Excuse me dude, But she is the one who attacked a man because he said something about what he believed.

You people do not like to be called out. Stop doing what your doing.

If you think her post was an attack of a person your fortitude is lower than figured.

I think it can. Wouldn't the fact that no one can come unless drawn prove this?

But, then this is off topic? Which we don't really know unless we watch, huh? :)

It does go with the title though.
..wasn't thinking straight, haha unconditional....now I know I saw this at one time. That's what happens to me when I stretch myself over several topics. Can't pat my head while rubbing belly. :)

I can guarantee that he will talk about almost every verse in the Bible EXCEPT that which is written in Ro 9 to show us what he thinks Ro 9 is about.
Paul answers the question...why has national Israel gotten so far off track....
he had just explained the golden Chain of redemption in romans 8;29-39.....
Then he explains that although Israel as a nation was chosen to have believers in it, NOT EVERY SINGLE ISRAELITE of physical descent was in "the Israel of God"
Paul makes a distinction between physical descent[sperma]...and spiritual children of promise[teknon]
Not all israel was of Israel....
he demonstrates it by showing Individual election even down to twins in the womb......one loved, one hated.....not nations as spoken of in malachi, but individuals.....
God has mercy on who he will....

Even to individual gentiles who come in on equal footing.....replacing broken off branches[unbelieving, covenant breaking jews]...with elect gentiles.....same pattern he preaches in acts 13:
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

And how would you know so much about these "groupies" that back each other?

Maybe because you have so much groupie experience in the "Not By Works" thread?
Yes, we are a club now with buttons. Anyone can join though. :)N Am thinking of flags for our cars. My husband is a graphics designer. Will have a design soon.

That's written in the Westminster Confession of Faith as well as the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. And that is what this thread is discussing. So what was your question regarding "the elect"? Election and predestination are indeed Bible doctrines, but not as presented by Calvinism (Reformed Theology). Where exactly do you stand?
I asked to debate from the scripture from Gods word not from somebody's doctrine, I don't know calvine I never read anything from him, I have no intention on arguing, if you don't want to just say so. God bless

That would pretty much sum it up bro.
i am sort of new here...but i have not seen this poster attempt to address scripture at all???
Does he ever make a scriptural argument?
he asked if i was joking??? no..i was not joking...everyone posts what they think is truth...no one posts and says...I know this is not true, but i will post it anyway...so when N6 says...he or she is opinionated//// this is true for every poster, so why make such a statement...i think it is because very little scripture is available for them to offer.

Now, now, no one got mad, that's your cup of tea. You're probably already mad, like right this moment already. Keep censuring God, bro.

That says the Jews "judged themselves" not that God didn't predestinate them to eternal life. But thanks for proving my point by using Acts not Ro 9 to try to explain Ro 9. Calvinists use just about every verse in the Bible to explain Ro 9 EXCEPT what is in Ro 9.

Hello celib, you are free to do what you want...but so are confessional christians. in other words...everyone says...I just believe the bible...but the question is...What does the bible teach.
In the Confessions...they use a ton of scripture...then they say...this is what we believe the scripture says.
i have never seen a non confessional person hold their own with a confessional person.

Yes, you asked to debate from scripture. I offered to study Romans 9 with you yet you continue to evade the matter. Clearly you are not serious about this.

that is as foolish as saying men send themselves to hell. I could stay in romans all day, but have to go back to work...I see romans 8-11 as one unit of thought, i can stay in there all day if you want..when i have the time, going back to work now however...can i ask you to list as many questions on this passage as you can, and we will see if we can help find a solution here

If you wish to study scripture, I offered to study Romans 9. Perhaps you would like to start there.
If you want to study Romans 9 I will but chapter 8 is where we should go. God bless

Hi, One of those dead guys is Christ and he is the author of the Bible, why don't you study that book, did you know there was an earth age before this one where satan rebelled? did you know that there was a judgment after the rebellion and satan was sentenced to parish.Eze.28, did you know everyone else was judged and some were found to be righteous. Romans.8, did you know that rather then destroy 2 third of his children God said let us make man in our image, and here we are trying to save some of those 2 third. Where in the Scripture does it say there are no elects? I would like to debate you on the subject from the Scripture, not what Calvin said or Murray said but what the Bible says. God bless
Jesus is alive and well :)

Yes, pretty much what you already see is what you're going to get from him. An allusion to a verse here and there, and censuring of the truth. That pretty much sums it up.
