Not the converts from Judaism to Christianity or Christians who adopt Jewish customs (nothing wrong with that), but religious Jews. Do I have to love (as in "your neighbor as yourself") that group of non-Christians anymore than any other non-Christian demographic?

[I'm not questioning whether I should support Israel. God made a promise to Abraham and never reneged it]
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

"no 'religion' until Moses " ?

2 Peter 2:5 (KJV)
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person,
[ a preacher of righteousness], bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Hebrews 7:2 (KJV)
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation
King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

-

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,
Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

the oracles of God

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
Much every way:chiefly, because that unto them

were committed [the oracles of God]. Romans 3:2

-

This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel
which spake to him in [the mount Sina], and with our fathers:

who received the lively oracles [ to give unto us ] Acts 7:38

-

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need
that one teach you again which be the first principles of

[the oracles of God]; and are become such as have
need of milk, and not of strong meat. Hebrews 5:12

-

If any man speak, let him speak as [the oracles of God];
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:

that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

[h=3]James 1:27 (KJV)[/h]
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this,

To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,

and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

John 13: 34-35
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

...Most Christian views on the Old Covenant hold that the Old Testament has been superseded or abrogated and replaced with the New Covenant, which is the only one of the biblical covenants that remains valid today. Dual-covenant theology is unique in holding that the Old Covenant or the Bible's Law of Moses remains valid for Jews while the New Covenant only applies to non-Jews or gentiles...

MOST Christians are not preterists..that is utter nonsense and pathetic

the fruit of preterism is to put self on the throne and worship self as complete in one's own opinion

what does that have to do with loving others?

now anti-semitism is on the menu with some folks in this forum...but the op did not give evidence of that

just another long shot desperately trying to shut down all honest discourse

well, that is what preterism is...a shut down of what most Christians believe

now a snort of derision is sure to follow...pay no attention...that is considered a rebuttal but is actually only fear

of course, no response is considered good manners in this case so that might be acceptable

appreciate it for what it is...desperation and longing for all to follow suit which of course, and thank God, will never happen

Ok, so...

I read that without my glasses and thought it said,
"the New Covenant only applies to non-Jews or genitals.."

The more you read about the New Covenant...
the more you learn.

maybe she was thinking about that clause in the OT that acutally does mention genitals...you know the one that Moses forgot about and almost got himself killed over

hard to tell with a preterist...there is not much they actually believe

I hate Islam, but I don't hate Muslims. You don't need to agree with someone in order to afford them equal treatment.

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" (Matthew 7:12). Let me ask you; When Jesus took a whip towards the money changers at the Temple and overturned their tables, was he doing to them what he would have wanted them to do to him? Sometimes caring about others isn't always demonstrated by being nice.. Riddle me this; Jesus called the pharisees hypocrites, fools, serpents, vipers, etc.. Did he like these Jews? I suspect so, he just didn't approve of them and cared enough to point their ignorance out.

This thread makes me nauseous
Just simply the title.
It's not even just Jews (who are mostly WONDERFUL people mind you) but it's everyone.
You don't have to like anyone I suppose but show respect in your mind, words, and actions to them.

The subject just came up an hour ago in my house. We are to not like, but love all people, even our enemies. We are to pray for and bless our enemies. We do not pray for what they do but for their good, even salvation.

If you believe all Jews are your friends or your enemies you are to love them all regardless. Again if we consider anyone sinful and unsaved because of what they do, we do not pray for that, we pray for their good, their salvation. Never do we pray for the deeds of sinful people, for this would be participating in their sin,but at the same time, always keep in mind we are all siners, guilty of breaking all of the law, so we are no different except for being repentent and having come to Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.

Love all people...
