Jeff_56, in the end times there will be the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet. The Anti-Christ we cannot know yet but we can know who the False Prophet will be. He will be a Priest who will lead the people to follow the Anti-Christ. Which Church today has the power and resources the False Prophet needs? The Catholic Church!

Everything is pointing to the Pope in the Catholic Church that will be the False Prophet.

Because not all Christians have Protestant mindsets.

By saying that Catholics are heretics outright, Robocop has set the tone for the thread.

It was a mistake for him not to lock this thread as soon as he opened it, but it's never too late.
No, Robo has set the tone for this whole site. Don't think he will close any thread to humour non-christians.
You don't like this site? Well, it's never too late leave.

So if you discard the bible then anything goes right? How can you claim to be Christian and deny the bible as Gods word once and for all delivered to the saints? Jesus confirmed the OT as Gods word. Jesus said that Gods word would never change nor pass away.

Traditions of men verses the word of God. No contest.

I am not discarding the Bible. I am simply not submitting to Sola Scriptura, which has no biblical or historical foundation.

Consider this:

If God did not purpose the "full and complete" Word -- the "all of which" that God wanted us to know - to be written down for us --- why is any of it written down? Why not have 100% of the 'Word' carried down through oral "tradition"...???

I believe that -- all that was originally passed on verbally -- that was significant and important for us to know -- God had it written down. I believe that it is complete and sufficient.

We Catholics have different mindsets than you protestants do. That does not make us non-Christians. As SanitoSabito said years ago, modern-day protestants have narrowed the term 'Christian' to include only protestants.

That's your definition; this site uses a different definition.

I am not discarding the Bible. I am simply not submitting to IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, which has no biblical foundation.

There is no evidence for IMMACULATE CONCEPTION. In fact the Holy Spirit says Mary was a sinner! The problem with you Catholics is you hate the Word of God and follow Mary was your God. This is why you teach heresy.

Romans 3:9-12
[SUP]9 [/SUP] What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin,
[SUP]10 [/SUP] as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;
[SUP]11 [/SUP] no one understands; no one seeks for God.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Romans 3:23
[SUP]23 [/SUP] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Hebrews 4:15
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION is not in the Bible but yet you Catholics spit in God's eye calling Him a liar to teach Mary was sinless!

God and His word are not separable. You are in essence not submitting to God. God honors His word but God does not honor the words of men.

You have in a practical way said no to God and have created you own way which leads not to eternal life but to destruction.

Catholics or protestants makes no difference when you fail to submit to Gods word you fail. Gods way is the narrow way. The broad way leads to destruction.

Christians are only those who are trusting the blood of Christ alone to atone for their sins and Gods grace to save them for eternity. All else is a false gospel and is not the gospel that leads to eternal life.

God said of Israel with their lips these people do serve Me but their heart is far from Me.

The "prob" is that they know of God but they do not know God. Being saved and being a genuine Christian requires more than a passing knowledge of God. It requires a personal and intimate knowledge of God and God having an intimate knowledge of us.

All men are sinners and estranged from God because of sin. No man can save himself and can only be saved by grace through faith nothing of himself. This is counter to what the catholic church teaches. It is what Jesus taught.

The RCC itself is a Heresy, the 10 horns prophesied in Revelation. And the pope is the (small a) antichrist.

Prayfully, Catholics will repent and find Jesus while they have time.

Re: Catholic Heresy (for the record) I like your tone.

I like your thinking and your tone. As a result I've joined.I am a protestant, however I have recently been shocked to discover claims that John Calvin approved of executions (beheading, burning, hanging and torture) of his opponents.
I have always been a little bit wary of Calvinism as it's followers seem to push God's love into the background. In fact one I spoke to cannot accept that God's love (for all men) is the central issue of the gospel and the core of God's character. I do believe that God is in control of the universe and of all history. So I do believe in predestination and salvation by faith alone. I also believe in the eternal judgment of those who are outside of his salvation. Either because of their sins under the law of Love or because they have had the opportunity of forgiveness in Jesus and turned him away. But paradoxical as it might be by some logics I do believe that GOD IS LOVE in the fullest sense.

Brother,
Let put our focus in Jesus alone. Human is fallible, human make mistake. Our savior is Jesus Christ, not Luther or Calvin.

They are human and all their teaching is subject to examined whether inline with the bible or not.

Our salvation is the most important in our life. It's a matter of eternity.

Let say we make mistake to choose major, and we doesn't have a job after graduate. We suffer for the rest of our life being a poor. And the rest of our life, may 40 or 80 years left.

If we miss our salvation, will be billions years.

We better make serious research who is the real Jesus, who is the real savior.

How does one obtain forgiveness of their sins? Why is it necessary? One must be more than just religious to enter into eternal life with Christ.

Matthew 7:21-23
[SUP]21 [/SUP] “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Lumberjack this is what notuptome is talking about. Just because a Catholics SAYS they are praying to God does not mean they are following God as their Lord. Going to Church means nothing if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and do not do the Will of the Father.

In other words, just because you claim to be a Christian does not mean you are a True Christian! The Holy Spirit in these verses says not everybody who claims to be a Christian is a True Christian. There are many Tares in the Church today. Tares are those who do not do the Will of the Father and cannot enter into Heaven. I personally know many Catholics who are Tares because they follow and Worship Mary as their God.

Romans 16:17-18
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

Lumberjack, we are to turn away from the Catholics who teachings are contrary to the teachings from the Holy Spirit! Just because you think you are a Christian means nothing to God.

Lumberjack, repent, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! Reject Mary! Toss her aside and follow God only! For Mary can do nothing for you! Only God can give all you want and need. Mary can do nothing because she is powerless and has no powers like God has!
