Not a solid verse anywhere telling us the 4th commandment is done away with. Yet there are dozens of verses that teach us how good it is when we delight in God's Sabbath. Not a tough decision for me, at least not now.
The words are spirit because God is Spirit. We have moved past what you focus on to press forward, laying aside what is behind, in order to grab for the very thing we were grabbed FOR.

You should go on in the way you are going until such time as He gives you more understanding. We will not go backwards, looking longingly, like Lots wife did, on what she was leaving behind. We have given it all up as rubbish compared to getting to know more and more, Him who has grabbed us and the things He has grabbed us FOR.

So? Get yourself off to church on Saturdays. What's your problem?

Yes God does say to keep Holy the Sabbath Day. But we must understand the Sabbath Day was made for man to enjoy and Worship God.

The Sabbath Day was not made for man to be under a heavy yoke like so many people today teach. They teach we must do this and we cannot do that!

This is not what God wanted. Most Saturday Sabbath believers love to put heavy burdens on others. This is why there were so many man made laws for the Sabbath.

We are to enjoy the Sabbath! We are to enjoy the day and do what we want! We were NEVER meant to be Salves to the Sabbath!

If you are keeping Saturday as the Sabbath because the Law says we are, then you really are not walking with God. Its where your Heart is that counts. Are you keeping Saturday because you Love God or are you keeping Saturday because you follow the Law?

There is nothing wrong with keeping either Saturday or Sunday. What is wrong is if you are doing this because you are trying to keep the Law!!!!

Bless you, brother! Amen!

I think that if some feel strongly about a certain day (Saturday) or about Jewish holidays, etc., then the rest of us need to be OK with that. Let them feel strongly about it. We don't have to prove to them that they are wrong.

Its by his works that disciplrmike is trying to justify himself which is so sad. He is going down the same road the Pharisees went down.

I'm not trying to say I had a revelation or anything but God did show me something today. I have been really contemplating the last couple weeks about the Saturday Sabbath deal. I have always gone to church on Sundays and really never gave it much thought. Lately with all the Sabbath and Law threads got me to really search the scriptures. I have even started looking at church's in my area that might hold Saturday Sabbath.

Well today I spoke to a gentleman who was holding bible studies on Friday's. He specifically asked for only Saturday Sabbath keepers. Well we talked and he was trying to convince me that the Saturday Sabbath was the right one and how if we love God we would keep it. I listened to him patiently and told him I would consider what he said.

Well tonight when I got home my wife and I started reading the bible and God had me turn to Romans and specifically Romans 14 and 15. I'm not going to paste both chapters but it talks about how we shouldn't be critical of others for believing one way or the other. If someone wants to eat a certain way we shouldn't condemn them for it and vice versa. It also goes as far to say if what we eat causes another to stumble then we shouldn't eat in front of them.

Romans 14:5-9 really hit home. Basically says if someone says one day is more holy than another and others feel all days are alike who are we to criticize each other? Isn't this what we are all doing right now on this forum? We sit here and criticize each other for things that scripture says not to do. I am as guilty as anyone.

These two chapters aren't new to any of us but for some reason it just sank in a little deeper tonight for me.

Just my thoughts and how scripture has basically set me free from feeling guilty about the Sabbath day and how I can live with everyday being the Sabbath day for me.
As far as the Sabbath issue is concerned, in my experience i have never heard a Christian condemning someone for worshiping on a Saturday. It always seems to be a major issue with Saturday worshipers mainly with an SDA background
who go so far as to say that Sunday worship is the Mark of the beast. As far as im concerned what day a person worships is between them and God

:alien: indeed my brethren brother
sisters and unto all
sabatth is the rest day of our soul
not only the lirerally physical living soul
but the spirutual soul that cannot die
as jesus said before
as it is written
:read:
Mateo: 10. 26. Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
27. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
28. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

... . thats why most of those people in the past
condemning others because they never knew what they were doing
for they taught god is with them because of their pharisees like manners

... . we are not telling that all those people were bad people
because most of them were only afraid to learn that they were wrong
as it is written
:read:
Mateo: 21. 15. And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, 16. And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

:ty:

godbless us all always
