The Lord is revealing the devices of Satan so that Christians can learn to battle the real enemy as he attacks their lives, instead of battling one another. The main thing we need to do is to take authority over Satan, casting him out of our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Satan is a robber and a thief, and he delights in destroying God's children. God wants us to grow up, stop acting like children by fighting with one another, and fight the real enemy, Satan. We need to lay down our lives for our mates and loved ones and be aggressive in prayer against the wiles of the enemy. He will flee when commanded to do so in the name of Jesus. If the attack is from without, carried on by Satan's suggestions, temptations and influences, we still fight him the same way we would if he has gained access and entered the body with dominating control. We call on God with a humble heart and submit our entire lives to Him, and then aggressively resist the devil, commanding him to leave in the name of Jesus. We should speak this command out loud. We need to realize also there are certain conditions one must meet in order to gain permanent deliverance from demon bondage. We first must be a child of God to receive help. If you are not "born again," simply invite Jesus to come into your heart and save your soul. Accept God's Word that says He loves you and wants to give you abundant life. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). To receive this abundant life you must repent and turn from your sins and accept God's provision of the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the only way to cleanse you. Sin has separated you from God, and receiving Christ restores you to fellowship with Him and you become a part of the family of God. "But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God..." (John 1:12).

While I agree with most of the below, allow a few interjections in blue:
The Lord is revealing the devices of Satan so that Christians can learn to battle the real enemy as he attacks their lives, instead of battling one another. The main thing we need to do is to take authority over Satan, casting him out of our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Satan is a robber and a thief, and he delights in destroying God's children. God wants us to grow up, stop acting like children by fighting with one another, and fight the real enemy, Satan. We need to understand that Satan is NOT omnipotent. He cannot be in more than one place/person at a time. It is highly unlikely that he would ever bother with any of us UNLESS you were some sort of high exposure, high level of ministry (world wide) Christian. And he Does mess with ministers of that caliber which is why they always have teams of intercessors praying for them on a daily basis. However, he does send his minions...his demons to torment believers on an hourly basis. It is in the understanding of WHY assignments from the kingdom of darkness and the demonic
have the right to accost us that holds the key to becoming the Overcomer that we are called to be. When we suffer, we need to ask Holy Spirit WHY...where is the open door? What is the unrepented sin or the generational curse and iniquity that needs to be confessed or acknowledged and broken off? An Overcome seeks the Lord on these things so that they can Stand against the enemy that is not flesh and blood!

We need to lay down our lives for our mates and loved ones and be aggressive in prayer against the wiles of the enemy. He will flee when commanded to do so in the name of Jesus. The demonic will flee only if their assignment has been canceled and their right to accost is removed. Christians need to understand that the Kingdom of God is VERY-well organized, militarily organized, with Christ as the Head. Likewise, the kingdom of darkness is also very-well organized, with Satan as its head. Assignments are given from both thrones. There is no general in an earthly war that does not study the tactics of their enemy. So be WISE about how you pray...not begging God to do what He has already done at the Cross, but learning about the Armor of God, what it is and HOW TO USE IT. If the attack is from without, carried on by Satan's suggestions, temptations and influences, we still fight him the same way we would if he has gained access and entered the body with dominating control.Satan will enter the body of only one man and that is the Anti-Christ at the End Time. Nowhere in scripture will you read that he will enter anyone else. But he commissions his rebellious angels and his demons. And if you do receive Him as your Lord and Savior, you must be prepared to DO HIS WORD....because faith without action is dead. You cannot say "Oh, Jesus, come into my heart!" and then not do His word. You will not be saved.

That does not describe salvation by grace received by faith. That describes a works based salvation which is not of God.

We are to put on the whole armor of God to do battle for the Lord. Eph 6.

Jesus' disciples had a problem with not being able to cast out a demon from a child because they lacked faith. When they asked Jesus why they couldn't do it, He answered in Mark 9:19, 23, 26, 28, and 29: "He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me....Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth....And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him...And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting." The message Jesus was trying to get across to his disciples was that their faith was not sufficient for the job, and that the way their faith would be increased was by fasting and praying. He didn't mean for them to go fast and pray to get the demons out. Jesus was immediately able to cast them out because He was always praying, and He stayed close to the Father, thereby having faith and power over the devil at all times.

It is grace that gives life not faith. Works are produced by the living not the dead. You cannot work until you are made alive by Gods grace.

Ok,i am alive.I could believe and work bad things.I can not to believe but be a good person.Or u think it is impossible ?
Only if u believe and do good things that are plesent to God,u will get His grace.
Very simply.

James was speaking of those who pretend to believe in Christ but still live and act like heathen. James did not teach that one is saved because they do specific works or because they go to church. James never taught that grace was conditioned on works.

Sum it all up in Eph 2:8-10

Not biblical. Not correct. Gods grace is unconditional. Gods grace produces change that nothing else can produce but always the change is a result not a cause of Gods grace.

  1. Hebrews 6:1
[ The Peril of Falling Away ] Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
Dead works are works that are done in the flesh, that are self-serving, that do not promote or benefit the Kingdom of God.
  2. James 2:17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. One's faith needs to be ALIVE to the point of ACTION. Otherwise it is belief only and the devil himself believes the Word of God.
James 2:19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

  3. James 2:26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

I was just talking to my husband about this subject yesterday. On my yearly read through the Bible, the prophets warn of one thing - sin. And the ultimate sin is to disobey God and put other things before him (like idols!)

I cannot recall one word about demons in the Old Testament except maybe Daniel's reference to the "Prince of the Power of the air." Correct me if I am wrong. (In ESV there are three references to idols called demons, like goats and other totemic figures who the Caananites thought were gods)

But if you read the major and minor prophets, the narratives about history and the stories about what went wrong with Israel, and why God had to punish them, and finally cast them out as a people, it was NOT about demons, but about sin.

Focusing on demons is just WRONG.

Instead, focus on the fact that God is in control, and that Christ has conquered everything.

"He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him." Col. 2:15

Rulers and authorities are the demonic powers.

Please note: They are disarmed. Demons do not control Christians.

Christ has conquered the enemy. While the gospels are true and wonderful, and give us insight into the character of God through Christ, please remember that it was the cross and the resurrection that we as Christians are to celebrate.

Christ disarmed the demons - at least for those who are called by his name!

In fact, I would go so far as to venture to say, that those who focus on demons and oppression are putting other gods before Christ.

Work on your sin and your relationship with God. Transformation is what changes us - through the power of the Holy Spirit.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2

"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit." 2 Cor. 3:18

In Romans 12:2, the word "conformed" is συσχηματίζεσθε - or suschematizesthe. It means to be molded or conformed. The tense is present, imperative passive. That means we are commanded by God NOT to conform to this world and we must cooperate!

In the same passage the word "transformed" in the Greek is μεταμορφοῦσθε or metamorphousthe. This means to transform or change the inward reality; "be transformed in your innermost nature" It is also a present imperative passive, meaning God has commanded us to let the Holy Spirit work in our hearts and lives and change our very spirit. Same word, and tense with 2 Cor. 3:18

This is the true meaning of following Christ. It is not about our authority over demons, but Christ's authority over our lives and letting the Holy Spirit change us to be people who proclaim the good news of Christ's resurrection and death.

There are only two verses in the Bible that address the disciples having ἐξουσία or exousia over demons or unclean spirits. That is Mark and Mark. These are also given to specific people, and BEFORE Jesus disarmed the demons on the cross. Very bad hermeneutics to make a doctrine out of two verses!

Here is a great verse that also shows what Christ has done through his death and resurrection:

"that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, [SUP]21 [/SUP]far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. [SUP]22 [/SUP]And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church," Eph. 1:18-22

PS. This is a long passage - Read from Eph. 1:15-23 for the full thought, which has no breaks or periods!

Christ is the only real authority! Trust in him! Here is the post-resurrection passage that really counts about authority! And note that the authority given is for the purpose of making disciples or followers of Christ!

"And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Go therefore andmake disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,[SUP]20 [/SUP]teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:18-21.

My thought is that you need to read the whole Old Testament and start to glean the message of the Good News from the epistles and read in CONTEXT. Oh yes, and stop listening to these internet preachers who do not preach or know the whole counsel of God!

I forgot those verses in Mark - Mark 3:15, and Mark 6:7.

But then, most of you probably won't read my whole post anyway, so why do I worry! LOL

I guess that is what happens when you get into an interesting word study on "authority". Thanks for inspiring me to do that!

James 2:26 for just as the body without the spirit is DEAD, so also Faith WITHOUT Works is Dead. Yes I agree I know Dead works of the Flesh are dead and Faith without works is dead. I'm not talking about Dead works, I'm not pefect, and that we are saved by his grace I do believe in God's word and truth, We all need the knowledge of understanding and God's healing upon all of us here.

so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. 2Cor. 2:11
Wouldn't it be nice if Christians made a point of "not being ignorant of the schemes of satan" in their own life? Unfortunately we have pastors who never preach on this topic. Pastors who have never cast out a demon and even saddest of all they have never even identified demon possessed person who come to their church for help.

I know of a man who became possessed when he performed an occult ritual. He sought help from several local pastors and not one of them had a clue what to do. Two of those pastors suggested he get pshcological help. The third pastor told him it was "all in his head". What are you going to do if a demon possessed person asks you for help?

I was demon possessed and I knew better than to ask a local protestant pastor for help. I went to the only place that knew believed demon possession is real. I went to a local Catholic priest. He gave me some advice and even gave me some suggestions on how to deal with this demon. Now, I am not a Catholic and never have been one but they are light years ahead of protestants in helping people with demons.

I eventually found a protestant deliverance ministry an hours drive away from me. They helped me a lot. Then God paired me up with a lady and spiritually speaking, I am far better off now than 95% of Christians. Not only did I get free of the demonic but now I hear God speak to me. I can now see why everything in my life happened. I just wish other Christians would wake up on this issue, but God has everything under control.
