I believe in the trinity, but since you choose to say hateful things, you will now occupy the # 9 slot in my ignore bin
Do you know how Saint Paul uses the word anathema in Scripture? Is nothing anathema? Is it hateful to say not believing in the Trinity is anathema? No. It's bigoted to call true words hateful.
I do not at any time say hateful things against anyone. If anyone hates my words, that's their problem. The words I hate I have already spoken. May God forgive me for the past sins my tongue committed when I sinned greatly. Lord have mercy on me a sinner. I have sinned immeasurably.
God have mercy on all of us, and keep us from saying or choosing to say hateful things. Amen.

I think anyone on either side of the Trinity V Oneness debate that says the other side is unsaved because of their beliefs is going too far. As long as you affirm the deity of Christ, I believe you are on the right track.

That's because the doctrine of the trinity is not in scripture. Oopsies!

I believe in the trinity.. one triune God.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit as one being.

I do have an issue with seperating them out into seperate beings.. because there are too many verses when they are interchanging roles or doing the same thing at the same time.

I believe when I get to heaven I will meet God... full stop. One being. I don believe I'll meet Jesus.. the Father.. and the Holy Spirit as seperate beings.. because that would be pretty much Polytheism.

But.. as long as people believe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are equally God.. no inferiority from one to the other.. I got no beef.. because then it is just semantics.

Just as the one God is three, the one Spirit is seven Spirits.

1 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,'These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. (Revelation 3:1)

If you believe Jesus is God, and that in form He is separate from the Father and Spirit but yet they all are one God then you believe in the Trinity. Father is not the Son which is not the Spirit which is not the Father but they are one God One Divine being.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8 NASB)

This also goes for you Cobus. We should unite in one in unity as a body, just as the Trinity unite in one God.

I do not believe in a triune God.

1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1 Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Jesus has a God
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our savior, the second Adam. A man.

Is it a salvation issue?? If not, why argue about it? These petty doctrine debates are annoying.

Dude1 to Dude 653,

What do you think? ... Is it a salvation issue? ...

"... if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24)

Note: There is NO "he" after "I AM" in any of the Greek manuscripts.
The translators must have added it for reading clarity.
Please go figure for me, 'cause I can't.

Actually it is, if you don't believe that the three are one God then you what do you believe? Believing Jesus is God in flesh is the same as believing He is the Son of God. Not against anyone.

I believe There is one God. I believe Jesus' God is the Father. I believe the Trinity. Trinitarians believe Jesus has a God but He Himself is God in the flesh.

Believing Jesus is God incarnate and believing in the Trinity is not the same thing.

Do you believe Jesus is God in flesh? Do you believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God? Do you believe the Father is God? If yes to all of these, then you believe they three are God. Not a god but the true and One Lord and God. Because believing The Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus being God but are separate but yet one then you believe the Trinity. Not being offensive but pointing the truth.

I do believe Jesus is God in the flesh, that the holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, and that the Father in the one and only true god. However I DO NOT believe they are separate therefore I do not believe in the doctrine of the Trinity
