Why do most think that Jesus has to rule from Jerusalem when he supposedly gets back to earth?

"All authority in heaven and on earth HAS been given to me." Matt 28:18 He spoke this verse after his resurrection. Seems like that verse shows that Jesus is ruling right NOW.

Was Jesus a false prophet? NO, NO, he was never wrong.

"But I tell you truly, that there are some standing here who will not TASTE death before they see the kingdom of God come." Matt 16:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27

Surely the kingdom of God had to come before those guys passed away. WHy did Jesus use "taste death" in that teaching?

20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Because Scripture says that He WILL rule from the new Jerusalem on Earth. The purpose of this is so that God will live amongst us, forever demolishing that separation.

The Scripture you are quoting is saying that all authority has been given over to Him by the Father, in that He is Lord of Lords. All things must answer to Him, as the final Judgement indicates.

Yes, He is ruling right now as Lord (Master).

Where did Jesus himself say that he would rule on earth as a physical man? Nowhere. Verses??

"But be on guard, I have told you ALL THINGS beforehand." Mark 13:23, John 4:25-26

Have you been paying attention? Have you been deceived by FALSE prophets?

You admit that Jesus is now ruling, so do you also think that he is King? I believe Jesus is king now.

I did not say that Jesus would rule as a PHYSICAL man. He, in His glorified body, along side God, will forevermore rule on Earth from His Kingdom located here on Earth.

"But be on guard, I have told you ALL THINGS beforehand." Mark 13:23, John 4:25-26

Why do you think God and the LAMB ruling here on Earth is a deception from false prophets?

You admit that Jesus is now ruling, so do you also think that he is King? I believe Jesus is king now.
He is also King of kings, there is no greater King then He. And when He has set His Kingdom here on Earth, there will be no other King.

Yes, He is now King, ruling over all things, as has been granted to Him from the Father.

He quoted Scripture and you said it was from some false prophet's book?

What is your intent here? Perhaps you just misread what that verse says?

Acts 1:11 states that Jesus will return in the same way that they saw him go into heaven. Are you denying the second coming of Christ or just the millenial reign of Christ? Both are scriptural but many have their own interpretation of what the scriptures teach.
I believe Jesus will return and the entire creation will see his reappearing, I do not believe in a hidden reappearing to rapture the church before the tribulation.
Jesus said: "Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then ALL the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Matthew 24:30
There will be no mistaking the return of Jesus Christ. I believe he will return and reign on the earth for 1,000 years along with all who have received him as their Lord and Savior. From the 20th chapter of Revelation, after the thousand year reign of Christ, the entire world dwelling with God and being ruled by him in peace. The Lord will release satan and once again people will reject God even after living under his peaceful rule for 1,000 years, truly showing the just and righteous judgement of God against those who love darkness and hate his light. No one will have any reason to reject God and his love for them, but they will reject him because they love themselves and hate God.
Just a thought.

How often do YOU think that God is foolish? A stupid question?

I know his quotes came from one of Paul's little books, what does that say about Paul?

When quoting something from the bible, one should provide the verses.

Funny thing about this is that the rest of the story is never quoted...

Mat 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

It was a vision.

We both agree, no rapture. Where did the rapture "teaching" come from? Paul

Rev is an allegory, there is no 1000 year reign, Jesus rules now, he has all authority. This 1000 years is just made up, why not a million or a trillion years. !000 years back then was probably a big number, we can think up much larger numbers today. Rev has many errors in it, put there on purpose.

After the transfiguraion, at the last supper: "for I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God dome." Luke 22:18

So did Jesus ever drink of the fruit of the vine (grapes)?? Check out what happened at the cross, did he drink?

Don't you trust what Jesus spoke so long ago, and still speaks to us today?

"But be on guard, I have told you ALL THINGS beforehand." Mark 13:23, see also John 4:25-26

Yes, I do.

But I also trust what God told us in the OT about his actual reign on earth. Do you trust God that what he said will happen?
