I don't see that at all.
I find he is well based on scripture.

What motivates some Christians here to search out the splinters in their brother's eye while totally ignoring the beam in their own?
This place is rife with haters who only see the bad in others - even brothers/sisters in The Lord and those trying to bring others to Christ or preaching The Word. I find it so sad when people feel the need to pick others apart - the whole world does that but we are set aside to be better.

I've not seen a single hater in this thread, or anyone making terrible statements about RA.
I am puzzled by the irony of someone called Amazing-Grace being mean and accusing people of being haters without proof.
If I were you I wouldn't judge someone else until you lived up to your own name.
Allow God's grace to work in your life and pass it on to others and go in peace.

He is defending Scripture to people who reject Scripture. If he referred to Scripture the debating term for that is begging the question. If he were teaching a class in Christian Apologetics to believers he would use scripture. When debating people who do not recognize Scripture as authoritative a defense has to be made from the viewpoint of philosophy and science. He does NOT take unscriptural positions.

Well that's rich coming from the one who searched the internet in order to dish the dirt on a man of God. Actually I wasn't only meaning this thread but CC in general but yeah if the cap fits...

Hello MarcR.. As I ask others to follow Acts 17:11, I try to follow it at all times. Here is the link to His Book "Jesus Among other Gods", I think you will find it interesting. After you have had time to read and digest it contents, we can discuss it if you wish.

Have a Blessed Next day

I've looked up what a christian apologist does and read about 6 pages & skimmed the rest. It didn't seem like a book written by an apologist.
Am I missing something?

You make a good point, quoting scripture to the unsaved is pointless, it just goes over the top of the head of the unbeliever. How do I know? I was one of them and scripture meant nothing to me because first you have to believe in the author before you desire His writings.

Most Christian apologists focus on teaching believers how to defend their beliefs intelligently. Ravi Zacharias specializes in defending Christian beliefs to people of other faiths. It requires a very different approach.

I haven't seen this in here. Is picking apart others OK with you because they don't see things your way, or Ravi's way, and/or think differently about it? Your usage of the word "haters" is over the top sister. Accusing these of "always" seeing the bad in others is unfounded, unnecessary.

Excellent point. Sort of like a "HELLLLLO" to the obviousness of a point well made. Tried to give you a rep but other people beat me to it.

Why this hate of Ravi Zacharias? He is a Christian apologist, he is not a pastor or preacher. He speaks to non-Christians and he does use Scripture at times. As other people have said non-Christians hear a Bible verse and usually don't think much of it. They are like so what? In fact on StarTrek.com, someone when a Christian quoted Bible verses they called it hate speech. Though there is no harm in bringing out the sword of the Spirit and he unleashes it when he needs to. Also, human thought is not necessarily divorced from the Scriptures. If that is the case, then Paul is questionable and he does use reason in his arguments. He uses references to wrestling in the Greek, the Olympic games, a Roman victory procession, etc. Just because you do not like Ravi Zacharias, does not mean that other Christians should not like the man. I am very intellectual and think deeply about things, he is up my alley and when a certain place might be dangerous, he asks for prayer from Christians. I don't understand the flack this man gets, it makes me righteously angry. "Christians" tearing down this man of God. Was saddened and shocked by the death of Nabeel Qureshi, since I saw him one day at the Meadowlands in NJ. That was a fun experience. I did have to define some terms for my friend Aaron, since Ravi uses sophisticated language. I can understand his accent, other accents are harder for me to understand. Also, if people have a problem with an accent, Paul would have spoken Hebrew and spoken and written in Greek, you think about that. Thanks. God bless. :)

Again, I think the term "hate" used with what others feel is unnecessary brother. :)

Nonetheless I believe Ravi has shown the world that not all Christians are ignorant, and can be quite intelligent. In fact I believe Christians should educate themselves and expand their knowledge and intelligence.

Many Christians throughout history were geniuses in their own right. Ravi is brilliant and I've gotten much out of what he has to say, I do however think there is more power in the Word and we should not shy away from that for the wisdom of man. As intelligent as Ravi is, I wish he'd expound more on it.

About accents? They do not bother me generally. I especially like D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones and he has a thick Welsh accent. One great man of God and expositor!

I don't understand how anyone here does not like Ravi Z.
He has always been loved by believers all over. In the 1980s and 90s our family listened to Christian radio all day and into the night. We got daily doses of Ravi Z., Chuck Swindol., David Jerimiah, Charles Stanley., J.Vernon McGee., James Dobson., John McGarther And a ton of other radio preachers and teachers. What a BLESSING!!!

I especially enjoyed Ravi Z when he came on later at night when the kids were asleep. He is an awesome man of God.

Seriosly? Are you new here? plenty of hate in this forum on a daily basis - pretty much anyway. Ok maybe the word "hate" was a little strong on this thread but really I've grown tired of people doing their best to bring down those on the public platform who are working for God and i happen to think that searching the net in order to dish the dirt on a brother is wrong and cruel. Im sorry if you think i overstated it

Wait a minute here!
YOU are the guy who has been the prime culprit in dishing up all the internet gossip as apparent evidence for the prosecution.
It is your ignorance and bigotry that has driven this thread due to the ridiculous unsubstantiated allegations that you have made...

First of all, when I say hate, I see this usually from Christians, when a certain Christian teacher is not to their liking, just look at comment sections and the like, people quick to judge so and so instead of hearing them and watching the videos in context. I also do not like this tendency in certain Christian camps to call someone a false teacher when they are not. I am bombarded with this, there are people I follow and then messed up Youtube videos that selectively edit what that pastor, teacher, says etc. I one time myself was deceived by one of these videos that went after Lecrae, a Christian rapper. So you get a sound bite but not the context of what has been said. As for Ravi he is not really an expositor, again he is a Christian apologist not really a pastor or preacher. Though that is not to say that there are not times that he does that with passages. When it came to the accents, I was not referring to you that was someone else who did not like his accent or something like that. I have heard of Martyn Lloyd-Jones. I am not Reformed but I have heard of those of Ligonier Ministries referring to him and even hearing audio recorded of him speaking. I like R.C. Sproul but don't agree with all of his positions, most, yes. But not all. I believe that the Calvinist position (which I am not) is greatly misunderstood by the Christian community. It is overly simplified by certain Christian groups, when it is really complex. Thanks. God bless. :)
