Ah, but it says much about the seventh day which has been labeled Saturday by the Gregorian Calendar.
It does say a lot about the Sabbath day. It's just that it's not Saturday or any other literal 24 hr period.

When are yu going to let the schoolmaster take you to where yuo need to be So like paul you can stop working?

Interesting you should say that, Sunday keeping churches have a long tradition of killing Sabbath keepers...

[/B]

One of the oldest ploys in the book, justification by accusation.
You are right. That is right this eye for an eye must stop. God is in no building made with human hands.

To me, it was the letter of the Law that brought the strictness and bondage to the Sabbath and it was religious man who made it a ritualistic burden because of the letter.

God created the day holy, which means it's special to God and should be to His people. The Sabbath is a time of celebration and fellowship. In Christ we are set free from the letter of the Law to celebrate the Sabbath for what it was intended for, a memorial of creation. It's a holy day so set it aside and celebrate as you would a happy day.

Nehemiah 8:10 He said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The day was never changed to another day but the keeping of the letter was. Make the Sabbath day special and a joy, not ritualistic and legalistic. Do what you want to make the day special and do what you need if the details of life prevent you from celebrating the Sabbath this week. We are not to judge anyone in what they do on the holy and ordained days of God.

Remember what Jesus taught us...Matthew 12:12..."it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
Thank you for your kind reply and may the, "none is good, but GOD", the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, bless you with HIS kindness and peace.

Yes, i remember by the Help of the HOLY SPIRIT, Matthew 12;12 and thank you again. dearly beloved. By comparing what JESUS said, also remember to witness in the same Gospels, what was actually JESUS doing on that day and why was HE in opposition with the religious Pharisees, even in HIS teachings, witnessing and practicing on that same very day of rest, weekend after weekends, that also caused furious anger among the leaders of Israel, Some of them were also religious teachers for Israel's holiness, who already learned, and follow themselves and stand by to all of them, the whole Law of Moses strictly, even in the matter of Sabbath, all of their devoted religious lives?

So, please let me by the help of the HOLY SPIRIT, encourage you on one Holy Scripture, of JESUS's reply to the Pharisees, who questioned HIM, and accused HIM for wrong doing and also in influencing and teaching others to do the same (who believe HE is the MESSIAH), on that same Holy day of rest, initially given by GOD through Moses for Israel. In one part of HIS defense, in order to justify HE is the MESSIAH, 'LORD of/over the Sabbath' and the New Testament/Covenant, HE replied like this, by opposing their forefather's traditions and doctrine of men and practices, and saying;

"My FATHER is always working and I too must work."

So, if you dearly beloved, believe that we must all do Good on that day, then start doing as according to the Holy Scripture, as JESUS did in the Gospels, for our witnessing and believe and spiritual knowledge faith, that is by first liberating all those in this world, who are still living in poverty, to honor that very same Holy day called Sabbath.

Our true rest and day of rest, is in the FATHER's place of rest with HIM, in Heaven and they also justify why JESUS said this in the Gospel that;

"Foxes have dens and birds have nests but the SON of man have no place to rest." (during HIS ministry for the Kingdom of GOD, here on earth, only work, work. work, in order to save and restore the lost)

So, we can witness together that, confession of the carnal, babes in CHRIST, conflicts with those who are gifted Spiritually matured and justifying the New Covenant sayings.

i hope this justification help us all as one family, not to confuse each other and put burden on, GOD'S lambs and sheep, who are liberated in CHRIST.

As JESUS also say to those who disagree HIM that;

"You cannot put new wine into an old vine bag skin because that old vine bag skin, will only swell and burst open and the new wine will be lost. New wine should be only put in a new vine bag skin."

People who remain stubborn in the Old sayings, cannot receive the New and they will be conflicting against them. They have to become born new in the HOLY SPIRIT and forsake carnal daily, in order to be able to receive the New and remain intact together and witnessing.

Strictly, in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST, no one must further pass any judgement on such people, for they have been already straighten, by the LORD's words, in HIS reply, in correction and for them to be encouraged and further be built up, from now on, in the New Testament.

God always works through mediators. He used Israel to reveal Himself to the world and bring salvation to the world.

Isaiah 49:1-6 Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name. He made my mouth like a sharpened sword,in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver. He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.” But I said, “I have labored in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing at all. Yet what is due me is in the Lord’s hand, and my reward is with my God.” And now the Lord says,he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God has been my strength, he says: “It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”

Any Law God gave to Israel He gave through Israel to the whole world.

Exodus 12:49 "One law shall be for the native-born and for the foreigner who dwells among you."

Leviticus 24:22 "You shall have the same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God.’”

The Law, including the sacredness of the seventh day Sabbath, was given to all mankind, including the Gentiles and even the animals as well.

Isaiah 56:1-8 This is what the Lord says: "Be just and fair to all. Do what is right and good, for I am coming soon to rescue you and to display my righteousness among you. Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath day of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong. "Don't let Gentiles who commit themselves to the Lord say, "The Lord will never let me be part of his people." And don't let the eunuchs say, "I'm a dried-up tree with no children and no future." For this is what the Lord says: I will bless those eunuchs who keep my Sabbath day holy and who choose to do what pleases me and commit their lives to me. I will give them within the walls of my house a memorial and a name far greater than sons and daughters could give. For the name I give them is an everlasting one. It will never disappear! "I will also bless the Gentile who commit themselves to the Lord, who serve him and love his name, who worship him and do not desecrate the Sabbath day of rest, and who hold fast to my covenant. I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. For the Sovereign Lord, who brings back the outcasts of Israel, says: I will bring others, too, besides my people Israel."

Well, if it won't save anyone, just throw it out! What good is anything that won't save? I don't see why in the world God included it in scripture, anyway. Pure waste of our time. God had saved the Hebrews from slavery when He gave the law to them, that was all done, so they didn't need any old law anyway, they were saved. It was probably only in God's pure meanness to convict them of sin.

Besides, if it was for the Jews, it sure isn't for us. We are gentiles not Jews. They have Passover to celebrate Christ, we have Easter, and it is so much better, even has rabbits. Those dumb Jews don't know anything about rabbits.

lol,, Yep pure waste of time. Just think, If God did not put it in there, we ALL would walk around thinking we are fine with God because we are such good people. And heck, how would we know any better? There is no law which condemns us.

Whats amazing is you lawyers think the law which PROVES we are sinners, think you are moral good people with God and God is happy with you. When if you took the law literally. you would see how unhappy and unpleased God is with you, because according to the law, your condemned.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

And it is amazing how blind the people are who say the law in only to condemn us, when God gave it for so many different thinks.

I can't understand why red necks always start swinging instead of talking! Or why putting on Christ and dying to self so you follow Him is so looked down on by some people! You say you do that, yourself, so why attack others for doing that? Do you really think that putting on love of Christ, results in having to ignore what Christ stands for? Or that Christ did not stand with Moses? Christ was with the Lord as he spoke to Moses, if he changed His mind about what He told Moses Christ would have told us not to listen to him, yet he often talked of listening to Moses without one word against him.

Your logic is flawed. You are saying that everything has a direct opposite. What is the opposite of a bicycle? What is the opposite of a tree?

Neither saves or kills.

The purpose of the law was to show people are sinful and fail to keep the law.
This is to drive people to Christ. Once we have Christ, he sends the spirit, which convicts of sin.
Once we have the spirit, there is no need for the law. The spirit teaches us what to do. It convicts us when we do wrong.
Those who focus on the law do it at the expense of the spirit.

It isn't about breaking the law or keeping the law.
It isn't about the law.
It is about Jesus.
Why are you obsessed with the law? (Or maybe it was Armstrong who was???)
Nice point. The lawkeepers always say that they are following all of GODs word, but you can't be old testament and new testament. If you are old testament you are suppose to keep all the law and if you are new testament then you are not under law.

In all my study of scripture I have never found one verse that says that. It says that if you miss even one law you need Christ. The OT points out it is only through blood that atonement could happen, that no one but God was capable of accepting you to live eternally. Scripture all says that we have grace available. But I find no scripture that says that when you break the law it always means death without atonement or forgiveness available.

I have never read a scripture saying that God cancelled His promises of the OT, except the one given Adam and Eve when they broke the terms of that promise. I have read it was improved, it was growing old, and would someday become obsolete, but not that God canceled it. You would have to tell me where this is told about. I wondered, so I searched and searched and could only find assurances that God always is true to his word, even, so certainly God would be true to a legal document like a covenant.

I object you calling anyone dumb, Pentecost they were all jewish there.(not one gentile). and proves, god saved the jewish christain too. guess they are not (to your opinion) the only one that is dumb.

and peter a jewish brother and a disciple of jesus Christ, who went out side of law, and went to Cornelius home. by following the holy spirits direction, history, now records that a gentile can be saved. (no Pentecost no gentile being saved. ) and no jesus , no one to introduce you to god, or the holy spirit.
believing in a god is not enough, you need jesus. (john3.16.) jesus open the gate to the true god. and the holy spirit.

not bad for god s eternal plan, to save, and use jews to tell the gentiles, to bring his plan to the end of his time plan.
thank you lord jesus.

Why is it that when we obey God, by honoring His seventh day Sabbath, we are identified, by some, as being in bondage? Do you consider yourself in bondage when you abstain from adultery, murder or worshiping false gods and idols?

Now let me ask you this question. If you believe we are breaking the literal Sabbath rest if we do any form of work on the seventh day are you considered a violator of your spiritual Sabbath rest if you do any form of obedience any day of the week?

Are you afraid of violating your spiritual rest through obeying any of God's commandments in the same way you believe we are violating the day of rest by our disobeying God on that day?
If we are able to be tempted, we are consider to be in bondage; because our hearts desires it, but the laws prevented us from doing it. Sabbath was made for us, not for us to serve the Sabbath. The body needs one day out of a week to rejuvenate itself, so that it can function for the rest of the week. So basically we should separate ourselves from any kind of work or from any kind of mental, emotional, and physical stress in order for our body to relax. On that day a person should meditate on positive things and which negative thoughts are stressful. God had made it as a command because they didn't know or afraid to relax one day out of a week because their livelihood is dependent on working, because they believe if you don't work, you don't eat type of mentality and which God is trying to get the people to trust in Him. It's just like a parent that command their children to go to bed early, and the child doesn't know by going to bed early benefit them, but they believe that it would be more beneficial for them to stay up late because they can get more activities done, but not thinking that their mind will crash the next day and get less done. Some kids follow these commands but not knowing what they will accomplish from it, but they look at it as a law instead of seeing the good that comes from it.

A slave to sin is bound to sin just like a glutton is bound to food. Bondage creates the lie of deception to cause one to even think they are not in bondage. Many are still in bondage in their thinking. Freedom is only in Jesus who came to set the captives free and give liberty to them who are bound still! If we seek true understanding we get understanding of how Jesus frees us and no longer lean to our own finite weakened understanding. We no longer walk in bondage and recognize when we do. Side note why does everyone keep trying to tie the Sabbath in every thread!!!!! Bondage thinking!!!!!
