My husband has an x box and he loves playing that thing.

I am married to an unbeliever, but I will admit I do love the peace and quiet I get in the livingroom (to study without any distraction from the TV) while he is occupied in the other room on that thing.

He could care less what anyone else says about his toy though. He is going to continue to play with his x box whether I tell him it could be harboring a potential demon attack in it,

He would think thats insane. And especially after playing on that thing for almost 20 years without any such an incident, he could never believe there are any such dangers since he has never seen or experienced them.

I'm thankful to God that I dont have any authority to tell husband what toys he can or cannot play with, especially if I had to do it with a straight face, because I just wouldnt be up to the task.
The Bible gives instruction for husbands and wives who are not believers. I'm sure you are aware of these scriptures and may even find them encouraging. I would like to encourage you in faith regarding your husband. You may already be aware of this but sometimes a word of encouragement in season really helps. You can claim your husband's salvation by faith and watch God save him. All God's promises are yes and amen in Him. 2 Corinthians 1:20 Our faith can not rise above what God has given us in His word. His promises are for us to partake of Him. 2 Peter 1:4. Faith comes by hearing God's word. When we read God's promises regarding situations in our lives, faith comes and as we act on it, we see God's word fulfilled. On the basis of theses promises shown in the scriptures you can claim your husbands salvation. John 4:53, Luke 19:9, Acts 16:31. Matthew 21:22, Mark 11:24. Often times (some exceptions) God does not use the love one who is praying for the unbeliever to win him or her. It's often times best for the believer to stand in faith, stay out of God's way not attempting to help God out. Your faith is what God asks. It's often times a mistake for a husband or wife to leave subtle hints like an open bible, a tract or music or inviting the pastor over for dinner ect. As the spouse can see through it and get annoyed. It's best to stay out of God's way in these areas just standing on faith and obeying His voice and leading if God calls to action.

Yeah, I stay out of my husbands way, thats not a problem for me. Only sometimes when he wants to do something (I think is bad and try to spare the other person) I might say "let me handle it" (and he typically okays it). However if I dont succeed in handling a thing in a better way with results (or in what I feel is a more godly way) I am to give it back to him to where he is not so kind.

And thats perfectly fine with me now (whereas it wasnt before) he has got to learn to rule, and he certainly wont learn this with me taking the reigns from him.

I am glad for the way he handles things too, he gets faster results also, God truly knew what he was doing when he made man the head of woman, especially mine the head of me.

So its all good here.

Well I encourage you to stay in Faith and believe God's word. Pray in tongues for him. Believe God's word and speak it over your lives. God will do what He says in His Word if you only will believe.

Well, no, I wont pray in tongues for anyone in particular because I would not understand who I am actually praying for if I cannot understand my own speech. Like, did I REALLY pray for this person or what? Because I would be praying wihtout any understanding (obviously)

I always pray utilizing my tongue in my own language.

In like manner, "Father, I pray for Fred...

Well, my husbands name isnt Fred but Tom, you get the point.

But like if I said, ABMF I am praying for you right now, and here it is...

digwafu ya ugyy wuggy doofuh heh guey fahuji kungfujuoy hubba wayzu hay quito iju hogwudiva dodo

Would you even believe I prayed specifically for you?

Because I sure wouldnt lol

We're accused of seeing a demon behind every rock and every fence post or bush. There are probably more like ten. Or even a thousand. Mark 5. For all you people who think spirits some how take up space and can't be in the same place how did all those Devils fit in that guy? Or a believer can't have a demon? How about Mary Magdalene whom Jesus cast out 7 Devils? She had come to Jesus and believed on Him. Or how about the women who asked Jesus for deliverence for her daughter? It's there that Jesus told her that Deliverance was not for people who were not Children.
If you have trouble with bugs put a screen on the window. If you stop inviting demons into your life you will not have the problem.

2 Cor 6:16 pretty well excludes the demons residing in Christians.

Want to get the demons out of church? Make church a place where the Holy Spirit ministers in the hearts of men. Make church a clean place. A place of righteousness. A place that is sanctified unto the Lord God. A holy place. Make the preaching of Gods word the center of the service. Exalt and glorify Christ and the demons will give the place a wide birth. They are offended with holiness and God is offended with idolatry.

For the cause of Christ

Isn't the work of Christ and advancing His Kingdom to set the captives free? For this purpose was the Son of God manifest, to destroy the works of satan. Deliverence or the casting out of evil Spirits brings the Kingdom of God onto people's lives. Take a read of Matthew 6:23. Advance Christ in His Kingdom as much as God gives. I enjoy harrassing religious Devils who do not believe. I'm sure I have annoyed a few Devils. " stay on the hunt" till hell gives some of them up. In Jesus name!!

You seem to forget something very important. Jesus never went "hunting" for demons and so called deliverance folks like you seem to always miss that part.

I was in service once and a woman started hissing during worship and acting out. A crowd of men gathered around her and began "casting" out that demon!

I watched this go on for about 10 minutes, man those brothers were putting everything they had casting out that devil in that woman. They were yelling, stomping their feet, getting sweaty, out of breath and red faced. It's a tough devil said one!

I finally went to the pastor, who was not only embarrassed at the antics, but seemed powerless to stop it all. He knew me and trusted me and while the "deliverance" brothers were praying and casting, I took the microphone and asked the congregation to stand and just focus on Jesus and just worship him. I asked them to continue worshiping.

Not even 2 minutes later the woman, that started it all, stopped, got up, returned to "normal" and walked out of the church.
red faced and embarrassed and told me on her way out, that I was a jerk. I asked her to stay and join us for the rest of the service, but she stamped out. This woman was not possessed by anything other than her need for attention.

There was no demon, there was no power of darkness, just a woman in her 20's that needed attention and some easy, fast cash.

Those demon hunters that tried to cast it out of her lost their wallets in the process. Yep, pick pocketed by the very same woman. We found out about a month later the same woman had been doing this in many other churches and pick pocketing others. She was caught finally.

If you go hunting for anything you will find it.

As a matter of the discussion, for me if one does not speak in tongues as a personal prayer language, then there missing a vital weapon against the devil. If you don't at all you can if you will.

That's not what I was speaking of. But I do not think you at all that spiritually at lack of understanding of what I was speaking of. I'll take the hardness of heart on the issue as you are decided on the mater. Lord bless you.

Show me scriptures supporting Jesus went after the demoniac. In most cases the demoniac came looking for him for deliverance or an evil spirit manifested and Jesus took authority over the situation. The only thing Jesus asked us to seek, was his kingdom and the Holy Spirit. IN Luke 10 when the 70 came back rejoicing the Spirits were subject to them using Jesus name, Jesus even told them, do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but that your names are written in heaven.

1 John 3.1-
Did you mean this verse or 1 John 3.8 which says-
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

This not a hunting license or even really even talking about demonic oppression. The works of the powers of darkness have kept people captive, the son of man came to seek adn save that which was lost and we have been translated from the Powers of darkness and into the kingdom of his dear son, because the work of the cross destroyed our bondage.

Acts 10.38-
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Acts 10.38 is again, not a hunting license, it tells us how Jesus did what he did on earth as man not bu use of his divinity as God. It tells the church how we are also anointed with power and the Holy Ghost and should go around doing good and healing all that are oppressed of the devil. Yet it does not in context tell us to go out and look for demons.

Luke 9-11 and Matthew 9-10 and Mark 16 do not support your mandate to be a deliverance minister or demon hunter. This tells us that we should not go looking for devils, but deal with them as they come up, because we have the authority and power to deal with them in the name of Jesus.

In Fact, most self appointed deliverance ministers miss something very important found in Luke 9.1-2

They all quote Luke 9.1-
Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

They think this is the mandate to go "hunting and seeking" after devils/demons, evil spirits, etc.

Yet look at Luke 9.2-
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

If hunting demons was a mandate, Jesus would have put in here.

The best deliverance ministry in the world, is one that simply teaches and preaches the word of God. The anointing destroys the yoke and the word of God does not return void and prospers in the thing it is sent into.

Yes every son & daughter of God has the power and authority to deal with the demonic, but not every son or daughter may be called to do so and many do so and do not even realize they have, because they simply teach and preach the anointed word of God and the yoke is destroyed.

I think you missed me asking you before so I will ask you again. Since you are in deliverance, which of the 3 revelation and 3 powers gifts in 1 Cor 12 do you operate in?

I don't find that I disagree with much of anything you have written here. Not much you have written seems to oppose the OP. To answer your Question on Giftings: How many gifts are contained in the Holy Ghost?

9 Gifts of the Holy Ghost are found in 1 Cor 12

7 Motive gifts are found in Romans 12

There are also gifts Found in 1 Peter 4, that some suggest are motive gifts aligned with those found in Romans 12.

5 ministry gifts are found in Ephesians 4.

Some count the 7 spirits of God found in Isaiah 11 also as gifts, but I do not. These 7 Spirits are attributes of the Holy Ghost , but certainly attributes we can and should seek to obtain.

Some also count the 9 fruit of the Spirit found in Gal 5 as gifts.

I believe:
The 9 gifts of the spirit found in 1 Cor 12 are for power and witness.
The 9 fruit of the Spirit found in Gal 5 are for christian character.
The 7 and 2 Motivational/motive gifts found in Romans 12 & 1 Peter 4 are for church organization
The 5 Gifts of Ministry in Ephesians 4 are for the equipping, maturing and completing of the church saints.

These gifts of the Holy Ghost are glued together or held firm by the 7 Spirits of God found in Isa 2.

I am probably forgetting or leaving some out, but this is just off the cuff.

True Christians are temples of the Holy Spirit. 1Corinthians 6:19 says "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own".
To me this means that my body is a place where God is. Evil spirits flee from God.

Here it shows the Spirit of God departing first then an evil spirit from the Lord troubling Saul

1 Sam 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Have you ever cast a demon out of anyone? Do you speak in tongues? Have you ever drank some poisionus susbstsnce on accident and never had it harm you? Have you ever had a snake bite you and there was no harm that came? ( you never do the poision drink and snake thing on purpose its an IF NOT a go do.) those who believe will speak in tongues and signs will follow them.

I have answered your questions now are you going to answer mine?

If you are an active deliverance minister, which revelation and power gifts listed in 1 Cor 12 do you operate in?

Speaking in tongues has zero to do with deliverance ministry.
