Revelation 19:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

Strike down

πατάσσω patassō verb To strike, hit, strike down
Complete Biblical Library Greek-English Dictionary, The - The Complete Biblical Library Greek-English Dictionary – Pi-Rho.

I suppose that one could read into it that they are killed?..not sure...we do know that their armies are destroyed for sure...:)

Except for the fact that right after, the angel calls the birds in for what is described as "the great supper of God".

True. But Satan takes no life that God doesn't allow. Can Satan do a single thing without God's permission?

then why are we given this warning?

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

The verse is true - but again, Satan can "devour" no one in defiance of God's will.

Do you believe God is in heaven, basically saying, "I sure hope the Devil doesn't kill that fellow - I really want him to live." ?

The book of Job teaches us that Satan can do no more than God allows.

I believe the book of Job is grossly mis-interpreted.

Here is a link that talks about Job..if anyone is interested..

“Understanding the Book of Job” by Tom Tompkins – Escape to Reality
"Satan answered, 'A human would do anything to save his life. But what do you think would happen if you reached down and took away his health? He’d curse you to your face.'

God said, 'All right. Go ahead—you can do what you like with him. But mind you, don’t kill him.' ” (Job 2:4-6)

No interpretation necessary. It's pretty self-explanatory.

true'

But the fact that God in his waord is warning to be careful and on the lookout so satan can do this, Is because God has given satan some leeway to try to take us out.

Otherwise, there is no need to warn us.

our war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers..

lets not be one of those who is not sober and vigilent who thinks satan can not touch them.
