Please forgive me folks...I have no desire to interrupt this thread further! I have only read the title...but if I may say one thing from my heart. In all honesty the devil shall never possess me...for if he tried it would be rather crowded inside with the Holy Spirit and all. Now if you disagree that is your right I am not posting again. But I am stating that I have no fear of evil...because hurt my flesh...yes evil things surely can. But my soul...is in the light of Jesus...and I never shall be afraid. That's all I know. Thank you..God bless you all. Pardon my opinion and interruption. Good day, and good bye!

that makes my head hurt...after walking on water, do you think we could try feeding thousands with a fish and some bread?

sigh
Jesus did not command us to walk on water but he did command us to cast out demons

microscoped,

Whether or not you believe that the Holy Spirit indwells believers from the time of Spiritual rebirth; most of us, on the forum, do, based on: Jn 14:16-20

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
KJV

In any case

Isa 46:13

13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
KJV

Isa 48:10-12
10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
KJV

Those in whom He has placed His Salvation, God calls His Glory; and God will not share His glory (we who are saved) with another

The problem is some what complex based on a few incidents
1. A group where baptised into the baptism of John the Baptist but not yet the holy spirit. Acts.
2. Paul talked about handing a believer over to satan to be tormented. This would imply the Holy Spirit would
not be present but the believer could still be saved.
3. Christians have often testified of holy spirit encounters, refreshing at different points in their life.
This would suggest though being born again is thought of a single point in time and does the Holy Spirit equally
appear at that point. If you follow faith is a gift of God, then before the faith comes, the Holy Spirit is present.

If one holds or experiences a believer of some sort can be possessed, either they are not born again or they are not filled with the spirit or both. The problem is one is trying to build theology on experience, but practically, it makes sense to say a spirit filled christian will not be possessed. Whether a believer in christianity has the holy spirit because of some kind of faith is questionable, because many appear to be christians, but on closer inspection they do not have faith in the normal relationship sense of conviction of sin, repentance and faith in Christs redeeming work. So it would be very possible that notional
christians could be possessed, and many could be self deceived as to their spiritual state.

You would need to say, as far as I understand it, those who have walked with the Lord in spiritual insight, whether they talk about baptism of the Spirit or not, do not appear to have possession problems.

I do have problems though with heretics who seem to go after concepts that twist the bible, but I do not think this is demonic in a clear sense, but it may align them with demonic powers.

What I think matters more is acknowledging the Lord is Soveriegn and no spirit can do anything without His permission.

Where exactly does it say that when you get saved the Holy Spirit comes in. He comes in fully when you ate baptized in the Holy Spirit. I don't get your john 20 reference to receiving the Holy Spirit.
John 20.19-23:
[SUP]19 [/SUP]So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “[SUP][b][/SUP]Peace be with you.” [SUP]20 [/SUP]And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. [SUP]21 [/SUP]So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” [SUP]22 [/SUP]And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. [SUP]23 [/SUP]If you forgive the sins of any, their sins [SUP][c][/SUP]have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”

Acts1.8:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

I never said exorcisms were my only ministry. Never once. A deliverance minister does more than that. Like I have said my main ministry was to women who had been sexually abused. Many of whom did in fact have demons from this but the biggest part was ministering healing to there broken hearts
Oh bother  now you are changing your story, you were not a deliverance minister, you just did exorcisms and now are out of season. Sounds like to me you are back pedaling, one thing is for sure, you do not know God's word.

So in this scripture the Holy Spirit only came in when Christ breathed into them

Before you continue in your tirade please answer the following. This will determine to me if this conversation is worth keeping. Do you know how to handle a 60 year old woman who grew up in church. Went to church every time the doors were opened loves Jesus and has asked him into her heart, but at home her father and uncle were raping her? she went to a catholic school that was into witchcraft and was forced at the age of nine to sacrifice her best friend and at the age of eleven brought home two children to play knowing not to and the father killed them and blamed her? This is an actual case I dealt with years ago. If you do not know where to start in the healing and the demons that are more than likely present which you do not. And don't act like maybe you do and I don't know. If you can not deal with this case successfully without doing harm don't you think you could use some deliverance training yourself?
I am not going to play your "what would you" do games.

Yes I am out of season but as any minister knows you are never not called. Just waiting for the position God has for you. Reread what I put. I was in the deliverance ministry that included exorcisms. This thread is not profitable for no one. Unless there is good reason and the good reason is obtained from reading all of my posts and in context and there are questions I am passing on. Thank you.

Let's be clear What my definition of a deliverance minister is as opposed to an exorcist. An exorcist Is one who casts out demons. A deliverance minister is one who ministers healing to the broken hearted and casts out demons. Deliverance ministers deal with those Who have deep issues that need prayed through and fasted over before the exorcism can take place. Some cases can take months Before they are ready for an exorcism Jesus is a healer first in these cases.
Good grief how much of the Bible are you going to throw out here!?!?

agree...I'm not sure what kind of hairs are being split by micro, but it seems to be increasing the more questions are asked

I don't care for what you did in the other thread microscoped....you left a door wide open for demonic activity and I'm not going back there

you did not post scriptures either....not the way to go

I don't agree with what you are doing...I basically agree with what Joshua has posted

Please be very careful about criticizing scripture in public like this, because by doing so you can render yourself a false teacher.
The authorized King james bible was translated by 47 godly men each one of them checked the others work. One man could read the old testament at age five and write it at age six!. Another studied Greek sixteen hours a day and had the largest Greek library in the world. These men were supernaturally gifted and chosen to undertake this job and bring the word of GOD to the modern world and nothing GOD wrote in there is a mistake.
One of Satan's sneaky little weapons he uses against Christians is this increasing babel of phony bible translations. There is an old adage that a man with a watch will always know the time but a man with two watches will never know the time.
I can never understand why Christians substitute the KJV for these incomplete and false interpretations of GODS word that are New age bible versions. How on earth can one have faith in Christ if they are continually doubting his word?.

Not going back may be wise it may turn into a thread that may trigger. I have posted some verses though I was spending time with my kids. Like I've said I am going through a divorce and I value my time with them.

I am not playing games either and my leaving this thread was not out of convenience but out of frustration I asked a simple question that question is since you do not know how to deal with this case which is very real don't you think that training in the field could benefit you or for that matter someone else?
