I love too many people on this thread to want to take sides, but, I can't resist posting some appropriately serious scripture here.....
John8:43~~~

You're........

Of your father...

the devil.........

and the lusts.......

of your father...

you'll do........

( Sung to the tune of
'YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE' )

See how nice??? ;)

I was really thinking about you. Here's this Man of God spending great amounts of time learning how to play the electric guitar at your skill level and then using that skill to play it for God, only to be dismissed as not "Bible-believing." Feels a bit like the response that Dylan got when he went electric. "You're not Dylan anymore."

Say what? The times they are a changin'!

I wonder if people flipped out when musicians dared to change from David's harp to that new-fangled instrument -- the lyre!

How dare them young whippersnappers! Next thing you know they're drop the tunic for pants! Everyone knows real men don't wear pants!!!
HEY!!! HEY!!! HEY!!!
YOU KNOW I WEAR PANTS, LYNN...
(...on my head)

Hahahaha Thanks for the laugh!!!! Kinda breaks the monotony of what the haters bring ya know?
I know that wasn't meant for me,
but I'll pretend that it was. :D Yer welcome! ;)

I haven't read all the posts but i would hope you are not confusing 'slandering' with 'exposing'. Ephesians 4:11

I present scripture all day long that contrasts churchianity with the first century ecclesia and im accused of slander......all day long.

Exposing wood, hay, and stubble, hirelings, false teachers, and wolves. Just ignoring the lot and trying to build up the body of Christ thereon is ludicrous, a futile exercise that will only perpetuate disaster and the impotence of the dying body of Christ!

God has always sent to the body, reformers. Why do you suppose? He's given us His logos/written word to correct with. 2Tim4:2. Again. Why do you suppose?
Exposing is pulling back the curtain, examining what's there, and providing proof for what you're asserting.

I don't see that happening here or for many of your threads, frankly.

Sweeping generalizations and accusations without examples or proof are thrown up the flag pole to see if anyone will salute.

That's a pretty darn accurate description of slander.

And Yet, we don't live in the first century. And guess what else? The infant ecclesia in the first century got some stuff wrong - hence the Epistles.

We dont live in the first century so we scrap a ton of scripture? Oh the wolves have got you. Scrap also the apostasy warnings. You betcha! I'll get right on that.

Oh and the proof is in the churches. Ill not provide videos of every church in the world. I dont have that much time left on earth. How silly can you be?

Hey Yet. I am on board with most of your message. It took me a long time to find a local assembly that did it close to right(not one is perfect)

How have you grown as a believer? How have you advanced in the Christian way of life? What new truths have you discovered about Christ as you FOCUS on the failures of others. Good grief brother, I will teach you when we get to the eternal state!

Your above post is messing with an advanced, spiritually mature believer.

She ain't scrapping the apostasy warnings. It's just that maybe some have advanced enough that she take's it for what it is and CARRY'S on in the Life that Christ intended for us. And it ain't to grow in the knowledge of the sins and failures of others!

So it's your assertion that every church on earth is in apostasy?

You don't have much faith in God's abilities to raise up good local fellowships that preach the Gospel and love others well, do you.

Kinda sad, actually.

AMEN AND AMEN. Some folks believe that the gates of hell have prevailed. And are trying to convince us of it, And they are believers! Apostasy on a very subtle level.

Love is stroking the false narratives? Naw! Love shows up to bring truth even when it doesnt feel so good. Iron sharpens iron.

Like I said, I am adding to this post. That means I am adding OP with examples of mega wolves. Comprende'?

Well, it seems MsSuzanna has been banned.

I guess we'll never know what was in her box of ammo.

That's probably a good thing.

Grace and peace as you go, MsSuzanna. Hope you find some peace and joy along the way.

Yet --- I don't think she meant that the Epistles were written in error; rather, that the Epistles were written as a corrective measure because of the error of the "infant ecclesia"... ;) i.e. - hence the Epistles -- which illustrate just how much they fell into error...

:)

This is rather sad. I am a fairly new Christian, but I do read my Whole Bible. I don't get this. (Religion) Bashing going on. Instead of spreading rumors, or listening to rumors, or believing everything I see on the net. I go see for myself. The true is suppose to be spoken. True: it is suppose to be ONE church under Christ. not a zillion religions claiming they are the only right ones. Truth: not one of them is perfect or right in all things. ( Christian LOVE, I am beginning to wonder what that is)
