I only know that the Bible says that Jesus became a Curse so that we may receive the blessing of Abraham. I think you might have a misstranslation

Demi, you are talking to a lot of old posts.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

This was just brought up on another thread but thought it would be interesting to discuss...

"He became sin" who did no sin...would that not suggest that "sin" is a spiritual force?
IMO sin is a spiritual force,I mean man can't see sin with his sense knowledge, although we know what sin Is but he has never seen sin Its self.

JESUS said, would It be easier for me to say, your sins be forgiven or would It be easier for man to see the effects of sin being forgiven.

Matthew 9:1-8
King James Version(KJV)

1.)And HE entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

2.)And, behold, they brought to HIM a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and JESUS seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

3.And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

4.)And JESUS knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

5.)For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

6.)But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

7.)And he arose, and departed to his house.

8.)But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

JESUS called himself son of man many times, and the people that saw the man arise, take up his bed and go home, saw the physical effects of his sin being forgiven.

God told Cain that sin was crouching at the door and "ITS" desire was for you....in Gen 4:7

In Romans this "entity called sin" is in our flesh. ( which is why we were circumcised with the circumcision of Christ - circumcised of the heart and flesh - ie. the cutting away of our heart/inner man from our flesh...sealed with the Holy Spirit )

Romans 7:17-23 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
[SUP]21 [/SUP] I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,
[SUP]23 [/SUP] but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
Sin is like an entity. Vines puts it like this..

(b) a governing principle or power, e.g., Rom. 6:6; "(the body) of sin," here "sin" is spoken of as an organized power, acting through the members of the body, and in other passages, as follows, this governing principle is personified,
