Nl’s original assumption, after all, was that a seven day week was found everywhere. He raised this as a demonstration of a shared tradition with Genesis. That the opposite situation is in fact true means the tally mark must be added to my side of the column.
Cycel, I'm willing to concede many tally marks in the conversation so far. You've earned more than a few. I've been scrambling for responses in more than a few instances.

But, be reminded: earthly honors and riches and estates are fleeting. You can't take any of that with you beyond this life and this earth.

The honors and benefits that God promises to his people are enduring:

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. - John 14:2

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” - 1 Corinthians 2:9

Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable trophy, but we an imperishable. - 1 Corinthians 9:25

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 1 Peter 1:4

"I've cut myself off from Jesus, there is no going back" .... so much for unconditional love

No I am not looking to be convinced, nor is anybody looking to be convinced of something they don't agree with.
You can still convince me, people can change their mind even when that is not their intent.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE"
To make you frustrated apparently :)
I am partly here looking to question your beliefs to see if christians can provide good reasons to justify their belief.
I am mainly here in posts playing "devils advocate" as the devil i guess.
I try not to start any controversial threads, nor do i actively try to de-convert anyone.

I hope you are not banned, you certainly have the right to say your opinion.
Is there a way for you to block me so you do not see my posts?

anyway i wish you well, but unless i am banned I do not intend to leave.
Right, cause you know God so well huh? It's funny that people can you people can be just as illogical as most of you claim us to be. You're enjoying this aren't you? People like you are like a paradox to me. I find you to be quite irritating, you're probably glad to hear that given your choice of words (remember, word choices speak volume about a individual's personality). The member's here have their perspective and I have mine, call it whatever you want. Have your limelight, I hope you get whatever joy want from it, it shouldn't last you too long though.

You are speaking for yourself, of course, for I've easily handled his objections simply because I have enough scholarly resources here to easily handle them. I stand on the shoulders of giants so to speak.

What I concede is that atheism is a false metaphysical view and as I posted in #187, http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/90384-ask-atheist-10.html#post1508036, William Lane Craig's assertion is correct that "that, at most, (soft) agnosticism is the stance that should be taken, not atheism, in the face of (apparent) lack of evidence for God" which is not the case as we have a great body of scholarly empirical evidence for the existence of the God of the bible that is confirmed by a large body of experiential evidence from people alive today.

Atheists claim disbelief but when they do so after exposure to a large body of scholarly empirical evidence and a large body of experiential eye witness testimony they cannot refute: this also suggests willful denial.

If you have nothing beneficial to add to the discussion then... could you please leave?

I've reported you to the moderators so they can examine your angry posts here and determine what to do about them.

Forgive me, but mind your own business.

Albeit the Administration of this site does not prohibit atheists from joining and posting here, we have decided that we should not maintain a thread where the sole purpose is for atheists to propagate their lack of belief.
