So you went with Zech 14:1-5 from referring to the destruction of Jerusalem to Jesus' crucifixion. ..anything but a future literal fulfillment where His feet stand on the Mount of Olives and the Mount cleaves in two...anything to fit your preconceived notions even if it means spiritualizing scripture. OK, I'm done for now.
Spiritualized scripture? It was Christ who spiritualized the meanings exile, return, deliverance. Not me.

No, Jesus did not spiritualize it, He affirmed it in acts one when he was outright asked when the deliverance would be, and his reply was NOT they there would not be a deliverance, it was NOT that they do not understand, he just delivered them, His response was do not worry about it, it is not for you to know when.

But yuo continue to ignore and try to spiritualise things, in doing so, making God a liar. For it is HE who said he will destroy his enemy, and the enemy of his people , It is HE who said the messiah would come and split the mount of Olives in two and set up his kingdom.

You calling God a liar. Calling us liars and deceivers is not going to do anything. It will not affect our salvations or our walk with God. But calling God a liar, that is a dangerous thing.

Who asked in Acts when the deliverance would be? Christ already delivered us. God dealt with sin and evil once and for all on the cross.

How am I calling God a liar if I believe that Christ is the fulfillment of God's promise? God gave us His only begotten Son. What do you want more?

I do not spiritualize nothing. Christ did it before me and I believe Christ. I am surprised that you do not see this. You have the same expectation as the Jews: a political Messiah.

Eternally-grateful, for what are you eternally grateful if you don't even believe Christ was the promised Messiah?

Can't you see that you deny your faith and your Savior?

Eternally-grateful, we, the christians, are now God's Israel.

You have to chose between Christ and Judaism. You either believe Christ and are an authentic christian either don't believe Him and become Jew. There is no middle way, like you want. Christian Zionist is a compromise of the Gospel.

Chose Christ!

The kingdom, as in the King, was physically there in their midst. The Pharisees asked "when the kingdom of God would come" . . . this was asked in derision - they were demanding to know when the kingdom of God would come wanting to discredit him before the people who believed that Jesus was the Messiah, the King. In essence saying "If you are the King, where's your Kingdom." Jesus' answer - 1) they would not need to search for the Kingdom (v23) because 2) when it did come it would be like lightning that lights up the entire sky--everyone would see it (v24); and 3) as in was in the past in the time of Noah - people will be living life normally with no thought - so it will be in the "day the Son of Man is revealed" (v26,30). The Pharisees did not RECOGNIZE him - they did not ACKNOWLEDGE him - They had him crucified. The "King" is no longer here physically BUT He will return as King of Kings and rule over his future kingdom.

This is what I said:
I went to look at some commentaries on this and boy, are they scattered in their interpretations . . . Not many are sure but they do agree with the fact that it has to have something to do with the transfiguration - At the transfiguration when Moses and Elijah appeared - they spoke of his departure - (his death and resurrection). His resurrection is what brought the holy Spirit and gave the apostles "power from on high" or "power from above". If the commentaries are not sure about this - then I sure as heck don't know for sure. But these 3 scriptures do not negate how other prophecies have been literally fulfilled and it's funny how you want to read those scripture with a literal meaning; they could mean something entirely different than what you or I am thinking.
I'm glad you fully understand since I can't even find commentaries by scholars that can agree . . . .

Excuse me - 2 Corinthians 4:4 - In whom the god of this world . . . . .

I guess you posted this because you believe that verses 7-9 have not yet occurred? Who do you think walks about seeking whom he may devour? Who do you think our spiritual warfare is with? When Adam and Eve fell and lost dominion over the earth - who do you think got it? He tempted Jesus with it: The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, It will all be yours. And 2 Cor. 4:4 calls him the "god of this world".

I can't roll things out of my mouth and onto a keyboard as easy and as quick as it seems EG and Cross can do (LOL) but there are some things that are just fact:

1) God has declared that Israel is not to cease from being a nation before Him for ever.
2) The promise of a land to the descendants of Abraham,
3) the promise of a son of David's own line is to occupy David's throne for ever

These have not been fulfilled. The OT promises are all as certain of fulfillment in their OT sense and meaning and purpose to Israel, as are the NT promises are certain of fulfillment to the Church.
Peaceful you took two places in scripture and tried to mash them together LEAVING out this event

Luke 19

[SUP]28 [/SUP]After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. [SUP]29 [/SUP]As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, [SUP]30 [/SUP]“Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. [SUP]31 [/SUP]If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. [SUP]33 [/SUP]As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
[SUP]34 [/SUP]They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
[SUP]35 [/SUP]They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. [SUP]36 [/SUP]As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
[SUP]37 [/SUP]When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
[SUP]38[/SUP]“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!
[SUP][b][/SUP]

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

[SUP]39 [/SUP]Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
[SUP]40 [/SUP]“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
[SUP]41 [/SUP]As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it [SUP]42 [/SUP]and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. [SUP]43 [/SUP]The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. [SUP]44 [/SUP]They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

By the way Matthew 24 NEVER says that Jesus is coming to set up an earthly kingdom. IT'S NOT THERE.

2 Corinthians 4 DOES NOT SAY the god of this age is a KING.

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. [SUP]4 [/SUP]The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[SUP][a][/SUP] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

Is this true or not?

Ephesians 1

[SUP]15 [/SUP]For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, [SUP]16 [/SUP]I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[SUP][f][/SUP] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. [SUP]18 [/SUP]I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, [SUP]19 [/SUP]and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength [SUP]20 [/SUP]he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, [SUP]21 [/SUP]far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. [SUP]22 [/SUP]And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, [SUP]23 [/SUP]which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Is Jesus NOW above every rule, authority, power and dominion now in this present age or not?

Matthew 28

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. [SUP]17 [/SUP]When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [SUP]20 [/SUP]and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Does Jesus now have all authority in heaven and on earth?

Do you understand when you say Jesus is not King over earth and ruling now,you are saying HE DOES NOT HAVE ALL AUTHORITY in heaven and on earth and He is NOT far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Are you saying that Jesus did NOT show the spiritual meanings of the scriptures? Did Jesus say there was a different temple then the one made by human hands? Did Jesus talk about flowing living waters? Do you think there just might be a connection with what Jesus said and this?

Ezekiel 47

47 The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. [SUP]2 [/SUP]He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.

John 2

[SUP]13 [/SUP]When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. [SUP]14 [/SUP]In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. [SUP]15 [/SUP]So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. [SUP]16 [/SUP]To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” [SUP]17 [/SUP]His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
[SUP][c][/SUP]
[SUP]18 [/SUP]The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
[SUP]20 [/SUP]They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” [SUP]21 [/SUP]But the temple he had spoken of was his body. [SUP]22 [/SUP]After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.
[SUP][d][/SUP] [SUP]24 [/SUP]But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. [SUP]25 [/SUP]He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

John 4

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

[SUP]11 [/SUP]“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? [SUP]12 [/SUP]Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, [SUP]14 [/SUP]
but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 7

[SUP]37 [/SUP]On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.
[SUP]38 [/SUP]Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”[SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]39 [/SUP]By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Isaiah 51:1-2

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.

Zechariah 14

On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter.

Do you think there is a connection there?

.
In response to "the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." I said the people were expecting a king and believed he was king not understanding that Jesus was to be "the suffering servant" as his life here on earth - that he would have to suffer and die but be raised again - he would not reign as king until his second coming - when he returns as king of Kings.
No, it's not there and if you want to believe that a kingdom will be floating in the air in the clouds - that is your right. I believe the reason for new heavens and a new earth is for his coming kingdom where he will rule from the throne of David.

2 Corinthians 4 DOES NOT SAY the god of this age is a KING.

Our Father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever. Amen
And His kingdom will become a reality when he returns to set up that kingdom in all power and glory. I really believe that if Christ was ruling now . . . there would be no evil in the world, no more tears, no more sorrow. We would be living in righteousness and justice - just as he promised.

Where in that passage does it say that the god of this world has dominion over anything? You're adding that to the text.

You want to try reading Hebrews 2 in context and what it ACTUALLY SAYS

Hebrews 2

[SUP]5 [/SUP]It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. [SUP]6 [/SUP]But there is a place where someone has testified:
“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
a son of man that you care for him?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]You made them a little[SUP][a][/SUP] lower than the angels;
you crowned them with glory and honor
[SUP]8 [/SUP] and put everything under their feet.”[SUP][b][/SUP][SUP][c][/SUP]

In putting everything under them,[SUP][d][/SUP] God left nothing that is not subject to them.[SUP][e][/SUP] Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.[SUP][f][/SUP] [SUP]9 [/SUP]But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

First it says THEIR FEET not His feet. And then the writer of Hebrews says Yet at present we do not see everything subject to THEM. And it also says Jesus is NOW CROWNED with glory and honor. It does NOT say what you want it to say.

Yes Jesus did teach the disciples to pray that prayer. It is given BEFORE Jesus ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father.

And again you imply that Jesus lied to the disciples when He clearly said that SOME of them standing there would NOT TASTE DEATH until they say His kingdom come in glory and power. Either Jesus Kingdom is a reality NOW or Jesus lied. You can't have it BOTH WAYS.

Where did I ever say that I believed in a kingdom that would be floating in the air in the clouds? What I plainly said it that we are in a KINGDOM RULED FROM HEAVEN. Which is God's perfect design. God rules over the earth BUT NOT FROM EARTH. The son rules in the same manner as the Father,He rules over earth but NOT FROM EARTH. He rules at the right hand of the Father who is in heaven.

there aren't any believing nations. it's hard enough to find a believing congregation !

So what you are saying is the verse that Paul states Believing nations and believing Israel are grafted into the same tree proves your point that unbelieving Israel and believing Israel are children of the promise and are separated from believing nations?

He doesn't rule the nations nor most peoples yet. Oh, nothing happens except He permits it, even a bird falling !
But most peoples all of earth's history, especially the last 2000 years,
are very obviously NOT ruled by God nor by Jesus, but are adamantly opposed to Him and His people.

when Yeshua returns, as written in Revelation, and perhaps a few other places in Scripture,
THEN HE RULES, from Jerusalem.... always completely in line with all of Scripture.

Where did I ever say that I believed in a kingdom that would be floating in the air in the clouds? What I plainly said it that we are in a KINGDOM RULED FROM HEAVEN. Which is God's perfect design. Romans 9:6-8, "However, it is not as though Yahweh's plan had failed. For it is not everyone who is a descendant of Israyl who belongs to Israyl. Nor, just because they are his descendants, are they all Abraham's children; but: In Isaac will your seed be called. That is, it is not those who are the children of the flesh who are Yahweh's children; but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's seed."

Psalm 105:6-9, "O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Yaaqob, His chosen ones! He is Yahweh our Father! His judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, the Law He commanded for a thousand generations; Which He made; ratified, established, with Abraham, and vowed by His oath to Isaac. He confirmed it; let it stand, to Yaaqob for a Law, and to Israyl for an everlasting covenant."

Galatians3:28,29, "Is there not the Yahdai as well as the Greek; Gentile? Is there not the slave as well as the freeman? Is there not the male and the female? For all of you must be in unity in Yahshua Messiah. And if you are in Messiah, then you are a seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise."

Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; You are my Father, O Yahweh! You are the Rock of my salvation! And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast with Him. And I will establish his Seed forever, and his throne will be as the days of heaven. Should his children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change the what (Law) that has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness--I cannot lie, and I say to David: His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."

Romans 9:6-8, "However, it is not as though Yahweh's plan had failed. For it is not everyone who is a descendant of Israyl who belongs to Israyl. Nor, just because they are his descendants, are they all Abraham's children; but: In Isaac will your seed be called. That is, it is not those who are the children of the flesh who are Yahweh's children; but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's seed."
.......... if you are in Messiah, then you are a seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise."
........
John 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
remembering 'holy' , 'set apart' , Yahweh moved in and around and in front of Israel guarding them day and night....
and Yahweh is Spirit. (NOT 'a' spirit). Yahweh is Spirit. Yahweh is Holy. (set apart). Yahweh is Perfect.

Isaiah 63:10Expanded Bible (EXB)

[SUP]10 [/SUP]But they ·turned [rebelled] against him [Ex. 15:24; Num. 14:11; Ps. 78:17]
and ·made his Holy Spirit very sad [grieved his Holy Spirit; Ps. 78:40].
So he became their enemy,
and he fought against them.

Isaiah 63:10Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

10 However, they rebelled,
they grieved his Holy Spirit;
so he became their enemy
and himself fought against them.

was not the Father grieved? was not ABBA Himself sad? "His Own Self" "His Own Spirit" "He Himself" became sad, and became their enemy, and fought against them, here in Isaiah 63 ..............
from Hebrew understanding and language and life and all that He made His people,

to english, often, in the world(chruches) loses a lot in the translation.(in many places OT and NT). (re i.e. "Yahweh Breathed Life Into")

as > John 14:17-19Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

17 The world cannot receive him, because it neither sees nor knows him. You know him, because he is staying with you and will be united with you. 18 I(Yeshua) will not leave you orphans — I(Yeshua) am coming to you. 19 In just a little while, the world will no longer see me(Yeshua); but you will see me(Yeshua). Because I(Yeshua) live, you ("IN" Me(Yeshua)) too will live.

yes God's mercy is on them, but for the past 2000 years, all who have not believed on Jesus, and died, they won't be in Glory, still need to witness to them

we are to LOVE ALL PEOPLE --LOVE our neighbors--LOVE our enemies---what is LOVE? JESUS is LOVE-- JESUS is the judge and HE has the book of life--- many jews will convert and accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR and many will not-those who do not will perish-- not all JEWS will go to heaven - BUt I love Israel as a nation- and we are to PRAY for all nations--LOVE ---- LOVE and support all nations who have the hope of JESUS to be their LORD and SAVIOR--that hope remains alive till the very day JESUS returns--they are people-- pray for them --- LOVE them in your praying for them--- try to stop debating and try to LOVE MORE and PRAY more---is the word-
