Romans 11:19-22

Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

The branches that were broken off were the Jews for failing to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We the gentiles were now grafted in for our belief in Jesus. The Jews fell away do to unbelief, and now unless they come to accept Jesus Christ too they will continue to be cut off from salvation. That severity falls on us as well, if we chose to not believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, or turn from following Him then we to will be cut off.

The temple will be rebuilt as Revelation shows in chapter 11, and how the two witnesses will stand out in front of it and prophesy. The Jews will return to animal sacrifices and other old traditions, that the antichrist will then put an end to as other scriptures mention. And then he will stand in a rebuilt temple dedicated to God, and claim to be god himself.

Part 2) To whom is the New Covenant made?

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Excellent understanding. It is the word for word quoted OT scripture, fulfilled in the New Covenant to the One United House of Israel;

(Heb 8:10)
For this is
the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

No more two houses. The breach repaired as prophecied;

(Act 15:14)
Simon has related how God first visited to take out of the nations a people for his name.

(Act 15:15)
And with this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written:

(Act 15:16)
After these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up,

(Act 15:17)
so that the residue of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations on whom my name is invoked, saith the Lord, who does these things

(Act 15:18)
known from eternity.

(Act 15:19)
Wherefore *I* judge, not to trouble those who from the nations turn to God;

FULFILLING

(Amo 9:11)
In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

All of us who Receive Jesus as the Messiah to Israel, are Married to Him, two becoming One.
One House now, the House of Israel. Comprised of Jews, and the True Israel who Comes out from the Nations. This has been going on for 2000 years now and is the Gospel and is what saved me from the Jewish fables that only led to death.
Thank you Jesus Messiah of Israel! We praise you!! woohoo!

God's promises to Israel are without revocation, even the time of the tribulation the "time of Jacob's trouble." God is not done with Israel, and Israel will one day repent and come to know their Lord Jesus. Beware of anybody teaching any flavor of "replacement theology." It's a most devilish lie, at the heart of it the vileness of Antisemitism.
From the time of Christ until today (about 2,000 years), what will happen to all those who claim to be Jews yet rejected Christ, who lived and died within this 2000 year time period?

Ok I'm not sure where to head from here.I believe the Bible teaches Israel are Gods chosen, the Jews.I believe the New Covenant includes todays Jews and we can take part only because we are grafted in.As the Bible continually says "first to the Jews"... I continue with Scripture that shows the Jews will recognize their Messiah is Jesus once the Anti Christ turns against them and they will be saved.I do not believe gentiles have replaced the Jews in the New Covenant. But its not really worth the effort to prove all that because it seems the majority here do not believe that.I have not come across many Christians who do not believe the Jews are the chosen ones. I feel the replacement theory is dangerous and heresy. So maybe if everyone just says what they believe concerning this I may have a better understand of where you all are coming from. Thanks folks.

Biblical Israel doesn't exist today either. There is no temple, no king, no high priest, no priests, no sacrifice, no prophet, no rule by Torah, .... The system is completely different, and foreign. Israel today is secular and ruled by democratic principles and parliamentary rule (rather than theocratic king and Torah rule). How can anyone really say this is biblical Israel?

We could go on with major differences too.

It's also possible that people just disagree with your interpretation of the bible.

But you're giving your interpretation. The problem isn't the words you're quoting, it's the way those words are understood.
Yes, so true so true.

Gentiles have not replace the Jews by any standards.
However gentiles and Jews alike since Jesus Christ came all fall under the same covenant which means just like us gentiles the Jews must accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to have salvation.
They are not saved regardless of if they believe or not. The scriptures make it clear that they to must accept Jesus Christ just like us gentile believers.

Okay, thank you for sharing your pure opinion!

Here's first and foremost what I believe;

(Rom 3:4)

...yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Here is WHO I say are God's Chosen people;

(Joh 15:16)
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

(Joh 15:19)
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

(Eph 1:4)
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

(Jas 2:5)
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

(1Pe 2:9)
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
(Rev 17:14)
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

WOOHOO!

Now THAT is being "CHOSEN" hehe! And Kalagirl, that means YOU :) YOU are Chosen. But I suppose you could give that away to some divorced widowed antichrist terrorist Jews if you like. You can do what you want.

But I sure won't :)

(Gal 6:14)
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
(Gal 6:15)
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
(Gal 6:16)
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

just so you know.

1 Isreal has priest. just not active (no temple)
2. They have the furniture and everything which belongs in the temple
3. They have the priest ephod and clothing.
4. All they need is a temple, which at this moment, they are trying to build (the dome of the rock is on the temple mount, but they are trying to get around that.
5. They have the animals (they just found the heffer which was thought not to be around, and are stocking them up)

So this argument is actually false.

They do not rule jerusalem, It is still in gentile hands, of course this was prophesied was it not??

We could go on with major differences too.
really? Would it matter, Israel is in sin, As paul said they are partially blind, and have been since Christ, did we expect it to be any different? or should we ignore prophesy?

It's also possible that people just disagree with your interpretation of the bible.

what is to differ, and what is to interpret? Does eternal NOT mean eternal? Does ALL your generations not mean all, only some? there is only one interpretation of the promise. not many.

But you're giving your interpretation. The problem isn't the words you're quoting, it's the way those words are understood.

Again, When has eternal NOT been eternal.

Those are not her words, they are Gods words, and HIS promise Does God ever renig on his promises? if he does, we are in deep deep trouble are we not?

If the fleshly Hebrews are still God's chosen then all Gentiles are lost without any hope.

2) God's covenant with fleshly Israel was "everlasting" but was also conditional, that is, God would do His part but if Israel failed to keep their part of the covenant then God was no longer obligated to fulfill His part.
wrong for so many reasons.

1. God promise to abraham was to be a blessing to all nations (would incude Gentiles)
2. Gods covenant with isreal could include a gentile if they went through certain things.
3. The physical promise only was given to Isreal. and had absolutely nothing to do with eternal salvation, if it did, all jews would be saved, just because of who they were.

the problem is, people want to take the spiritual promise, and make it equal with the physical promise, which was not only never intended, but never mentioned.

Yes it is, and so many are caught up in the whole eternal aspect.
The problem is they are eternally His chosen, but what some fail to realize is that even with all Christians people can chose and have chosen to turn their back on God. In the bible it talks about some who have turned away, and it even refers to us now under the new covenant that some will turn and fall away.

Why does that have to be the case? The Gentiles and Israel will be God's people in the Millennium so why must one exclude the other?

Snuck this in under the time limit...

Isa 19:24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
Isa 19:25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
Yes Gods plan from the beginning was to bless israel. and prove to the world he is the one and the only God. Israel failed from the beginning, not just in the first century AD.

Gods plan WILL be fulfilled.

Where's Kerry, she said something a few days ago, that gave me better understanding, I knew something wasn't right and she clarified, I liked it so much that I took notes. I hope she doesn't mind me posting what she said because I haven't seen her post on the issue..so here's what she said.

Muslims receive Mohammed and Jews do not believe that Jesus is the son of God.

Mohammed was a deranged demonic person and His writings are babble at best, Starting 650 AD.

The Jews do not accept Christ because He did not make them the America of the day, In their minds being set free is to be set free from their flesh enemies which Jesus did not do. Proven by Rome destroying the temple in 70 AD.

Mohammed was disowned by his family and punched out by his uncle but found a group of poor slobs to trust in Him and became terrorist to this day. I meant read the Qouran it makes no since it is a bunch of babble and has no structure.

The Jews did exist for almost 2 thousand years until the UN decided to give them a state, this by much political pressure and Jews with clout. They tried to give them a large parcel of land in South America , but this was not Gods plan. They gave in and gave them Israel or Jerusalem ( Come on atheist) They even fought over what their money would be called and they Shekel won out which is what it was called in OT times. They became a nation in one day by the stroke of a pen as prophesied.

Israel is more of a witness now than the church has ever been. even though the majority of Israelite are atheist. The fact that they exist is testimony to God and the reason why Satan fights them so hard. Because if he can cause one promise made to Israel to fail then he wins, because he has made God a liar, but that will not happen. Pray for the peace of Israel and not the false peace.

In looking at the OP again, I had to just ask, does anyone personally know a Jew who curses the Name of Jesus, who hasn't received Christ in their flesh, and hates those who loves Jesus (most who live in modern day Israel)... and if you do know someone like that, would you say he is scripturally "chosen" somehow?

If fleshly Israel is still God's chosen people, how then did this elect, chosen people become lost, Rom 10:1 cast away Rom 11:15-25? Why was just a remnant of fleshly Israel saved, Rom 9:27; Rom 11:5?
better yet.

Why did God call Israel HATED because of the Gospel. But BELOVED because of the promise (rom 11) and why did Paul tell us that Gods promises are irrevocable? Would this not be why Israel is beloved, and because God will not forget his promise to them (when they repent)?

The new covenant is made with Christians and anyone can become a Christian as Jews did in Acts 2 and Gentiles in Acts 10.....Gal 3:28; Col 3:11 in Christ there is no Jew or Gentile just Christians.

Except for the remnant in Acts 2 that obeyed the gospel words preached by Peter, most of the Jews rejected this new covenant.
Gods promise was not salvation, it was to be a people. and to be his representatives on earth. and to live in a land and be blessed by God.

Dont make a spiritual promise equal with a physical one, they do not mix

As Paul said in Rom 2:28,29 the true Jew is NOT one outwardly of the flesh but inwardly of the heart. SO anyhone Jew or Gentile that becomes a Christian becomes a true Jew of the heart, a spiritual Jew/Christian.

Rom 9:8 "That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."

Just being a fleshly descendant of Abraham did not make one a chosen Jew for he had to be of a particular seed (Issac). Likewise just a fleshly birth does not make one a child of God--just being born a fleshly Jew does not make one a child of God but must be of a particular seed > the children of promise (Christians) are the children of God. are counted for seed.

Addedum:

Ex 19:5 "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:"

Israel did not obey thereby did NOT fulfill their part of the covenant so God had no obligation to Israel to fulfill His part...God said "
Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation." Ex 32:10. Again God has no obligation to Israel after Israel disobeyed and broke the covenant so God could have destroyed Israel and made of Moses a great nation.
Mosaic covenant-conditional- broken
Abrahamic Covenant - unconditional- everlasting
The promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob still stand and are received by faith.

Since Israel is apostate spiritually they will receive Gods judgment in the form of the great tribulation.

With their lips they do worship God but their hearts are far from God.

For the cause of Christ
roger
Not all Israel, there is a remnant.
