Vdp...I totally agree with you...those who WERE biblically sound that have passed on into glory....such as SMith Wigglesworth and John G. Lake....wow...their sermons, their journals and bibliographies, inspire me daily, for they used GOD's Word to the max, believing all of it with NO arguments..and look what they accomplished by letting the Holy Spirit control their lives...awesome!!
I'm assuming, then, that you wouldn't have any problem with someone, today, saying they raised a person from the dead?

Wouldn't it be better to mention those that shouldn't be on your list of biblically sound teachers?

A rule of thumb that I use: Anyone who is influentially powerful, very rich, writes dozens of books in a few years, runs with the televangelist crowd, splashes their name all over everything they do (example: Jimmy Swaggart), or shows pride & arrogance will NOT be on my list.

Not only do we need to check the scriptures like the Bereans, but now we need to inspect their lives carefully with a big magnifying glass.

Graham would never be on my list.....
1. He's loved by the world (Jesus said true believers would be hated, not loved).
2. He's a freemason & runs in their circles.
3. He's a universalist.

The Bible said Jesus and the later disciples in Acts enjoyed the favor of people. Jesus hung put with ALL the lowest people.

Where can I find them?..I have not heard of them before....there are so many good teachers that the Lord is raising up now....I'm reading a new book from Ron Mcintosh called Organic Christianity...which seems really good so far...
Lewis Sperry Chafer was the founder of the Dallas theological seminary. Thieme studied under him.

So they preachers that have spread the true gospel.... And saved thousands and are "loved" by them.....
There were those that hates Jesus.... One Damascus roas later and he was loved.....yes it's true that not everyone will love you but I don't think judging by how much folks hate you indicates how much of a believer you are

The Bible said Jesus and the later disciples in Acts enjoyed the favor of people. Jesus hung put with ALL the lowest people.
They were given favor by the God to minister to the people, not for their personal pleasure to be famous. Paul & Barnabas got into trouble with their favor, for some wanted to worship them.
