Jesus said he did not come to be served but to serve.
Try allowing yourself to be served by Christ. Then come back and talk to me.
As jesus said, Whoever has entered his rest, has ceased from their work.

Hebrews 4:10
For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
I have entered his rest Peter. When will you?
EG - you have said you will walk in righteousness, purity but not obedience.

This is hypocracy because righteousness is defined by obedience. You cannot be righteous
and not obey. Obedience does not make you righteous, but if you are righteous you will obey.

This is why Paul says we are slaves to righteousness. It is like cause and effect.

But this divide demonstrates though the words are spoken the spiritual realities are very different.
So righteousness is not defined by Christ but by yourself in terms of behaviour.

I was talking about behaviour, I think you were talking about status. But hey, it is easy to confuse,
unless of course your desire is to deceive.

And I know the rest in Christ. If you know the rest in Christ which is about security and not proving
things, you would understand you intent is empty.

By the way we are called to serve like Christ did, because a follower is not superior to their teacher,
and as He served so must we. Or did you miss this in bible school. Probably on your off day lol

"SALVATION IS a POSITION"

Says everything really.

What a glorious place to be in HIM eternally

And those who are "in Him" that do not bear fruit shall be cut off....

John 15:1-6 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.[SUP]2 [/SUP]Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

To abide in Christ is to abide in the Way He told us to walk, and to also abide in the Truth of the gospel message, which leads us to Eternal Life. But unbelief can get you cut off from the Life of the Vine, and cast forth as a branch and burned.

Romans 11:19-22
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
[SUP]21 [/SUP]For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

The cross is what justifies and reconciles. His life is what saves.
For if, [while we] were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, by much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved in his life. Romans 5:10

his ressurection is part of the cross. if he stayed dead there would be no justification, reconciliation or salvation, ther are all one event in totality of the gospel. it is what paul meant

there stll is no work of mankind involved in his own salvation justification or reconciliation

You have a PM concerning your non-responsiveness in this thread to your post # 288.

These are my attempts to get the truth out to you and to give you time to speak what the truth is. But you have made multiple posts here and still have not responded to these posts : Post #291, # 293, # 298

I would check your PM. I am giving you a chance to rectify this and I will alert the mods to forget about your false allegation.

Conceptual understanding of being in Christ

It appears though people claim they can walk in righteousness and purity, ie respond appropriately
in the Spirit, and not in self, this is probably different meanings behind it.

What I am meaning is we can respond appropriately, from our hearts in love. Now some talk about
the spirit or the flesh, but a response is a response. Each thing goes through my senses and I
respond whether automatically using my emotional history or after some contemplation.

Now I can intervene or think about what is appropriate and sow to Christ or to myself.

What I am talking about through transformation of who I am I can respond appropriately
in righteousness. This is about the process of sanctification. Now by cleansing my soul
and conscience, through communion with Christ, and understanding my self, my reactions,
my weaknesses and strengths and knowing and sowing to Christ, I walk in righteousness.

Now this is what I mean about walking in righteousness, not a super-spiritual, looking to God,
ok, looking to self bad, switch.

The key issue is obedience and how we dwell on the issue Christ asks us to obey. It is not
a question of a reflex reaction, but taking seriously the different issues and working through
them. Now if this is your experience EG then Amen, but I do not think this is your thoughts at
all or meaning.

You are a joker. I gave a simple analogy of obeying your boss, and you ignored it.

Are you now saying you obey Christ? Follow His commands.
first off. Your reported yet again, When will you learn.

Second. I ask you a question, When did I claim I will not walk in obedience.

Either show the quote. Or stop this nonsense, it gets old.

This is like pulling teeth

Score so far Follow righteousness and purity yes, except whether this is actual doing or
just being in a status of righteousness and purity.

Obedience - sidestep, but probably obedience to not being under the law, so not having to
obey obedience. I expect nothing less in this double speak world. There is zero intention
of being plain in conceptual terms, so who knows what the words mean to these aliens.

No, it is worse than pulling teeth..
You keep making false accusation after false accusation. Then deny it..

Again, PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

WHEN DID I CLAIM I CAN NOT WALK IN OBEDIENCE??

You use double speak all the time. Do you obey Christ or not? You give the impression
you do not. I can but reflect back my conclusion. You have not tried to imply anything else.

Is it wrong to assume something when you refuse to be plain about what you believe?
I get the impression you are scared of getting things wrong. It does not convey you actually
know what you are talking about.

EG - As a disciple of Christ, it is hard to get you to declare where you stand.

I can but conclude you do not follow Christ.

I have declared it so many times, Everyone here prety much but you knows.

Your problem is not that I do not declare it, Your problem is YOU NEVER LISTEN TO WHAT ANYONE SAYS.. YOU THINK YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY BELIEVE and NO ONE CAN TELL YOU OTHERWISE.

You do not like provocative points do you. Do you understand how agressive you are and yet
if I use the same techniques on you, you cannot respond.

Are you gentle? No. Are you caring? No. Are you honest? No.

It is odd when I write the simplest points to try and clarify where you are, you get all hurt
and upset. Sounds to me like a very vulnerable defensive man.

You want to tear me down so so so so so so so so so so so so much, but it is not going to
happen.

YOU THINK YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY BELIEVE and NO ONE CAN TELL YOU OTHERWISE.
Well my friend, you proved yourself that was not true. I said there was little between us
if you can walk righteously, with right responses and a pure heart.

But then you go off on faith and not works rant. You intentionally create a model that I
do not hold to. It does not bother me.

You have stated you do not repent, turn from your sins, or confess you have sinned, because
the sin is already forgiven, before it is done. Now this implies certain moral spiritual beliefs that
I cannot agree with and the bible contradicts.

Jesus says sin no more. But you have implied this means just you cannot stop sinning so it shows
your failure and need of Christ. Whereas I would say Jesus is saying I am no longer a slave to sin
and can walk righteously. Now maybe you agree with me, but this is basic HG theology.

You will now say I am saying what you believe, but this is why there is a gulf between us and you
do not respond as I would expect someone filled with the Holy Spirit. I am not alone in this regard.

Following Christ is pretty simple.

Repent, come to faith, accept forgiveness through the cross and walk in righteousness.
Paul says there should not be even a hit of any kind of impurity or greed.

This reminds me of Creflo Dollar running up and down over money, saying if you give you
get back 100 times the amount. Now when in the company of people who say Creflo is
a man of God, it is hard to tell the sheep from the wolves especially as you wish to keep
their company.

Listening to others

I suppose the question is of value. What should I be listening to? The wisdom of Grace7
and Joseph Prince, or the redefiners of the sermon on the mount from Holland, or
Joyce Mayer and comsumerism, and spoiling yourself after a hard day.

Or maybe to something else, like Latter rain theology, or Kenneth Copland and the little
gods approach, command authority where we can create exnihilo. So here on cc there
is much to listen to and reject. So I do listen, closely but I ignore slanderers and liars
whose intention is just to cause division and miss-lead.

1 Peter 2:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

1 Peter 4:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

Report away dude. :) I am not obligated to respond to your baseless allegations. I already told you the truth, and I already told you I am not playing your little entrapment games. All you are doing is showing your true colors for all to see, so do your worst and we will see what good will come of it. :)
