But the passage says turned over to satan that he be saved on the Day of Christ. Obviously, this means you can lose your salvation and God has to do that in the hope that you'll repent and not lose it.
That the spirit be be saved...not the man's soul. Big difference.

....your false, I keep myself saved left over lasagna dogma......
Continuing to believe in order to be saved is no more me trying to save myself through the merit of my own works than it was when I first started that believing in order to be saved on day one.

You still have yet to back up your claim that my continued believing is me trying to earn my own salvation. You win when you can produce that scripture. If you can I will publicly admit that I was wrong in a brand new thread.

What difference does it make that we can then conclude that Paul is not saying that this man has to be tuned over to satan in order for him to be saved in the Day of the Lord?

Your whole premise is false....and many have refuted your self saving left over lasagna dogma.....we are waiting on you to keep your word and admit your error......highly unlikely though........

Which one of you refuted me by posting the scripture that says me continuing to believe in order to be saved is me trying to earn my salvation? What passage was that?

Salvation cannot be forfeit and many have proven this by scripture....even the above and your continued stance and push of MAY be saved and when shown it is false after you pushed it you again changed your story and pushed a different twist....face it...your false...your gospel is false....and it not only demeans JESUS it makes him into an inept fool that cannot keep his world

Yeah fellas. We know salvation cant be lost, because its not of works to begin with, duh!

Rev. 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

^Looks like someone's name was in the book of life, and it can be blotted out, unless he overcomes. But i already know the answer to this as well "Who is he that overcomes, but he who believes Jesus is the son of God" which if applied to this again, renders the entire warning pointless and meaningless. Since no one can give up their belief in Jesus being the son of God either. So no matter how you twist and turn it, its a useless passage and an empty warning.

Ezekiel 18:24-26
"But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that a wicked man does, will he live? All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die. "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not right.' Hear now, O house of Israel! Is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right? "When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies because of it, for his iniquity which he has committed he will die."

Romans 11:19-23
You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in." Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you. Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again.

There are probably a hundred verses about it, but its pointless to quote em because the answer is always the "they went out from us cause they werent of us" from John's epistle.
Only problem is, ya cant apostate, or give up, or turn away from something you never had.

Hebrews 6:4-6
[4] For it is impossible for those who were once illuminated, have tasted also the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] Have moreover tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [6] And are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance, crucifying again to themselves the Son of God, and making him a mockery.
I’m confused on how does Incorruptible seed become corrupted?

Your translation is wrong, it appears to be Catholic, it translates "μετανοία" the Greek word for repentance (from BAGD Greek lexicon) as "penance" any one can punish themselves all they want, but it will never pay for forgiveness of sins, because forgiveness of sins and repentace is by faith/belief, you can not pay for it by punishing yourself.

Acts 15:8-11 “And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us,9 and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.10 Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?11 But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.”

The beautiful thing about Hebrews 6:1-8, it is not speaking of Christians, here is Hebrews 6:9 “Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation.”

The writer of Hebrews is speaking of those that have heard the Gospel and expireanced the fellowship of the body of Christ, yet will not repent after hearing the word of the Gospel and repentance.

It doesn't. It simply doesn't remain in some people:

13“Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away." (Luke 8:13 NASB)

24"
As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father." (1 John 2:24 NASB)

It means what it says, it says what it means. No, a person in this condition can never return. But you must really understand what this condition is. It is not something that happens accidentally, or without notice. If you have to second guess yourself, then it’s most likely you do not have this condition.

My cousin does. She was born and raised in the church, went faithfully until adulthood. She ate at our potlucks, she commented in class, she taught others the truth- which she knew full well. But then she became Muslim in order to marry a certain man. She left the truth, she tasted and knew of God’s goodness, yet she left Jesus Christ for an earthly man- subjecting Him to public disgrace.

She can never return! She can physically come back to church, sit on our pews, sing our songs, return to our potlucks, partake of the Lord’s Supper in vain, read the Bible daily, and go through the motions of Christianity until she dies. But, God will never again accept her as His child. Her fate is already sealed- for she left the truth to practice a lie.

This is one example of how OSAS is a false doctrine.

What is amazing is how many Christians think they can live in their old lives and not have the 'things that accompany salvation' and still think they are saved. We have Calvin to blame for this horrible deceit in the church.

...oh, and by the way, you can not be renewed to salvation. God does not allow that. Once you lose it, it's over.
In some cases yes, but not in the case of a prodigal son who returns to the father before he dies.
