Evil spirits cause sickness and illness and believers in Christ have authority over them.

All sins but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God have been forgiven. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit of God is to deny the work of Jesus Christ. God's will for us is that we believe in the One He has sent. Continuing in a state of unbelief to death means one will not pass from death to life as those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ do. Unbelievers will pass from the first death, through the resurrection of all to judgement, into the second death. They will be remembered no more.

God loves us with an everlasting love. He sent His only begotten Son
to die on the cross for us.
God made Him Who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
I spent much time, (cause I'm slow, lol) writing a post for another thread, and when I went to submit it, it was closed! Aarrgghh!!! Lol.
Since most of the same folks are here, including the mod, can I post it here? It still applies, and is in agreement with magentas post here, and I hope it encourages all, but just delete if this is improper, I don't wish to violate :

"No person on this earth can fulfill the greatest commandment - but only One did - Jesus Christ our Lord." (Quote)

Did any of the Israelites and strangers who joined themselves to them keep covenant with God perfectly without ever committing a sin ? No. Did that mean those who did not walk away from God never received life and salvation ? No. They received salvation because they were faithful to Him.They did not abandon God but they cleaved to Him and repented of their mistakes. In the same way we are to cleave to Him. Not casting away He's instructions, which keeping is the expected end of repentance through faith. But clinging on to Him with all we got, showing God that He's faith He has put in us is not in vain. We cannot do and live how ever we want. Certain defiled people are not going to enter the kingdom of heaven if they give themselves over to the fleshly nature and live after it instead of the Spirit of God. Sin is the transgressions of the law of God, and it is by what is contained in the law of God that every ungodly sinful person is going to be judged by. Therefore it would be of great interest of the devil to make sure that as many people as possible defile God's commandments as much as possible.
A: You keep putting yourself under the old covenant. Why?

'Joined themselves to keep covenant with God?' Old.

Try the New Covenant : God made covenant with Himself on our behalf in Christ.
Then said He, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He takes away the first, (covenant), that He may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

B: They received salvation because they were faithful to Him?

Try the New Covenant : He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (God is the faithful one)
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

C: Clinging onto Him with all we've got?

Try the New Covenant : Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Much more then, being justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

this one thing.
I don't know what "this one thing" is yet.

Is there any one fact that we all agree on?
I think we can find common ground and build on it.
How about John3:16?
How about Genesis 1:1?
How about all have sinned and come short of the glory of God?
How about every Word of Scripture, every Word of God, every Word of Jesus, Jesus IS the Word of God.
How about Jesus is All in All.

That post from me contained in #43 is comparing God's grace in the old and the new covenant. In the new covenant I am talking about those who have already received Christ and are born again, that they should cleanse themselves from all filthiness of the flesh, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. We know sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4).

2 Corinthians 7:1

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Gnostics and Esoteric Christians use the name of Jesus as well. Should we not use the name of Jesus then?
From Chapter Three: The Masonic Doctrine of God

Chapter Three
The Masonic Doctrine of God

[HR][/HR]
The All-Inclusive Deity of Freemasonry
Freemasonry’s lodges are erected to God.... Symbolically, to "erect to God" means to construct something in honor, in worship, in reverence to and for him. Hardly is the initiate within the West Gate before he is impressed that Freemasonry worships God.[SUP](1)[/SUP]
Let no man enter any great or important undertaking without first evoking the aid of Deity.... The trust of a Mason is in God.[SUP](2)[/SUP]
Having established that Freemasonry is indeed a religion, it should not surprise us that "worship" is conducted within the walls of the Lodge. However, since we are told that "Freemasonry is not Christianity," the question before us is, Just who is worshipped as "God" by Masons?
According to Allen E. Roberts, "In his private devotions a Mason will pray to Jehovah, Mohammed, Allah, Jesus, or the deity of his choice."[SUP](3)[/SUP] In the lower degrees of the Blue Lodge, Freemasonry purposely attributes many ambiguous names to what it refers to as "God" to avoid offending any of its members. Among these names are "The Great Architect of the Universe," "The Governor of the World," "The Nameless One of a Thousand Names," etc. One Masonic periodical stated:
[The Mason] prays to the Grand Artificer or the Great Architect of the Universe. Under that title men of all faiths may find each his own Deity. Failure to mention any deity by name is not denial, but merely the practice of a gracious courtesy, so that each man for whom the prayer is offered can hear the name of his own deity in the all inclusive title of Great Architect.[SUP](4)[/SUP]

I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, nor am I going to argue with you. I have nothing against Magenta either. I'm just explaining a truth I've known for years.

The Lord's Prayer = Awesome!!

(Luke 11:1-4)

Matthew 6:5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11Give us this day our daily bread.12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Hmmm?

Proverbs 28:9He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

There is not a sin in our lives which we are not able to overcome by the Power of Jesus Christ.

Mark 8:33

34And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Having a heart of unforgiveness causes God to release tormentors on us.
I disagree.

I don't think God punishes us, or torments us.

I think we will receive punisment as a natural result of not walking in the light.

Matthew 18:33

Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

this is very interesting.
let's find something we all agree on, a universal truth.

what about : we all agree that there is an objective truth that is independent of our subjective perceptions

It seems to me that in order for everybody to agree, we need to go beyond subjective opinions and beliefs, and stick to evidence based objective facts.
