On the day of judgment, the Lord GOD will not ask you if you are a Christian or Muslim or Buddhist etc but what He will ask you is "Do you do my will on earth?" ie was you putting the word of God in practice in your life?. Let us stop classifying people into religions so that we will be able to bring and change the lives of those people who are not doing the will of God in their lives. The will of GOD are; do not kill, do not lie, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not bear false witness, do not worship other god, honor your father and mother etc.Are you doing this?

And next time you disagree with something someone posts - how about using reason and rationality instead of attacking them personally - it tends to be more of a reflection on you than of the attackee.

Barack Obama has repeatedly stated that he is a committed Christian, and there is no credible evidence to the contrary. He was sworn into the Senate on his family Bible, and sworn into the presidency on a Bible used by Abraham Lincoln. He has regularly attended church with his wife and daughters for years. Questions have arisen due to the fact that his biological father had a "Muslim name" and was born into Islam. However, his father had long since left the religion and become an atheist by the time the future president was born. Further, Barack Obama's mother was a non-practicing Christian, so she raised her son to be spiritual and respect all religions. It was when he went to live with his maternal grandparents, who helped to raise him, that he lived in a home where a religion was observed-- Protestant Christianity.
In his writings, Barack Obama credited the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his pastor of 20 years at Trinity United Church in Chicago as one of his life mentors, and thanked him for bringing him back to being an active participant in Christianity. Another factor was his then-girlfriend Michelle Robinson, who was a practicing Christian. When the two married, they wanted a faith to share with their future children, and Mr. Obama agreed that becoming more active in a church would be a good thing.
Although Barack Obama later resigned from his Chicago church as a result of controversial sermons by his former pastor, he continued to identify as a Christian and his family has never observed anything other than Christianity, contrary to internet myths. As president, he and his family have gone to a local church in Washington DC on a number of occasions. The family also has friends who are ministers from several denominations. That said, the president has a multicultural family, with relatives who are Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, and Christians. He respects them all.

All government leaders or presidents claim they are Christian. yet they all allow for gay marriage. were are there Christian principles? The thing is, what they say they are, you can guarantee that they are not, Obama, Cameron, and who ever the presidents or Mp's or leaders, its one rule for them another rule for us. So were is the Christian in there claim?
It actually was for hte most post i wonder a time constraint last time. well seeing how they are leading an entire country not a religious group sometimes whats good for the populace may not be good for christianity. Equality for all citizens>sticking with biblical principles of sexuality. It's all well and good for someone to follow christian values in their personal lives, but seeing how we dont live in a theocracy and despite the roughly 70% of americans whoclaim to be christians, the majority of the population has switched to supporting gay marriages. Now im sure people will try to argue this point but polls prove it. Now as president, sure you may be a christian, but you arent running a church. Youre running a country, and sometimes you have to make decisions that may go against your religion. So the whole argument of 'How do political leaders claim to be christian then support gay marriage?' is junk. They aren't pastors ministering to a congrgation. They are men in charge of leading a country of over 300 million, over half of which dont share the rightwing/conservative christian fear/hatred/disgust of gay marriage. If you were president and used common sense and smarts with this information, it also means the choice you make may not be the one you believe.
