i am far from perfect which would would be all the more reason to try and obey the law. without law one is lawless and in that chaotic state would be
You can try to obey it, But you can't. Would it not be better to use Jesus example? The law was given for a purpose. if the purpose has been fulfilled. What good is it for you?
it makes no sense it all that we need Jesus yet do not need His teachings. the Father referred to His son as a great teacher, how can we accept the teacher and not accept the teachings?
Then accept his teachings.

1. The law of love fulfills the law of Moses (it did what the law of Moses could not do. Helps us to obey God, and do his will, which is to serve others)
2. He came to fulfill it, Allow him to fulfill it in you.

anything else is just religion and and a futil attempt to try to please God.

post 203 i pointed out Jesus referring people to the law. your saying accept his teachings but to reject anytime Jesus speaks about the law.

you can not obey the Lord by disobeying His laws. it makes no sense at all.

if it was easy everyone would be doing it. i agree it can be tough but im not gonna pick and chose and make up my own philosophies just to make my spiritual life easy and convenient, i think our Lord deserves a better effort.

But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees
rose up and said,
“It is necessary
to circumcise them
and to order them to keep the law of Moses.”

(Acts 15:5)

why was this written for us?

Are you perfect?

If not, You have failed to live up to Gods standard.

And your feeble attempt to appease God by obeying his law which can not be obeyed is useless.

Do you want to know how to obey God. Or try to do it the way the jews, and most religious people have been doing it for thousands of years and failed.

Its up to you.

Jesus said love the lord your god and your neighbor (all people) as yourself. in this contains (fulfills) all the law

DO you want to do it your way by following rules and regulations (legalism) which will never make you obedient, or do you want to do it Gods way?

Again, it is up to you.

so our Lord made these commandments, laws for us to disobey, why would He do this?

this is a huge issue in todays world and part of our fall, we should not concern ourselves with how Jews/Catholics/Nazarenes and all the rest and how they do it. our concern should be me and how do i serve, not, am i doing it the way everyone else does.

Jesus said love the lord your god and your neighbor (all people) as yourself
and you forgot a key part of this, "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments"

He did not say those 2, only those 2 and not another thing but these 2 commandments.

Jesus is our example, did He obey the law? are we up there with Jesus, maybe not but we should learn from His example which means walking in His footsteps.

Only Christ did it perfectly.

When I do it. I am blessed. Everytime I fail to do it. I suffer.

I asked this question because of what you previously posted:

Jesus said love the lord your god and your neighbor (all people) as yourself
Where did you get this quote, maybe Luke 10:25 - 28?

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.“You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

i have read that to but no where does Jesus say the law is not meant for you to follow.

how do we know Jesus didnt mean, with the Father, following the law is possible? maybe its both, i dont have the answers, im just posting things i learn.
Jesus spent a lot of time teaching from the law, quoting from the law and all the rest of it. the law was a big part of His teaching. and with that being said i believe the law is important for me to follow and live my life by. i fail at it everyday but i still hold it in high regard. for me to think the law is not meant for me would be no different than thinking all Jesus taught was not meant for me.
Reread Romans chapters one thru three. Paul clearly lays out that no man has kept the law be he Jew or Gentile.
And if you think the Christian can keep it reread Romans 7.

You would agree in rom 7:7-11 Paul must be speaking of when he was a Pharisee wouldn't you?

AMEN TO THAT....meaning...no law keeping will facillitate, earn, keep salvation..any who believe it does...is trusting self...and denying the blood, faith, sacrifice, justification, sanctification , work of, salvation of, redemption of Jesus.....
