We argue and debate over and over for years and yet there is not one verse in the Bible that says Sunday in the Lord's day. You don't find one time, not one time where Jesus taught about Sunday. Who are we following when we practice and teach that, Sunday is the Lord's day? Are we following Jesus? Are we following the Father?

Actually every day is the Lord's day for He made them all. So why get hung up on what day you get together with other Christians to worship the Lord?

Worship?

Did you know that when you honor the seventh day, in light of what it represents and in light of what God has said, that, in itself, is an act of worship. So, yes, we worship God every day in that we live and practice what God has taught us everyday and that includes honoring the seventh day as the Lord's Day and honoring the other six as normal work days. Honoring God's word and practicing righteousness is the foundation of true worship.

Ps 118:24 does state that the Lord has made the day so they are all His.

Now this Sabbath thing. Sabbath means rest. The injunction is to have one day when you rest. It can be any day but one in the seven. Jesus taught that the Sabbath is made for the man not the man made for the Sabbath. If you worship the day instead of the Lord Who made it you profane the Sabbath. The commandment is not mentioned in the NT. The Sabbath is mentioned but not the commandment. Romans 14:1-13 teaches that we rest on one day but it does not need to be a specific day.

I rest on Sunday even though I go to church and participate in the services. There is a work that is rest so the Sabbath need not be a day of doing nothing like taking no more than six steps at a time. Let's not become hyper-legalists over the Sabbath.

God created all days so all days belong to Him. So that means He didn't created one day to be special? God created all mankind so all mankind are His but does that mean all mankind are His sons and daughters? No! What determines if one is a son or a daughter of God? What determines if one is a brother or sister of Jesus Christ?

Matthew 12:50 Jesus said, "For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

So you see, God did create all mankind but only those who obey Him are His sons and daughters. And yes, God did create all days but there is one day He created as special for His sons and daughters.

Worshiping on Sunday comes from the same place as which books are in the Bible. If you accept the books in the Protestant Bible, then perhaps you should also accept Sunday worship. However, you can also pick and chose - that is pretty common with religion these days. But it doesn't make you any more clever, special, religious or anything else.

Thanks for proving my point. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and was hated for it. If you choose Saturday for your worship day that is fine but do not lift yourself above another who sees Sunday to be of the same value. Other wise you sin and cause someone to stumble.

Go find for me where the fourth commandment is repeated in the NT.

What do you have against Paul? He got his gospel directly from Christ. Do you deny his credibility?

Romans 14:4-6 "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. [SUP] [/SUP]One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
[SUP] [/SUP]He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks."

The problem today is that people have forgotten the battle that rages on over worship. Will you worship God or Satan? True worship is founded on obeying what God has said, and Satan knows that. Satan has been distorting what God has said from the very beginning of time. He is still using the same tactic of distorting what God has said the only thing now is, he is using a form of religion to do it. Either way, it achieves the same results, false worship. God told His people this would happen in the last days. He said a man would rise up and change God's times and God's Law. In order for this to happen Satan has to change what God has said. We find this has happen in today's modern translations of the word of God.

Let me give you one example. If Satan is going to get the majority of the world to believe Sunday is the Lord's day Satan will have to tweak the word of God to get people to fall for his plan. Has Satan changed the word of God? Yes he has. Let me give you an example but you will need eyes to see. The Bible says that Mary bought the spices to anoint Jesus' dead body after the Sabbath ended but then the Bible says she prepared the spices and then rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment. The reason for this, so called, contradiction is because there were two Sabbaths with a normal work day separating them during the week of Jesus' crucifixion. You can't fit two Sabbaths and a normal word day with a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday resurrection. This was all done to get you to believe Sunday is the Lord's day because Sunday is the resurrection day and everyone believes it with not one Bible verse to support it.

If I find it in the teachings of Jesus then yes I would. The teachings of Jesus is the standard for New Covenant people.

1 John 2:6 whoever says, “I abide in him,” ought to walk just as he walked.

John 12:48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Classic. Ignore the point and just make up your own. How on earth is it about worshiping Satan. Such utter tripe. I think you are the one ignoring what God has commanded by constantly stirring up division. This is not of God. Perhaps you want others to worship Satan?

Have you ever noticed that the Pharisees were always upset with Jesus for not keeping the Sabbath. And this just rolls off your back. And you assume that they were way off. And yet in the OT a man was killed for gathering wood and the people were rebuked for gathering manna. And Jesus' defended the disciples for rolling grain between their fingers and eating it. You say that you want to "walk just as He walked". Show me a verse where Jesus instructed anyone to keep the Sabbath - IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.

At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat. [SUP]2 [/SUP]But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath.” [SUP]3 [/SUP]But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions, [SUP]4 [/SUP]how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone? [SUP]5 [/SUP]Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent? [SUP]6 [/SUP]But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here. [SUP]7 [/SUP]But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire compassion, and not a sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

1 Peter 2:4-10
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, [SUP]5 [/SUP]you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. [SUP]6 [/SUP]For this is contained in Scripture:
“Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone,
And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.”

[SUP]7 [/SUP]This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve,
“The stone which the builders rejected,
This became the very corner stone,”

[SUP]8 [/SUP]and,
“A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;

for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; [SUP]10 [/SUP]for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Scuba, you are barking up the wrong Tree when you are pushing the Sabbath. If you want to observe the Sabbath, Enjoy and I hope you are blessed. But stop forcing it on others, PLEASE. We have been freed from the Old Law. We have died to the Old, and live in the New. This does not mean that we encourage sin...well, you've read the Bible, so why should I repeat Paul (he made it very clear).

It would take me a long time to untie all the wrong interpretations you have of what Jesus was doing. Every time Jesus taught, regarding Sabbath observance, He was teaching us how to observe the Sabbath. Jesus taught many, many times regarding Sabbath observance and not once did He ever say it was done away with, never mind it being changed to another day. I'm a born again, Bible believing, Jesus following Christian who needs no Law on stone to tell me to honor something that God created to be holy, blessed and sanctified. Those words alone and my love for God move me to honor God and what He has done. The Law on stone didn't make the day special, God did long before the Law on stone. The Law on stone only forces the ungodly through fear of punishment to live as God calls people to live. I don't need that kind of motivation for me, I have the Spirit of God and the love of His ways.

You quote 1 Peter 2:9-10 but you fail to go back to when God said it first because when you do He tells you how He will make these people His won people. The very next thing God gives after that quotes that is His Law on Stone. Now don't let that roll off your back.

Your trying to limit the Lord's rest to one day, and debating over which day it is. In so doing, we miss the whole purpose of Christ and the real meaning of rest. Sabbath-keeping is not a Christian sign of the new covenant, Colossians 2:16-17 makes that very clear. If Christ is Lord of the Sabbath, then Christ is the Sabbath, and Christ is our rest. Given a choice, if you could find your rest on Saturdays or find your rest in Christ, which would you choose? "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls" (Matthew 11:29). Our Sabbath rest was fulfilled and realized in Christ
, he is our permanent rest.
