The term ἅγιος simply means holy. Angels are called holy as are the people of God. This word is also applied quite often to inanimate objects that God has designated as holy.

"Sons of God" is a term that seems to always applied to men. There does not seem to be any place in scripture where this term is ever applied to angels as many suppose.
I have to respectfully disagree...

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The cornerstone is not the capstone, it is part of the foundation. There was nary a human around when God laid the foundation of the earth.

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The term "sons of God" can apply to humans and can also apply to angels. Context is king.

LXX has river instead of flood, i.e., Euphrates River.

And now fear the Lord, and serve him in righteousness and justice; and remove the strange gods, which our fathers served beyond the river, and in Egypt; and serve the Lord. Joshua 24:14

In Job 1:6, why would you apply this to angels when there is nothing in the text to suggest these are angels? The word angels in never used in any verse where this term appears. To suggest that this must be angels is simply speculation.

I can see the possibility in verse 7.

hi everyone,
JOB 2:1 again there was a day when the sons of god came to present themselves
before the lord, and satan came also among them to present himself before the lord.

every time I read this verse makes me wonder , who are THESE SONS OF GOD?
I have been told that "we are" these sons of god. and some others says that they are another human race. because they also appear in the first book of the bible in genesis 6:4.

i will be so greatful if anyone can share a theory or opinion based on bible about it,

blessings...
Satan and his buddies (fallen angels)

so i have looked and looked i cannot find the scripture where they crossed the eurphraties can you look it up and send it to me,,,it's confusing why Joshuah would have them recollect crossing the Euphrates,

angels are called as MORNING STARS, NOT AS SONS OF GOD,.
hebrews 1:5 says for unto which of the angels said he at any time, thou art my son
this day have I begotten thee......?

He was referring to those who preceded Abraham in Ur of the Chaldees beyond the Euphrates. Which of the below makes sense?

Masoretic text
And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods. Joshua 24:2

LXX
And Joshua said to all the people, Thus says the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers at first sojourned beyond the river, even Thara, the father of Abraam and the father of Nachor; and they served other gods. Joshua 24:2

The Masoretic text is not wrong in this case; it has stream instead of flood. The translation that has flood is wrong. Sorry about the confusion.

angels were the first sons of God but not only begotten Jesus is the only begotten

The presentation of one's self before God is precisely what those in the Levitical system did who brought their sacrifices to the altar. God told them that when they brought their gifts to the altar he would meet them their and bless them and forgive their sins. This is indicative of acts of worship. There is no reason that this is not simply referring to the worshipers of God - sons of God who lived in the time of Job. It seems rather obvious that Job is one of these and God points him out to Satan and asks have you considered my servant Job? Would this not seem to better fit the context?

Hmmm, and how many saw God face to face and lived? And why did they tie a rope to the ankle of the High Priest on the Day of Atonement when he went into the Holy of Holies?
