No Satan can't heal but like a gang bully he can call off his thugs after you pay for his "protection".

It's not biblical to say Satan can heal, but he is a really good liar.
Extremely astute. I really like this analogy. I thought about my comment later, and felt I could have also made a comparison that since hes the cause of all ailments directly or indirectly he can just "call it off" which is different than "true healing" by Jesus Grace, because Jesus REMOVES/PURGES the disease of sin, the devil just puts it in remission.

A highly overused term here that seldom seems to be understood. It means, "What grows and is glorified from your speech, actions, or life?"

In the case of a healing, if the fruit is that people are giving glory and credit to God about it, then you can be sure satan had nothing to do with it. He wouldn't accept that happening.

If, on the other hand, a Satanist feels he/she is healed, and gives all the credit and glory to satan, then he probably did give them that relief to keep them believing in his power for them.

Just my opinion.

If you have ever been near witch doctors in tribal situations, etc., you wouldn't say so simply that Satan cannot heal. There is no doubt that witch doctors have power that heals people (or kills people for that matter).

Now of course I agree that God is all-powerful and alone is the one who can give life and who alone is the Healer.
But when man sins and is controlled by sin, then God allows Satan access and power over people's lives. I wouldn't want to be healed by Satan because it gives him power and control over your life. I have heard of people who have had to rebuke "healings" when they were born again.

I would say that only God is the Healer, but that Satan can "heal" in situations where man by sin allows him to enter.

Yes, the bible states quite a few times that people dealt with sorcery and other such things to cure themselves. This pretty much confirms that people at least "think" it works, which is why the institution survives to this day, within and outside of modern society. It is also said in revelation "false signs and miracles." can be done by false prophets so as to deceive the elect.

Does he heal, or as Ariel said, simply has his boys back off if you are going along with him?
Hammer on the nail I think ...

but what will it profit a man to gain the world yet lose his soul?

The difference is MOTIVE. He'll come back sevenfold to destroy when he gets his way. The better question might be "Can the devil heal a true Christian?"

No. He cannot heal a true christian. That true christian would have to dedicate that part of life to satan to be healed by him and that person would go to hell..and or die A true Christian doesnt ask Satan for help in the first place.

Matt 12:45
Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its arrival, it finds the house vacant, swept clean and put in order. 45Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and dwell there; and the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”

This person was temporarily healed. So, why did they leave? I'm not saying this person was a saved, but it is interesting that they did leave and they did return sevenfold at a more opportune time.

The house was "swept and clean".

Thats easy. They left because in that moment they lost their legal rights an dgot kicked out. The '' rental contract '' was cancelled so they had to go. Yet if that person goes back to old they get that right back and take 7 others with em. ANy more questions?

I think the answer is pretty much established here. Almost every response has more or less been accurate. Don't think its good to give such a topic too much attention unless something serious merits it.

Revelation 13:3 NIV:

One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast.

Matthew 24:24 KJV:

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

no, i'm not contending just playing it out in my mind. I've heard alot of preaching regarding christians carrying demons around, they cannot seem to overcome the assault on the mind from powers and principalities, or at least they do for a season. Then there is the hiearchy of what makes us up. The mind- fallible, soul- damageable, and the spirit- perfected through Christ. Yet we struggle with the first two daily. This to me is sickness, not just cancer and diabetes...

Ofcourse he can, how on earth do you think people are healed in spiritualist churches, certainly NOT by God the Holy Spirit, but by evil Satanic power being channelled through spiritualists!
You mean pagan churches right? Or "New-age" God and the Holy-Spirit can and do heal those in the True Church.

I believe christians can have demonised areas in their life but cannot be posessed. Which is why people need to open their eyes and be viligant and sober and keep walking in the spirit

Satan can only do what God permits.. He struck Job with boils all over his body, so if Satan can harm, perhaps he can heal. I believe Satan (anti-Christ) will be allowed to deceive in the last days by duplicating and imitating the works of Christ; "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders" (2 Thessalonians 2:9). "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie" (2 Thessalonians 2:11). "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world" (Revelation 16:14). So Satan is capable of miracles, whether those miracles and signs come in the form of healing is yet to be seen. But if his objective is to pass himself off as Christ, I suspect his works may replicate those of Christ... jmo

Hes a dang copycat of course he can heal me. He has healed me and many other people in the past I know. Just you can bet there comes no blessing with it. He heals one part and for that something else happens.
That's not healing, that's just the demon moving to another part of the possesed person's body.

That's what witch doctors and false church do....move the demons around or make room for more or place demons in people who seek their help.

Without the Gospel and the Holy Spirit there is no true healing.

Demons don't have rights even if people sin, they have no rights it's a lie demons love to tell people. Don't be deceived.

Show me one Bible verse that says Satan has rights?

God chastens His own children, he doesn't give them over to be tortured and chased away from His loving arms by demons.

I have only ever heard ex-Satanist repeat the lie that demons have rights to sinners.

It's not true and God does not use such scare tactics to get people not to sin. His love and grace is enough.

Last sunday I heard a preacher say that Satan can heal human beings. Is that biblical?

Good question.

It is answered in Matt 24:24 = "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.''

Yes, the devil can heal people, Just look at the apparitions of the so-called Mary and how many people get deceived by the devil.
The same in the LDS, if you went in to a Mormon church, you would think it was a Pentecostal Church, [So people tell me].

God will only confirm His word. Mk 16: 20.

Even the very elect will be deceived.

Deceived - deliberately cause (someone) to believe something that is not true, especially for personal gain...

How many times have you seen preachers pray for somebody and they are "healed". We are being deceived on a daily basis by todays pastors and preachers and we need to pray to God for discernment.

Well either way it makes no difference, the enemy of our souls can do nothing unless allowed to do so, (just read Job) so either way if all things work together for our good (Rom. 8:28) it matters not what the enemy does or doesn't do,all our needs are met by the one who gives us life...
Who allows the devil to do bad things??,
If you mean by people, you are right, The devil has no power over Christians, accept what they allow him to do to them.
Like Job did through his fear and big mouth.
As for Rom 8: 28, We have to put it in it's right context, From v 26--28, It's only when we let the Holy Spirit intercede for us, that all things work for our good, [And they work for our GOOD, Not for our bad].

We cannot take v28 out of it's context and make it say bad things are working for our good.

You sound like a Calvinist.
I know the devil can mean things for our bad, And God can turn it around for our good, But Rom 8: 28 doesn't mean that.
