One time when I was living in my 5th wheel with my then 4 year old I think I fed him some bad ranch dressing. Anyway, in the middle of the night I ended up with spagetti and salad all over me and some even got it my mouth. (He was sleeping with me at the time). It was really warm suddenly. So does that count for being a vomit Christian? I was a Christian and I had vomit all over me....and in my mouth.

I'm a special effects enthusiast...there's a new one out...looks to be more out there than the last one

I am so tired of condemnation. Results from that type of 'preaching' do not seem to have a lasting effect....you know, the love of God put me on my knees far more often then fear of hell

I honestly don't think we get it half the time...me included...God keeps putting us in remembrance of Himself cause people get it wrong so much, if He didn't, we would never know the truth

right?

You know Suzanna made this thread and in all honesty I believe she had un pure intentions to say the least but this thread has become a source of laughter and joy for me very much like how God loves to turn the enemies schemes into our good

Yeah... 'I will spew thee out of my mouth' in Revelation. Jesus is talking about a church family. Not an individual christian alone.

This is about a luke warm local church (not the building.. but that local assembly of saved, baptised believers) eg.. church at Ephesus.. church at Phillipi

And it is representative of a church age, where in today's churches most christians are materialistic and in between hot and cold in their faith for God.

So.. each of God's churches that He calls His own.. would have the Holy Spirit 'dwelling in the midst' see Matthew 18.

Each individual in each church would have the Holy Spirit 'indwelling' their soul.

Two different things.

A church may have the Holy Spirit taken from them.. no longer in the midst. They then become just a social club or just a group of christians assembling.. rather than having the Holy Spirit there in the midst.

Each individual in that church though, even after no longer being one of God's churches...KEEPS their salvation.

Jesus isn't spewing out people from His Family of every believer. He has committed to never do that to a saved person.

He is removing the Comforter from a local church family.

'The Lampstand' in the churches in Revelation. .. that is the place of the Holy Spirit in a church family.

The word of God does have some strong language hither and yon.

Pride; hebrew: maggots.

Wolves leading flock into 'pasture': gangrene.

He called the pastors in Jerusalem a few choice names: wolves, graves with dead men's bones, snakes, etc..

So I guess vomit christians aint so bad. But we need to be Spirit led I believe. Ezekiel 3:26, God tells the prophet to keep mum for the people are rebellious. He would direct him when to speak.

John R. Rice was a fine old preacher. Had a good bit to do with Sword of the Lord publishing. I only wonder how many churches today could tolerate his plain preaching of Gods word. He did not fear to call out sin and name sin by name.

If old John R thought the church was lukewarm back in his day what ever would he say today?

It would do some of you good to read some of his stuff. Real edification from a man who knew hardships not the life of ease we have today.

For the cause of Christ

Everyone it has brought to my attention that my words here have represented anything but love patience and honesty and if this is so then I deeply apologize. I sometimes get into a silly and playful mood and I fear that sometimes I may say things that ought not be said or at least in the way they were.

I am grateful for the correction given to me whose name I will not speak out of respect and I want that person to know I am very appreciative
And also for those who know the name of the person I ask please do not mention it

You have not said anything that was mean or disrespectful. Also, there is nothing wrong with being playful as that represents joy in your heart. I would only hope and pray for such joy myself. I can be quite playful at times but the last time that happen is more than I can remember.

Perhaps however I would rather apologize for being in the wrong even if I wasn't than to not apologize being in the wrong

don't wear that Blain

don't take that on...every thread the op posts is about making someone feel bad

I also get into a silly and playful mood...something wrong with that?

my husband and I were laughing and joking at lunch to day...he says to me 'you're full of it' while laughing...but that is part of what he loves about me

you know, some people just love to keep others down because they sublet the basement themselves

please Blain...don't take that on...it isn't true...If I took to heart some of what some people have said about me here? I would have to wear sackcloth and ashes...and for a fact, some people would be glad to see that
