Good question indeed, but alas, I have read this tale many times.

Dinah

Genesis 34:1-4

1 And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife.

Question :

Who is the only "dark-skinned" mentioned in the Bible ?
Heh I'd argue many were mentioned as dark-skinned. I am guessing here you are meaning Solomon's unnamed wife in the 1st chapter of Song of Solomon.

Song of Solomon

1 The song of songs, which is Solomon's.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

Also Zipporah wife of Moses and all of the race of Cush (called Aethiopians or Ethipioans by the Greeks). Though this is more of an inference.

Numbers 12:1-10

12 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
[SUP]3 [/SUP](Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

Jeremiah 13:23

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

Quite a bit of skin color variation amongst the races in the Bible and ancient history, for race is not skin color. So not too sure who you were meaning, but interested in what you planned on the answer to be.

I was referring to Solomon's wife indeed. The Ethiopian are mentioned but it's not saying what is their skin color ? we know now that they are really dark, but it's not as clear as it is for the wife of Solomon.
As for the answer...I don't have time I have to go...bible study lol

Answer:

whoops i was typing while you were too =p

Elihu!

Then Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, burned with anger. He burned with anger at Job because he justified himself rather than God. He burned with anger also at Job’s three friends because they had found no answer, although they had declared Job to be in the wrong.
Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were older than he.
And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, he burned with anger.
(Job 32:2-5)

although he also condemned Job, he said even if Job hadn't sinned, it was not right for him to question God's justice.

And Elihu answered and said:
“Do you think this to be just?
Do you say, ‘It is my right before God,’
that you ask, ‘What advantage have I?
How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
I will answer you
and your friends with you.
Look at the heavens, and see;
and behold the clouds, which are higher than you.
If you have sinned, what do you accomplish against him?
And if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?
If you are righteous, what do you give to him?
Or what does he receive from your hand?

(Job 35:1-7)

my question is up there
but here it is again

no fair answer a question first :p

Basic Rules:

You will answer the person before you and also give the verses that support your answer and then ask your own question
All questions must pertain only to a Person, Place, or Event in the Bible.

what is a motif? its not in the Bible.

I found this but its not really three...

2 Chronicles 3
He overlaid the inside with pure gold. [SUP]5 [/SUP]The larger room[SUP][e][/SUP] he paneled with cypress which he overlaid with fine gold, and he carved palm trees and chainwork on it. [SUP]6 [/SUP]And he decorated the house with precious stones for beauty, and the gold was gold from Parvaim. [SUP]7 [/SUP]He also overlaid the house—the beams and doorposts, its walls and doors—with gold; and he carved cherubim on the walls.

Gold, palm trees, chainwork, stones, cherubim

sorry, "motif" as in repeated pattern, design, or distinct unifying set of repeated figures or images. i should have been more clear.

we were looking for "figures of angels/cherubim, palm trees and open flowers" and you (mostly) got it!
there are a number of verses that state this, but here's one:

And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers,
within and without.

(1 Kings 6:29)

so unlike Muhammed, God enjoys representative art. :)

question:

Who did Moses marry?

Answer:

Zipporah

Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back

(Exodus 18:2)

and later, after Zipporah had died, a Cushite (or Ethiopian, after the name of the land these days) woman

And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

(Numbers 12:1)

Josephus tells us that this Cushite woman's name was Tharbis, but that name itself isn't in the canonical scripture. (?)

who was the greatest prophet?

question:

Who did Moses marry?
Zipporah

Exodus 2:21
Moses agreed to stay with the man, who gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses in marriage.

but he also married a Cushite woman later as Numbers 12:1 says :"Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite."

And we know that Zipporah was a Midianite.

Who did the King Artaxerxes sent to Jerusalem to evaluate the situation ?
