He is a Karaite Jew and does not believe Yeshua is the Messiah. Karaite Jews do not consider the Mishna/Talmud as binding. The only similarity between Nazarene and Karaite Jews is our rejection of Rabbinic traditions. The Torah is the only source of faith and practice for Karaites. Nazarenes believe the Torah(instructions) includes both the Tanakh and the Brit Hadashah(NT). Shalom Aleichem.

That is a fact. Can you imagine Peter writting in the greek no way. Peter wouldnt even talk to gentiles at first Yeshua had to come and give Peter a few dreams to help him out, Paul had to correct Peter in Gal. about his double standard.
These are in the N/T as a wittness to help all of us.
But when Cephas (Peter) came to Antioch,I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For prior to the coming of certain men from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to withdraw and hold himself aloof, fearing the party of the circumcision. Galatians 2:11-12.
Paul called it hypocrisy.Peter did not hate the Gentiles here,he feared what the party of the circumcision would think. He ate with the Gentiles he had fellowship with them.

It was at least 15 years latter when Paul was with Peter in Galatians. There was a time Peter wouldnt teach gentiles. I know that there are people that hate this fact for what ever reason GOD gave the truth in scripture To hebrews for hebrews in hebrew to give the light to the world. I am not saying hebrews are better than anyone else. The cross did away with all of that way of thinking. We have the septuagint because Alexander the great wanted to rule the world. He knew that if you change the language you will change the culture. Just like Cortez in south America. Look at the native Americans there culture is all but gone. Hey here is an idea why not take all the greek in the N/T and line it up with the septuagint O/T and if something isnt there lets then think why it isnt there Because GOD didnt forget to tell us anything. Every thing has got to fit. When you change from hebrew concrete understanding to greek, latin ,english abstract it does change a lot of understanding. Just saying maybe check it out. If I remember Nehemiah teaches on this very subject. Blessings.

My goodness, some people must love the sound of their own voices! Have YouTube preachers never heard of being short, sharp and shiny with their message? You can have depth in a 25min talk too.

Lol I'm glad you're suffering through it. I do think it's worth it. Opened my eyes at least. But to be honest with you, I was doing something else as I was listening to it. I don't think I'd have the patience to sit still and just watch it for two hours.

Funny, I understood that Jesus actually talked in Aramaic. But he must have understood Greek, because there was no evidence of a translator when he was talking to Pontius Pilate.

Because of the Hellenization of the world, anyone who was in business or dealt with the Romans spoke Greek. Jesus was a carpenter with his father Joseph, and at that time Tiberias was being built on the sea of Galilee. I wonder if they went there for work and both had to learn Greek? Just some speculation.

And no thanks for a 2 hour video by a non-Christian.

A rose by another other name is still just as sweet.

Say it in your heart language, and believe in him. He is Immanuel, which literally means in Hebrew, "God with us." That is the most important part to remember. Also the Lamb of God, the Lion of Judah etc.

Henry Blackaby wrote a marvelous book on the names of God, including all the references. "Experiencing God." Not about experience, so much as how we have come to know Jesus and that he satisfies all our needs and hopes and dreams and desires.

I've never heard of Karate Jews. Poor kids. They should learn about Jesus. He is Great.

Please think for a moment about our Lord and the the Pharisees. Had Jesus, Yeshua, taught about the faith of Abraham at any time in any other languge but that of the Holy Scriptures they would have had cause to fault Him. They never found fault in His speech, therefore it is reasonable to believe understandibly that He always spoke in the language of the Written Word.. God understands all, it is man who has shortcomings.

I read sometime back that Jesus is a name, but as with all names has a meaning. Jesus is a combination of two words...Yeos meaning son and Zeus, the head of the Greek Pantheon. So, Jesus, in Greek, means son of Zeus and by extension, son of God.

I get the impression it was a transliteration of the Hebrew into Greek. Here's a link, but I disagree with their assessment that it was taken from Aramaic (still could have been): Online Etymology Dictionary I think the Zeus thing is one of those urban legends that many conservatives have but that atheists are known to imagine as well.
