34So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, 35but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
w00t w00t double-like!

Those verses were the first thing I thought of when I first saw the thread, but since I was late to the party, I figured someone else had posted them before me.

This entire thread just needs to go, but who cares what color Jesus was? The fact is he was born in the middle east, he looked like everyone else around, skin color is primarily a factor of enviornent or the enviorment your ancestors came from, people from sunny hot enviorments will have darker skin, that's protection from the sun, big deal, it has no bearing on the person, Im grateful every day that he came, that's all that matters

I think we do have an idea!! well, no, we are not told, but there are a few clues. There was much less mobility in society then (in Jesus day) It is so interesting that in all the movies...well, a lot of them! Jesus is depicted as white and quite handsome....

But actually, Jesus is apparently of quite 'ordinary' (there is a Scripture to support me in this but I cannot pull it up:) and...Jesus would not have been a 'white' a 'caucasian'...he was middle Eastern. He lived in the middle East. Just a thought...for my half pennyworth . When i 'picture' my Lord, he is a man from the Middle east....not white. In fact it can be offensive, that i would imagine my Lord as an 'Arab'.....we do tend to have such terribly bias. It makes me think when i visit catholic churches in Europe and see Christ hanging on the cross...so sad that one must repeatedly stand beneath such defeat that is TRUTH but also all such depicted Christs are 'alabaster ' pale of skin and most definitely 'caucasian, covered modestly & long haired'. Interesting!! <><
Not to offend, but I find your view being just as biased as those you question. The peoples in the region in the days of Christ not seldom looked quite different from what the peoples living there today do, due to admixture and migrations. Whiteness is not only a matter of skin color or long-headedness. Caucasians are not limited to european soil. There where, and are, white people also in the middle east and northern africa. However, I agree with those who say that it really doesn't matter about Christ's features. But one still needs to be careful about this issue. It's about an attitude to truth.

Who are you to judge others? I am not very "bible smart" but I do know that judging others is not the way to " keep us from burning and being treated the way we treated others" who are you to sit here and write all this telling people that they need to listen to YOU or spend their time burning in hell? YOU are NOT JESUS. I will pray for you "hugs" no one is better than yourself or worse than yourself.
