ps...going back up the thread and reading it, you can see the disagreements and insults

I too had the question you have for many years but it has been resolved

Jesus is Lord and at His Name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess His Lordship

Jesus has defeated the devil once and for all...but we have our part to do here on earth because the devil is not going to leave Christians alone...the battle is a spiritual one

Well anyway, there is help for the captive...the first thing is to know the scriptures because the Holy Spirit does not operate outside of those, He does not force people or insult people and we can only deal with unclean spirits through the
victory Jesus has already won

Dealing with demons is a TRUTH encounter not a power encounter

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its Both.. even the devil knows Truth. he spits it out yet with a twist........... the Paraclete, is stronger than any devilish power.. indeed... -------> for the Kingdom of God is not in meat or drink... but in POWER...

there are some today.. as it was in Jesus's day who will call that Power the work of the Devil.. that is Spirit Blasphemy.. will never be forgiven...

Dunamis- Power of God- Anointed with Power... darkness doesnt expose darkness... LIGHT exposes darkness, posing as 'light'... Light has come into darkenss, but the Darkness comprehendeth it not... indeed!

For example as a younger Christian, I had a chance to visit some WOF services, in one of them, the pastor comes up and prays with me, then tries to cast demons of poverty out of me.. lolz.. I wasnt dressed in that fancy image attire, suits , Rolex's , shined shoes... I had on some Sweatpants, tennis shoes and a nice shirt.. lolz... there is a case of Religion. trying to cast out something that was not there.. they called the Holy Spirit a devil or demon, because I didnt 'match' their attire image as a christian.. you see people.. God looks on the heart. .not the outer appearance... but just as the Jews did in Jesus's day. they had an image or idea of what 'someone ' should look like that is of God... this group, much like the Pharisees of Jesus day.. doing the deeds of their father, and that is not the Father in Heaven....

I have battled this question for years and was wondering what people. Here thought. Can a Christian have actual demons inside them?
Any Christian that's get sick has a demon according to there bible.

Sickness is a form of possession. Or symptoms
You know mute, deaf, seizures etc,

What's really funny is then Christians take medicine or go to the pharmaceuticals.
Pharma which come from the Greek work pharmakos whichs means sorcery/ witchcraft ...

Truth does not require believers

well I have seen demons act up and out of people....but for Christians, who do have the Holy Spirit inside of them...it is a truth encounter

The Bible does record demons manifesting in people and throwing people about and then there is the Gadarene man...so yes, the devil is quite ugly once he is revealed

But in the case of Christians, we have our position IN Christ and we have the victory in His final and complete work

hope that clairifies...thanks

oh baloney

the Bible says no such thing

see, that is the problem when dealing with this subject....people make up their own doctrines and then want to apply them to everyone else

All sickness is not caused by demons...when sin entered the world, so did sickness, disease...weeds...and any manner of anything God would not call good

Truth does not require believers
ALL truth comes from the Father above ... Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17

What's really funny is then Christians take medicine or go to the pharmaceuticals.

why are you taunting? you did it in the other thread as well

I suppose if you get hit on the head and require stitches you will turn them down?

Christians can most certainly be harrassed by demons
Very well put, and, as you go on to say, but not possessed. A Christian can be misled into sin that leads to death, even. We must live in the whole armor of God of Ephesians 6, because,

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Just incidental, that verse being of form that can be perceived as 666 makes you wonder if some verse numbers are inspired.

Christian, check that motivation of the heart, that "voice in the head" or voice from the pulpit against Bible truth, before allowing it to get into shoe leather.

hmmm...perhaps, eh?

the west has sadly dismissed such things as mysticism and fokelore and 'it happened back then but not now' etc

the other prob is how many Christians really do study and show themselves to be approved?

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. II Tim 2:15

I read something interesting the other day about how so many receive bits and pieces of the Bible on a Sunday morning and that is all they get...nothing the rest of the week

And even that is not always sound or solid

Christians (not meaning every one of course) are vulernable and very naive IMO..God knows I certainly used to be

It surely is a long and bumpy road, to get to a place where you have some notion of the whole truth. If I'd listened to the likes of some of these mega church pastors, I don't know where I'd be, but it wouldn't be good. Then again, all important, the Holy Spirit is real, He does lead into truth, give you eyes to see. But, yes, these pastors who take one Bible verse, then bloviate for a half hour from the encyclopedia of philosophy, are a total waste. A good pastor pulls the Bible together, precept upon precept from the word of God, never a good Bible teacher I've heard who doesn't include a lot of harmonious scripture in a sermon.

I do not taunt I only provide truth.

I think people need to look up the definition of possession and and see what sickness does. Then maybe you will find unity on the subject matter.

Anything you do not want in the body is possession.

Truth requires no believers.

Please Provide scripture that specifically says this, tbh this doesn't sound scriptural it sounds like a claim from your own belief

Demons cannot possess or opress without having a a legal spiritual ground. Also there is a difference between possession, and oppression. For a demon to posses someone the magnitude of the legal spiritual ground would have to come from something as powerful as a satanic ritual of some sort. Opression is along the lines of temptation. God tests everyone, look at Job. The devil didn't just attack Job's life, God gave the devil permission to do so to test Job's obedience and faith. God can test anyone, at anytime and give that permission for a test on a believer. For example say someone had a terrible lust or stealing issue, and they've repented and turned from that. God can test that person and a demon can get permission to test (opress) that person to fall back into it that form of sin. Now if the person falls and repents repeatedly, that person is just giving the opression more and more legal ground for that opression.

So Paul and Timothy were both possessed with demons?

Really?
Really?

As far as I know, except for a few martyrs, EVERY CHRISTIAN THAT HAS EVER LIVED has eventually gotten sick and died. (You don't die because you're healthy.)
So every Christian who has ever lived has been possessed with demons?

Really?

What Jesus ever sick?

I read no where Paul was ever sick. And plz don't say the thorn in his flesh .

You would have to define what a Christian is. I never met one according to what Jesus taught
