Answers are in the Word of God. This is one thing I have learned. If someone truly wants a change in their life they must give all of themselves to the Lord.

How much is your friend willing to give to follow Christ? Is he willing to give up his homosexuality? There are so many Christians who want to follow Jesus but they are unwilling to give up their possessions (worldly things). Jesus doesn't just want part of us, He wants all of us. He just doesn't want us on Sunday's, He wants us everyday.

I agree with this except Sunday, the Sabbath is still God's day.

You're equating sex with rape and murder?
Sex is clean and good only in the state of marriage of one man and one woman. Sex in any other contest is sin.

We need to stop listening to religion. A gay person who has trusted in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ is SAVED!

Can a proud, self righteous person who has trusted in Christ for their salvation be saved? Yes.

I would rather be a believer who struggles with a gay lifestyle, than a believer who is proud and arrogant about all the things that they are not.
How about a straight person who is obeying God? A gay person who is repentant is forgiven. One who is still practicing gay life is a sinner and will not inherit eternal life. Need I quote this?

1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

odd how when you mention the 4th commandment, some believers say, "we are not under the law. we are under grace".

but when someone mentions homosexuals, they want to jump back under the law.
Not all of us break the fourth Commandment, some of us keep it. I keep it every seventh day just as God commanded.

Yes we are under grace but that doesn't mean we are free to sin. We have to account for deeds done both good and bad.

This is such a controversial topic. Asking humans this question is not an answer. The Word of God says to study to show thyself approved. The Word of God says ask God for wisdom which He gives liberally and unbraideth not. Tell your friend to pray, ask God for leadership and guidance. We can not condemn anyone to hell or put anyone in heaven.
Saying all that I was in a situation where I was pressured to be a lesbian but I could not. The Word says that we should be fruitful and multiply. Sex has become so defiled that it is for pleasure and not the true purpose God invited for. I have watched young men minds be polluted at a young age that they were punks because they were feminine or girls were dykes because they were manly. However we can not let the world define us.

A gay person cannot be a Christian because by definition a gay person is one who is practicing same gender sex and a person cannot be practicing same gender sex and be a Christian at the same time. You went on to explain that you were saying a homosexual can be saved and that is true, however a saved homosexual is not a homosexual anymore but is now a child of God.
I'm not sure you are correct on this. If you are not gay and confirmed as a Christian at say 14 or 16, you are saved through Christ and repentance. But your saying if they become gay they are not saved, basically. Because they are a practising homosexual. This is false unless we are required to never sin again to be saved. Repentance must be meaningful. I really want to stop smoking and I mean my repentance towards smoking, but I continue because it is difficult to stop. Am I not saved then. Because I'm a practising smoker. You see the point?

If they truly wanted to change they could!...If they truly have accepted Jesus as their savior, the Holy Spirit would take this sickness of their away from them.

Homosexuality is not genetic,,,it is learned lifestyle. Unlike smoking that is addictive, lifestyles can be changed and if they really truly take the Lord Jesus as their savior, they would be no longer homosexuals.


True, but the same could be said of smokers, drinkers or any addiction. Being weak in faith at different times does not mean you have no faith and don't believe. It's easier for most to stay on the path strongly if they have little else in their lives, such as preacher in a remote third world country etc and it is harder for someone in general, who lives in a modern, influencing and noisy society in comparison. In general. Not everyone lives in a quiet Christian village. So alot deal with more temptation and more failings to not sin.

If a homosexual is saved and continues the homosexual lifestyle they will be held accountable. God knows what we struggle with & is willing to help us overcome it. We just have to fully surrender to him. There are cases where people haven't fully surrendered & finds themselves back in sin.

This is the most confusing argument I deal with in regard to Christianity. The issue of judgement. Am I judged on my being saved and repenting one time and am forever saved because I meant it. Am I judged continuously until death and maybe not saved because of later resistance or sinning and guilt. Or am I being told I'm not saved by evil, confusing me? And on goes the confusion everytime this point pops up.

A homosexual can come to God, turn completely from homosexuality, and trust Jesus as Savior. If they do that then they are no longer a homosexual in the sight of God, they are a child of God. A person cannot come to God hanging on to their homosexuality and get saved, they have to repent and repent in this case means to totally forsake the homosexual life. Suppose I hit the bars and girls every night and I came to church and came forward to accept Christ as Savior. Now lets just suppose that I never stopped going to the bars and chasing the girls...did I get saved? OF COURSE NOT! We can only get saved when we FIRST repent and repent means to totally change our mind from going after sinful things to going after God. To sum this up. A homosexual who repents and excepts Christ as Savior is no longer a homosexual because he turned totally away from that sin. The original question itself was loaded, it was like saying, can a drug using womanizer be a Christian...of course he can't, and neither can a practicing homosexual be a Christian.

I agree that this is a very easy issue. Everyone is still sinning whether Christian or not. If anyone disagrees then that would mean they claim to be sinless since the day they accepted Jesus. If that is true, these so called Christians don't confess any sins anymore since they don't sin and can't possibly sin because once they do, they'd be guilty of turning away from God and going back in sin.

"What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’
‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.

“Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go.

“Which of the two did what his father wanted?”

“The first,” they answered.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him."

Easy right? Those who seem to be sinning maybe just the ones believing and really repenting while the ones claiming to be obedient actually sin in secret.
