(1) No, this isn't any clearer. What does a tower of an EU parliament building have to do with the Higgs boson? As far as I can tell - nothing, absolutely nothing.
(2) The EU Parliament building in France was modeled after Roman amphitheaters. At the time, the unfinished-looking tower faces east and symbolized the unfinished work of including the Eastern European nations into the EU, and had nothing to do with a painting of the tower of Babel. Which brings up an interesting point - you're comparing the EU Parliament tower (not even the entire building) to a painting by Bruegel and concluding that this is some sort of sign of the end times. Well, unless God either loves or hates Bruegel paintings, I don't know why his paintings are relevant. You've also conspicuously not looked at the other EU buildings, such as those in Brussels, which is the seat of the European Commission, European Council, and ECB (and also a second location of the EU Parliament). But those buildings don't make the symbolic connection your article tries to make, so they don't fit the narrative very neatly.
I think you're article is a great example of a real life spurious correlation, not to mention no correlation whatsoever with the Higgs boson.
