I point to heresies, using the bible. If folks are practicing certain beliefs that are clearly forbidden in the word, does that mean those folks are evil? I won't go that far. They operate in ignorance. But if they refuse the biblical corrections, does THAT make them evil? You answer it. Reformers down through the centuries have never ever been well received. Does that make me a big shot? Absolutely not. It just makes me concerned for the body of Christ and Christ's honor and reputation that is MUD in the eyes of the world.
Yet, I stated that you make some good points. Here is the problem I have with your post.
You have stated that you have been in 35 or more churches and have heard of many others that are not in agreement with the Scripture, and I can accept that they may be as wrong as you say. I also know churches and pastors that are wrong.
But there are thousands and thousands of churches that you know nothing about. There are also thousands and thousands of pastors that you know nothing about. But you then condemn those churches and pastors as being as wicked as those 35 you have knowledge of. You lose all creditability when you do that.
I am the pastor of a small Missionary Baptist Church in Arkansas. You know nothing about me or the church that I pastor.
You have no right to say anything positive or negative about me or the church I pastor.
I pray that you will see the errror of your ways and be more positive toward the Lord's churches.
