Yes, well, when owning Bibles is a death penalty offense, while Christians and labeled 'witches' and 'heretics' are burned to death at the stake by authority of the church, it does tend to deliver the message; convert or die like this.

That's not what I'd call divine. More like conversion through terrorist persuasion.

More blah blah blah, as usual around here. No substance. Nothing to back it up. Just hatred and ignorance.

Yes, Rome was the great persecuter of Christians, eventually however becoming overwhelmingly Christian. What a radical conversion. Truly divine. It's beautiful. Christ reigns.

Read Paul's Epistle to the Romans for starters for goodness sake, the man who first went to Rome and began that great conversion. Put away that fundamentalist ignorance and hate.

More fundamentalist ignorance on display here.

Platypus. The church banned un-approved translations that were defective. Why would the Church want to allow faulty translations be provided to the faithful?

Jerome stated that "ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ"

Also, please note that common ownership of "bibles" was not common until the 15th century, after the invention of the printing press. The first book printed? The Bible, and a 'Catholic' one at that [as that was before the Protestant Reformation]. Before Gutttenberg (printing press) bibles were hand copied and they were very very VERY expensive.

The Church protected scripture from those who would alter it. They had to police it, especially in her early history, and keep it authentic. If they hadn't then your bible would not be the word of God, but rather a terribly perverted corruption of it, altered again and again in the hands of heretics generation after generation. Thanks to the Catholic Church you hold in your hand the authentic Word of God (well, something close to it anyway since the Protestants have torn out entire books since the 15th century).

The reality is the Catholic church has never banned the bible. Unauthorized printings have been banned because they were full of error.

Actually it is more like Papist misinformation at work here.
Vernacular translations of scripture were prohibited by the church until the early 19th century. The common people could not read Latin because it was a language known to the highly educated. Those of the peasant class who may have been literate still could not read Latin, so common language translations of the Bible would have allowed the people to read scripture rather than have it read to them by a priest.
Laws against translating the Bible into other languages, prohibiting ownership of a Bible, or even reading a Bible, started in the 13th century and weren't repealed until the early 19th century.
All starting with Pope Innocent III in 1215.

Please don't imagine the Catholic history is unknown to Christians.

The early vernacular translations were horrible. The Church prohibited translation without authorization, that's all. In Europe at the time, those who could read, could read Latin; so the idea that Latin somehow made the Bible inaccessible is Protestant mythology foisted on the ignorant.

This is especially true given that books were hideously expensive until the industrial revolution in the nineteenth century, so the only way anyone could afford to own a Bible would be if they were rich -- in which case they were educated, which meant (even as late as the twentieth century) they could read Latin.

A good book on study of scripture and history is Where We Got the Bible, our debt to the Catholic Church by Henry G. Graham, a convert to the Catholic Church.

Re: REGARDING CHRIST'S CHURCH

You are saying the sheep and the goats have been separated already? This is contrary to the Word.

The opulence of the RCC is sickening. When the RCC recognizes the Authorithy of the Word, perhaps it will convert to the Way, however this is not to be.

Please do not teach others to understand lies, it is not spiritually healthy. There are believers still trapped by the traditions of man in the RCC, but I am confindent our Lord will extract them, now or come His Day.

Worship God, read His Word, and believe His Word. Stop praying to the woman appointed to be Christ's mother and to pope appointed saints, and pray to God through the One Mediator and High Priest, Jesus Christ.

Please understand, Jaume,
Christ gave it to his apostles, those men charged with leading his flock after his ascension;
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
- Mat 16:19

View attachment 87038

The RCC is the first to tell you that there are many other saints besides those whom they proclaim, though those whom they proclaim as saints are indeed saints, yes because they said so, because Christ said that if they said so then it would be so. This is the great commission.

I am afraid, my friend, that you are the one ignoring the teachings of our Lord,, not the RCC.

Trying to convert the converted, eh? Attempting to draw Christ's disciples out of His own Church through your false teaching. How foolish. Remember, Jaume, that you will indeed have to answer for that before God. Careful where you tread.

The Beast of Revelation is the Vatican. The man at the head of this kingdom is the seat of the Papacy. The Roman Catholic church is the fulfilled prophecy of the great apostasy. The RRC is rooted in Babylon. God is calling His people to come out of Babylon.
how about mecca (islam), how about buddism, how about Hinduism..Satanism...atheism..etc...

these religion does not worship your so called beast....

Not sure about your country but here in Canada there have been joined worships, fellowships and prayer meetings among RC, the Protestants, the Buddhist, the Muslim and a few others.
Have you heard of the Ecumenical Movement, Evangelist and Catholics Together, World Council of Churches?
The following is close to 10 years old:
CNS STORY: Pope made important overtures to non-Christian religions

just tell me..is islam the beast of revelation????
No it is not...

Study your Bible, examine the prophesies that God gave us to identify who and what the Beast and Antichrist is, that's what they're there for. A Beast is a kingdom that rises up from a specific place and time in history. Islam does not fit the place or time lime nor any of the other many points of identification. I have spelled it all out in easy step by step instruction here...Unlocking Bible Prophecy

I did a bit of study about prophecy:
Daniel 4 kingdoms prior to God's Kingdom
1. Babylonian - lion
2. Medo Persian - bear
3. Greece - leopard
4. ???? (unknown)

but John saw the 4th Beast kingdom:
its a mixture of all the previous beast
Rev 13:2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

All of them in middle east...
combine this with the prophecy of Ezekiel 38...most of the players are in the middle east.
plus the angel blowing the 6th trumpet mentioning the Euprhates river...

you will have your last kingdom...a military power in the middle east...

I don't have an issue walking into a Catholic Church, I've been a few times (on an occasion because of my Catholic family and another instance we were driving past a service and just stopped in) and a couple of them the sermon really spoke to me and I was quite blessed but it's this crap that goes on that I won't have anything to do with.

The catholic church didn't excommunicate any of the Nazi's during WW2. Not even Hitler.
