Just a word about the book of Enoch. We do not know that the Enoch that lived before the flood actually wrote that book. I believe that the quote in Jude concerning the prophecy of Enoch was actually a quote from Enoch that was known to Jude. That quote of Enoch was also in the writings that are claimed to have been written by Enoch, however that still does not mean that the book ascribed to Enoch was actually written by Enoch. Someone could have written the book ascribed to Enoch and then placed an actual quote from Enoch in order to make it appear more authentic. If Enoch wrote scripture why did not Moses include it in the scriptural writings they copied? Plus there are some ridiculous things in the book of Enoch(giants 45 feet tall).
I agree that Enoch wasn't the one that actually "wrote" the book of Enoch. I assume Enoch's testimony was passed down through oral tradition before it was written. In the same way, Moses, who is believed to have written Deuteronomy, would not have been the one who wrote about his own death although his death is in Deuteronomy. That doesn't make the contents of Deuteronomy any less true. Regardless, there is enough in scripture to raise an eyebrow when it comes to references concerning the "watchers" or the "Sons of Elohim."

I said before you need to use a Modern English version to understand because you're obviously not understanding the Elizabethan English that is used in the King James.
Jonah 2:7
When my life was ebbing away, I called out to the Lord,
and my prayer came to your holy temple.

When your life is ebbing away You're Not Dead. After Jonah's prayer in this chapter the fish who him up onto dry land still alive.

When my life was ebbing away, I called out to the Lord,
and my prayer came to your holy temple.
I can't argue with you there. Elizabethan English is not my thing. That's why I rely heavily on the Interlinear Bible otherwise, it's just an endless battle of bible versions. As I said earlier, I'm not a scholar but I am a truth seeker. That's why I posted the Hebrew meaning of the word previously.

I haven't heard anyone come to the Lord that way either. It makes me think of the scripture that God draws us with lovingkindness, not with fear of hell.

Romans 2:4
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
I totally agree with you, sister Desertsrose. After all:

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." (1John 4.18).

I believe a real calling from the Spirit of God will present the whole truth, that the lost person is indeed headed for hell, but that the love of God has made a way for the person to be saved by faith in Christ sacrifice.
