Not going back may be wise it may turn into a thread that may trigger. I have posted some verses though I was spending time with my kids. Like I've said I am going through a divorce and I value my time with them.
while I don't ascribe to all you state and I am actually not sure of all you believe, I will state it was getting crowded in that other thread and you prob know what I mean...it's not always alters at least I don't think so

All this stuff about demons and evil spirits and assorted spooks and possessions and exorcisms and such ....

makes me wonder if I've been transported back to Salem 1692.

The problem with those times is the supernatural was pushed underground both the good and the bad out of fear of being hung. God is the same as He was when Christ walked the earth. He is God and just as powerful.

True Ember, belief in such nonsense goes well back to primitive humanity.
Even in the Australian aborigine's 40,000-year-old culture, similar mythical entities exist.

Fortunately, educated, intelligent adults in the 21st Century know better ...........

Chronological Snobbery anyone? Who says it was 40,000 years - that sounds part of mythical evolution tales right there

Nahhhh, they thought there was a spirit-world.

They also thought that the sun was formed when an ancient ancestor hurled an emu egg into the sky
and the crow is black because it had a fight with a hawk and rolled around in a camp fire.

All primitive humans developed myths and legends to explain their existence and their environment.
Even the ancient Hebrews.

Australian Aboriginal history timeline - Creative Spirits

  • Mitochondrial DNA puts the origin of Homo Sapiens much further back and indicates that the Australian Aborigines arose 400,000 years ago from two distinct lineages, far earlier than any other racial group.
  • Analysis of pollen and charcoal giving a date of 120,000 BP suggests that people were using fire to clear land in the Lake George basin in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, about 30 kms north-east of Canberra.
  • 68,000 Current estimates for the arrival of Aboriginal people in Australia
  • 60,000 Age of Lake Mungo 3 human remains

  • Indigenous Australia Timeline - Pre-Contact - Australian Museum

.... the most commonly accepted age of initial human occupation is 40 000 years ....
Roberts and others argue for initial colonisation at 56 000 +/- 4 000 years, based on optical dates for two north Australian sites (Nauwalabila and Malakunanja).
In south-east Australia, recent datings of the Lake Mungo 3 human remains arrived at an age of about 60 000 years using three different dating methods .
.... several archaeologists and geomorphologists insisting it is more likely to be 43 000 years old.
