Jesus ~ by Akiane Kramarik-746269.jpg

Just watched "Heaven is for real" and afterwards I googled the child prodigy Akiane Kramarik.

Also 033-Yeshua-Jesus.jpg
Found that online, should we call Jesus for Joshua? What are your thoughts on that lol.

I read the book, this pic - the first one which is in the back of the book, a likeness seen by a girl who supposedly visited Heaven (not sure what I believe tbh) somehow this picture rings true to me. The green eyes and the modern haircut can't be right but the kindness in those eyes...wow!

The image of Isaiah 52-53 where His visage is marred more than any other man. The visage of the thorn crowned brow and the nail pierced hands. Broken for my sin His back laid open by the stripes He received in my stead. The visage of Him ascending into heaven in all His glory and righteousness bright shining as the sun. The image only the Holy Spirit can create in the heart of a sinner humbled at the foot of His cross pleading for mercy to be forgiven for all his sins.

The image when I see Him face to face. What glory that will be.

For the cause of Christ

This is the picture I have of Jesus that some Mormon missionaries gave to me in 1991. The original oil painting was completed in 1983 by Del Parson. This is what I believe Jesus looks like, but it is just my own personal opinion. :)

the kind that would annihilate anyone's eyeballs to look upon

There he was transfigured before them.
His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

(Matthew 17:2)

Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.
(Acts 9:3)
Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
(Acts 9:8-9)

In his right hand he held seven stars,
and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword.
His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance
.
(Revelation 1:16)

Truly I tell you,
whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine,
you did for me.

Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Seems accurate enough. Jesus is a name apart from most though, not many people are called Jesus even less Yeshua, plenty of Joshua's though. Think I'll stick with Jesus or Yeshua.

We aren't to create a fleshly body for Christ and say that is Christ!! God is spirit and truth, not relating to a fleshly body.

My daughter lives in a body that has been so beautiful on the outside that it overwhelms who she is. It was just fine for sitting still all day long thinking as little as possible while cameras ground away. It stood in the way when she was dating, men wanted to show her off when they didn't care a lick about her as a person. Doctors explained to her that as perfect as her outside was, exrays showed some misshaped insides. Some potential employers turned her away, saying they needed her mind and they didn't think a good mind could live in such a beautiful body.

Christ is our Savior, Christ is God. Christ lived in a physical body for a short time, but we don't have a picture of that body He lived in, and now Christ has been transfigured. We must not try to put Christ in a fleshly body, it would be a distortion of Christ.
