i'm right there with you.

but what do you do when there are only two choices and one supports covetousness and usury, and the other supports lewdness and debauchery?
pick a sin you personally hate more and vote against it?

republican ≠ Jesus.
democrat ≠ Jesus.

there's only one name worth supporting under heaven, and i've yet to see it on a ballot. the gospel of gun rights is not the gospel i received. the gospel of tax cuts isn't the gospel i received. the gospel of closed borders isn't the gospel i received. the gospel of imperialist war isn't the gospel i received. the gospel of licentiousness isn't the gospel i received. the gospel of pantheism isn't the gospel i received. the kingdom i'm adopted into isn't of this world -- what fellowship do i have with it?

if there's no one to vote for, what is it i'm doing when i vote against? every four years we get a ticket with Satan v. Beelzebub. no one really wins this time.

WHY does every assume a Third Party Candidate, CANNOT WIN? Teddy Roosevelt, where is your Bull Moose Party when we need you?

At a tender age of 61 brother VCO I give yield to an older ones wisdom in the Lord. hehe ( 1 Tim 5:1) So let me become a bit shrewd??LOL ( matt 10:16) I only wish to use this one scripture as the rest is far to mean!!( psalm 109:8!!) Which says" let his days be few,let another take his office.

This i would stand and cheer for LOL To other eyes, a show of respect for an office held at present, for me, an office to which I would greatly enjoy another having!! LOL example only. lol So your wisdom in the Lord is correct! But no one ever said you had to mean it either!! LOL Blessing bro!!

I am 65 but that means you are catching up. When you were 4, I was 8, twice as old as you. Now look, how close we are to the same age. Both of us have joints that ache, both of us probably have already had cataracts surgery, both of us have to have a shopping list anytime our wives send us to the store for three or more items, both of us frequently go out to the garage to get something, and by the time we get there we cannot remember what it was. LOL, all things that our Dad's failed to warn us about. LOL.

I cannot remember who it was, or which State it happened in. There was a Senate seat vacant, and about half ways through the campaign season, one of the Candidates had a heart attack and won. Come the November Elections, the Dead Candidate won. LOL, can you imagine how the living Candidate felt. The People made a powerful statement with those Votes.

Yes, there have been a few Elections where I refused to vote for either Candidate and wrote in a Candidate, EVEN when he had never showed and Interest in running. Like the time I wrote in Gen. Colin Powell. It was either that or write in Mickey Mouse, LOL.

As we Americans NOW look forward to the 2016, Presidential Elections:

Do you believe we CHRISTIAN REGISTERED VOTERS can make a Difference if WE ALL VOTE?

make the difference before you vote....
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

No, because Christ is not on the ballot.

But seriously, God is Sovereign. These men believe that they govern the world, but they are subject to the Plan of the Almighty.

Don't distract yourself with idle thoughts of changing the world through political means.
Share the Gospel, and live it out. That is what we are called to do.
The rest of this is a huge worldly distraction.

Christ will right all of the wrongs. Christ will set up a new government, a better one. One that is without any flaws, and one that has TRUE FREEDOM.

Look to a "better land" as Abraham looked for a better land.

(BTW, was a Mormon really better than ... whatever Obama is... ? No. Romney is basically a democrat anyways.)
We are instructed to pray...

Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

In fact, that is to be our first request. When we pray (three times a day Psa 55:17) we should beseech God to bring His Kingdom to the earth. Our first purpose is what?

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

LOL VCO!!!!!! In one respect I am more free then you!! LOL I have no wife. LOL ( matt 19:10-12) I did have a chance to marry one time.i did not take it. This was before i became a believer. I did wish to marry after becoming a believer!!( Proverbs 18:22)

Because any more favor i could get from the Lord i would sure take!! But there are some such as myself who would be in favor in one area but lack in favor in many other areas of my life, as john above me wrote matt 6:33! i would have sought her favor more then I would of the Lord's and he knew this, hence why I have to suffer in grace in this area of my life I think bro.

As God knows every man's heart( 1 sam 16:7) he also know what could harden that heart as well!( please do read all of mark 6 then reach verse 52!) So important is this brother that Jesus talks about this again, in mark 8:17-21) verse 21 Do you understand Holy Spirit said to me as well?? LOL

Interesting after this, a blind man is talked about in verse 22 isn't it? I am very glad for brothers and sisters wisdom in this area i do not have. I believe a married man must endure much harder things in life, and be subject to many more questions then answers in his own life. But some brothers married indeed do have those answers!

They are as rare as a fine jewel, and have not only counted the cost better, but conquered better in Christ as well! For a couple in Christ Jesus has a witness to both his love and his very power!( 2 cor 13:1)Hence to me why a woman is so valuable to any man in Christ Jesus!

When my Pastor would become angry, and show his anger, his wife would say only his name! LOL Look with great love upon her face, and he would melt into understanding her wisdom in the Lord! Perhaps one day the Lord will send me a helpmate, but Holy Spirit says to me, do not look for help, when you are following me. LOL So I would say I was born a eunuch, and through my Jesus I was made one for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven, and LOL my sake!!( matt 19:12 I did not accept this for the longest time brother!! I grumbled a lot!

I stopped in my 30th year in Christ Jesus though. Took some time as you see!! LOL Being content, I believe one must learn how at all times and in all situations to remain content!( phil 4:4-13) and in my own life Jesus, not only will supply my needs( philp 4:19) But has!!

Through his most wonderful truth and grace, with great love!( john 1:14) His nature has now become mine! I say this with great boldness, because through him I can! Blessing always to you brother!

There are so many versions of Christianity, I don't see how there could be enough unity for your religion to make any differnce in the overall voting process. I mean, 75% of Americans identify as Christian, and that percentage has always been high. I don't think there is some minority outweighing the Christian vote. There are just way too many sects within Christianity to think everyone would vote for the same reasons.

I guess, you have not noticed, we only are of ONE MIND on all the Major ISSUES, like:
The NEED to Repent.
The DEITY of Jesus Christ.
The Doctrine of the Holy Trinity.
The fact that the Bible is the WORD OF GOD.
The fact that GOD keeps HIS WORD.
The fact that JESUS is Coming Again.
The fact that GOD wants us to submit to the Governing Authorities.

THEREFORE, we can AGREE that it is our advantage to Vote in as many real Christians as we can.

But what you believe is a "real christian" is probably different than what another christian believes is a real christian. Not even all christians agree that the bible is the word of God, in the trinity, that jesus was a deity, or the Jesus is coming again. And those who disagree with you will claim that they are true christians who follow the Bible, and that you are a false christian who interprets it wrong.

I agree for sure...problem is the old adage ....once a Democrat always a Democrat....wonder how many people who claim Christ voted for abortion, gays, lesbians, taking Christ and God out of everything, promoting Islam and the rights to slam Christianity without the right as a Christian to stand in public and profess our faith by voting for Democrats......!

If the votes didn't count, the President would not be trying to give Amnesty to 5,000,000 illegals.

And you really believe that the voters of the US put him in office?

Dan 4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

Dan 5:21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

NO, I have read the Doctrinal Statements of Faith from the vast majority of Mainline Christian Denominations, and our main CORE of Beliefs is the same, it is the little things that separate the Denominations that we differ and argue about.

The CORE of Mainline Christianity's Doctrinal Beliefs

The Inerrancy of the Inspired WORD of GOD in their original manuscripts.

The Doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

The Deity and Humanity of JESUS CHRIST.

The fallen state of man, is in need of Salvation.

The price for sin was paid for on the Cross by Jesus Christ.

The physical resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.

Christ will Come Again!

ETC., as I am sure there are other things we can all agree on.

Just in case you are thinking that is not so, because I have seen lots of people here on this site who do not believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ and deny the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity. Those denominations are not considered to be part of Mainline Christianity by Mainline Denominations, but are a psuedo-Christian Cult, such as the Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons. Mainline Christianity believes that the following verse is talking about the Deity of Jesus Christ.

1 John 2:23 (HCSB)
23 No one who denies the Son can have the Father; he who confesses the Son has the Father as well.
