Not my name, but oh well ...

David, that is perhaps the most self-serving, self-righteous post I've read recently.

You quite obviously are exactly as I say -- self-anointed spokesman for God, closer to Him and with better understand of Him and His word than anyone else. I find there is little use in attempting to hold a discussion with such a person.

I have nothing more to say to you. Good day, and God bless.
[/QUOTE/ Ok. I think you find little use in my quoting you in your falsehoods!!!!!! I can't even say good morning without your garbage spawn thrown out What are you soooo miserable about?? I see you can't even address the lies you said. De nile not, just a river in Egypt. I at your approval, will just turn you over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so maybe you will be saved David

Wow. Grow up! That's completely inappropriate.[/QUOTE/ I couldn't even say good morning without his garbage,The he use my font and color to make it appear as if I was saying it. I had no bad intention when I started and little at the end.He was off the wall in his "reading behind my words" That was not the Spirit of God I was talking to and found no reason to say it was. I prayed for him and myself and that is all I can do. I quoted him in his inconsistencies. If you have seen me here you know I usually don't respond in that way,at least I think so. That was initially my point that we all can see things a little different and still be OK. But I feel he went over the line by saying that behind my words was this whole different meaning . I was serious with you and meant every word to my understanding. Thanks for listening! David

Be careful not to crush the Spirit of the weaker brother, for by doing so your own heart may turn to crushing the Spirit of the stronger brother without recognizing it.....by even labelling it Godly.

Good advice, brother, but we also need to see that he thought he had the authority to turn Vigilant Warrior over to Satan. That's the height of arrogance and a scary thing to even propose.

Maybe God can determine a 24 hour period without the sun, and maybe He gave us the sun so we know when those periods start and finish.

how right you are and it seems not without good reason as clearly seen in the case of pagans and evolutionists who think the sun is the light of the world and needs to bee worshipped as the creator and sustainer of life - Einstein it seems stated that he did not really know what light was or where it came from and that he would spend the rest of his life trying to find out but it seems he never really did - if only he had lived a little longer and come on this and other forums he would have been boldly told - of course as Christians we know that God is light and Jesus Christ is the light of our world - the light was created before the sun was and will be after the sun is no more as at APOC/REV - twinc

Ugh. Dr. Hugh Ross is terribly inconsistent. He doesn't know what he believes.
Ross (et al) presents the best harmonization of scripture and an old earth that I have come across.

Isn't a reference to the sun part of the definition of a 24 hour period? It seems without the sun, "24 hours" is a meaningless concept. It's definitional to say that 24 hours is the time it takes earth to make one revolution around the sun.

I would think if your worldview requires a denial of the definition of a 24 hour period, then you've probably gotten something wrong in your worldview.
Actually 24 hours is the time it takes any spot on earth to make a complete rotation on the earth's axis of rotation.

It takes a whole year to orbit the sun.
