Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

It doesn't say keep it spiritually or keep it every day but to keep the Sabbath day holy which is clearly set out at creation.

It should be a spiritual experience and we should have the right motives for keeping it but that is between you and God.
Is that mean only keep Holy on sabbath, an the rest of the day rob the bank?

Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Study the bible it is clear. The week was given by God but the 7th day of the week was set aside and made holy, and we are told to remmember it as the holy day of the week.
Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Was every day sanctified and made holy by God?.
Are we asked to keep every day Holy?

Being Holy is impossible for us to do, but we can obey the command to set aside the day that was made Holy.

Jesus is my high priest and keeping the laws given to the Jews that were a shadow of the heavenly is not needed or required today because Christ has fulfilled them. When the veil was ripped in two the sanctuary service finished.
Heb_2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

I believe those verses is for Israel before the death of Jesus.
Sabbath is and always has been for Hebrew and Gentile alike:

Isaiah 56:1-7, “Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil. And let not the son of the gentile who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and are holding onto My covenant: to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off. Also the sons of the gentile who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant, them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their ascending offerings and their sacrifices are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

Sabath is for doing righteousness/the will of YHWH not our own work/will:

Isaiah 58:11-14, "YHWH will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat; (strengthen), your bones. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And those of you will rebuild the old waste places; you will raise up the foundations of many generations; and you will be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In; If you turn away your foot from breaking the Sabbath: from doing your pleasure; your own business, your own pleasure, on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight; the holy day of YHWH honorable, and will honor Him by not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor engaging in idle conversation: Then you will find your joy in YHWH; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Yaaqob your father, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken it."

This is what Yahshua taught:

Mat 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

Mark 3:4, “And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do right on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.”

John 7:22-24, “Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the Torah of Mosheh should not be broken, are you wroth with Me because I made a man entirely well on the Sabbath? Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

If I am going to do something in the will of YHWH I beleive yes it is permitted. The day is for His will, driving my car to go to work or personal activity is not what the day is for.

John 7:24, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

Mat 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

John 7:22-24, “Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. Yahshua was accused of picking grain by the phariesees, He was out doing the will of YHWH all day and picked grain....

"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

That fits nicely with Christ's parable of the Good Samaritan. What would you say to your fellow Jews who would pass over on the other side?

I am not a Jew nor do I agree with Judaisim, race is of no consequence, following YHWH is. I would urge all those is false versions of worship to seek YHWH and not the doctrines of man or deception.

Numbers 15:15-16, “One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה. One Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”

Exodus 12:47-49, “All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is nativeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.”

I'm sorry, from your posts, and the Hebrew, I thought you were Jewish, or at least of the Jewish faith. I still do not understand what you would have done had you come across someone who needed help on the Sabbath and how you would have responded to those who criticised you.

Let me ask you this, there seems to be a gulf between the Old and New Testaments, so what would you say to the suggestion that the teaching of Jesus overrules the teaching of Moses? Would you agree or disagree?

(I have to go out, but I will be interested in your reply when I get back. Thanks.)

No worries.

The Sabbath is made for doing the will of YHWH, not to sit around relaxing or watching football.

Mat 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

Therefore if it were Sabbath I would of course help someone, that is inside it's true intent.

I do not see a "gulf" between the Law and the prophets and the Gospels anf Revelation. A man named Marcion renamed the books the "OT" and the "NT" he said the "OT" God was mean and angry and the "NT" God was nice and fuzzy, he also only accepted Paul's writings and said Jesus words were essentially done away by todays teachings.

My view is that Yahshua taught truth, the Hebrew leaders had made their own religion and enforce it and taught it mainstream, similar to mainstream doctrine today not being Biblical. Yahshua taught true doctrine as Moses did. However in Moses day the was a human priesthood and now Yahshua is the Priest, there is no more Levitical priesthood.

Simply put I would say Yahshua taught and did the true intentions of YHWH's Instructions.

John 5:43, “I have come in My Father's Name, but you do not follow Me. Let another come in his own name; him you will follow.”

John 7:16-17, "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching, whether it comes from YHWH, or whether I am speaking of My own authority."

John 5:19-20, “Therefore יהושע responded and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son is able to do none at all by Himself, but only that which He sees the Father doing, because whatever He does, the Son also likewise does. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all that He Himself does. And greater works than these He is going to show Him, in order that you marvel.”

John 5:28-30, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – those who have practiced righteousness, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practiced evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment. Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.”

John 12:44-50, “Then יהושע cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness. And if anyone hears My Words but does not watch over them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him: the Word that I have spoken shall judge him in the last day. Because I spoke not from Myself, but the Father who sent Me has given Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, as the Father has said to Me, so I speak.”

Jesus is my high priest and keeping the laws given to the Jews that were a shadow of the heavenly is not needed or required today because Christ has fulfilled them.
there is no record of either command or observance of a weekly sabbath until the manna was given in Exodus 16.

a test and a law and a rite given to the Israelites then, and then at Sinai as a shadow of heavenly things.
as part of a covenant that was torn along with the veil.

yes, rest at the end of a seven is mentioned in Genesis. so also in Genesis is the thing mentioned that is the meaning of the tzitzit, and its blue thread.

It was set apart at creation and the Commandment says to remember it TO "set it apart"

Genesis 2:1-3, “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. And in the seventh day the Mighty One completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And the Mighty One blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which the Mighty One in creating had made.”

Exodus 20:8-11, “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart." Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of יהוה your Strength. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.”

Yahshua thinks it will be valid at the end times He is the Sent one we must obey, I dont think He was wrong:

Matthew 24:20, “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.”

Also it is for Hebrew and Gentile alike:

So all this it's only for Jews thing is a complete lie of satan, no question.

It is clearly stated in Scripture yet people say the exact oppisite and love it...

here it says for gentiles who join themselves to Him in the context of covenant, not "to all mankind" as though it is clear moral conduct to all humanity, and He speaks of 'sabbaths' referring to the feasts, which were given with the covenant.

but aside from that, look at the whole chapter 58 of the prophet. look what God says about true fasting vs. ritualized, outward observance of fasting. this is the context of what you quoted. what does that say about truly honoring His rest? in spirit and truth, which covenant does He speak of, when He says "My covenant"? a covenant of works and blood sacrifice and ritual? or a covenant of truth and of spirit?

Christ works every day; every day He does the works of the Father. He is the true manna, the true rest, and the true blue thread of the tzitzit

honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord

Here we see Sababth was made for man:

Mark 2:27, "And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath."

Here we see the "Feasts" were for Hebrew and non-Hebrew alike:

Exodus 12:47-49, “All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is nativeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.”

Since this is Yahshua and the remaining Feast days have not yet been fulfilled, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles, thus they are clearly for those in MEssiah, they are 100% about Him...

SO YHWH says " Also the sons of the gentile who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath," and " when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born "

and you have excuses why it dosent mean what it says... ok.

but aside from that, look at the whole chapter 58 of the prophet. look what God says about true fasting vs. ritualized, outward observance of fasting. this is the context of what you quoted. what does that say about truly honoring His rest? in spirit and truth, which covenant does He speak of, when He says "My covenant"? a covenant of works and blood sacrifice and ritual? or a covenant of truth and of spirit?

The true intent of the Sabbath is shown in the verses I posted, because some people are fakers does not make the Sabbath invalid. You are speaking noinsense seeking to ignore His word.

Christ works every day; every day He does the works of the Father.

John 7:16-17, "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching, whether it comes from YHWH, or whether I am speaking of My own authority."

"he will know about this teaching" WHy? because the teaching did not change...

He is the true manna
and He said:

Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF Yah.'"

an none have yet entered that rest, any who claim to are making their own way:

Revelation 14:13, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"

Mat 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. And no one fully knows the Son except the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father, except the Son and those whom YHWH wills the Son to reveal. Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"

He gave a narrow path,

we can ignore it and make our own

or

seek His narrow path...

honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord

(Isaiah 58:13-14)

amen
Possibly you missed this post I made?

For it focuses on the Spirit or intent:

Mat 7:12-14, "Therefore, all things you want men to do to you, do the same to them, for this is the (intent of the) Law and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."

No worries.

The Sabbath is made for doing the will of YHWH, not to sit around relaxing or watching football.
