Not only do we find this in church, but in all areas of our lives we simply go along with things because we find everyone else doing them.

We accept how we live, we accept how our children are taught, simply because we look and see everyone else accepting it.

We can all see there is enough for all to live. Why do we accept a system that is designed to keep most poor?

Our children come out of school with absolutely no practical skills to utilize (growing food, what money is etc). It only trains them to work for another.
.......uh, Spirit.....I'm agreeing with you on this, plueezzzeee don't turn this into a "money is evil" thread......plueeezzzeee!

:)

Accept agreement with grace........

I never said money is evil, but to take it away will get rid of evil.

Religion is big business and as long as the people attend, the collection plate will be circulated.

But again what keeps us in adherence to this is the comfortabilty of it. Monkey see monkey do.

What do we Christians care about those that are starving right? Your belly is full, that's all that matters to you.

Taking away money will not get rid of evil. Evil lies in the heart of each human soul. Creation was cursed by sin at the Fall of Man. You don't just get rid of evil by removing money from the system. Hearts need to be transformed by Christ and his righteous sacrifice, through grace - via the Holy Spirit. That's when real change happens.

If money is taken away nothing will change. evil comes from mans own selfish desires not paper and coins. People will still kill, people will still lie, people will still steal because this is human nature.

Name ONE thing that is evil that it won't take away. Just ONE that I cannot see through to the root of the problem.

Derogatory pictures won't make the issue go away. You read the bible, that's good. But what do you do after that? You know what I speak is right and true.

Everything permeates around the making of a dollar in this world.
c'mon Spirit..........it wasn't a derogatory picture...........IT WAS HUMOR.......ok?

The love of money is the root (source) of evil.
Love x money = evil

Take money out of the equation means it cannot equal evil.

This is simple math learned in school.

The love of money is the root of evil not money

Ecclesiastes 7

12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

I don't know what school you went to but money isn't the root of evil. Yes, it's often used to justify evil but money in and of itself isn't evil. That's just not a biblical belief.

Did Jesus go to Church ?
No. But He gathered there to discuss scripture because of the customs of the people.

In other words if the whole city is at the synagogue and I want to teach, I have to go to the synagogue.

But the whole city wasn't at the synagogue. Jesus was often out and about. He travelled frequently, he taught outdoors all the time. Yes, Jesus went to church, as did the apostles. Or rather, they were the Church.

So if Jesus went to church why are most Christians not going to church ?
