lol. I have sat in the presence of many Moslems and not felt the sense of animosity that you get from sitting with a Satanist, who will simply slit your throat if they get the chance.
Also, if you are claiming that theres animosity due to the Christian view of Islam, maybe you need to learn what Islam teaches about Christians-

Quran 9:30 “And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”.

Quran 5:51- "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

If you believe that Christianity preaches such hate against Muslims, while Islam preaches love and acceptance of Christianity, you do not know Islam.

You are wrong on that Yereza. The Koran specifically guides you to the Gospel. Sorry, but any book that endorses the gospel is pointing people to Christ.

"ALLAH is HE besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. HE has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth and fulfilling that which precedes it; and HE has sent down the Torah (Law of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guidance to the people; and HE has sent down the Discrimination (judgement between right and wrong)."—Qur'an, Surah 3:3-4

No it doesnt

Anyone/any organization who felt a need to add to THE ONE TESTIMONY of GOD makes manifest that they don't even understand the magnitude of THE GOSPEL

I am surprised that the poster who was very vocal about the "bickering" being offensive is no longer complaining

I've had a quick scan on what the Koran actually says. It definitely denies that Jesus is the Son of God, so it has to be viewed as an antiChrist doctrine, I would agree.

It also points very clearly to Christ in other ways, e.g. it understands that Jesus will return for judgement day, and it understands that he is the Messiah.

However, it curses those who say Jesus is the Son of God.

It is totally confused really.

Yup, youre right, it does in fact tell us that allah also gave us the Gospel and the torah as well-

Quran 3:3-4 "He has revealed to you the book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and he revealed the torah and the Gosple aforetime, a guidance for mankind, and he revealed the criterion."

And it tells Christians to judge the quran by the Gospel-

Quran 5:47 "Let the people of the Gospel judge by what allah hath reveled therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel."

And yet it still denies that Christ was the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins, in fact, I literally just posted all this this morning, as proof that Muhammad was a false prophet.

Yup, the quran contradicts itself in this manner, hoping that its listeners do not know better.

I have earlier written about my part time foster daughter that stays here every third week. She is a Muslim, but hasn't been that religious. We avoid pork when she is here, otherwise it goes very smoothly. Now she is here again, and she has changed. She wants to pray and wear hijab and cover herself when she is praying. And I feel bad. I don't really like that it is prayed to any other God than our Heavenly Father in my home. But I can't stop her, can I? It is OK that she doesn't eat when it is light, and she eats nuts, pizza and olives when she breaks fast. But prayer? Can I refuse her, or just be confident that we serve a mighty God and that my prayers in the Spirit will protect my home and that any other principalities have no authority in my house?
Be faithful in Christ.. God is above all principalities... also as a Christian, you have the authority to declare the works of the devil to be dead.

It calls Jesus Messiah, but the word has an entirely different meaning for the Muslims than it does for anyone else.

Youve just reposted everything Ive already said here ten times now.

It praises Jesus as a "good prophet", and nothing more. It denies Him of everything He is and everything He did for us, but tries to hide it behind a "we believe in Jesus, He is one of our greatest prophets!" mask, therefore leading any Christian who does not yet really know the Gospel to accept the quran as the word of God.

Proof here-

And I would suggest this, too : p It would be really really good to learn about Islam and what it teaches, so that you can talk to her about it, and help her understand how its wrong. In fact, I have three verses Id like to share with you here-

Quran 3:3-4 "He has revealed to you the book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and he revealed the torah and the Gosple aforetime, a guidance for mankind, and he revealed the criterion."

Quran 5:47 "Let the people of the Gospel judge by what allah hath reveled therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel."

Quran 18:27 "And recite what has been revealed to you of the book of your lord, there is none who can alter his words; and you shall not find any refuge besides him"

According to these three verses, the word of allah cannot be changed by anyone. And the torah and the Gospel are from allah as well, and Christians are even commanded by allah to judge the quran against the Gospel. As Christians, we both know that the Gospel tells us that Christ was the Son of God who came to die for our sins : p If you can talk to her about things like this, I think it could totally be helpful. Definitely study up on the Bible and the quran, so that you can teach her how the two are not from the same God.

You should start a separate thread on Islam Yereza, you seem quite knowledgeable about it. I have to confess, I really do not know much about it at all. You kind of feel you ought to read the Koran to see what it says, but then you think, 'nah', boring. I have to confess, having lived in the Middle East a long time, I was always told it was just a version of Judaism, which I accepted. And it is really; it is an old covenant style legalistic system which denies Christ, though not as violently as Judaism.

Hell yeah. Jews go mad if you mention Jesus. The Koran says lots of positive things about Jesus, but then seems to do a loop and say:

"Even though he's the Messiah who came in the flesh and who will judge the earth at his 2nd coming, he's not the Son Of God and his revelation is superseded by Mohammeds."

Or something like that. Like I say, no expert and the Muslims I have met told me they were destined to be Christians.

Too complex for me.
Just preach the gospel in simplicity I reckon.

people mock and hate what they do not understand.

people like Gandhi got it. there was a story that a Hindu came to Gandhi in despair, asked him what shall i do, i have killed a Muslim man and made his son an orphan, Gandhi told the Hindu man to adopt the boy and raise him a Muslim.

And its good that he raised him a Muslim?

And I hate Islam, but not because I dont understand it. I understand it fine : p I hate it because it leads people away from their savior. Its by Biblical definition an antichrist religion.

^^^ Allah is not the God of the Bible. This you have gotten very wrong.
To Arabs including Christian ones the name for God is Allah. Islam does not recognize Jesus as being the Son of God but as a Prophet. When looking at Judaism one could ask whether Jews worship the same God because most of them don't recognize Jesus in any role at all

That can be said for everything in the world apart from Christianity because Salvation comes from a belief in Christ. Actually the whole world is Antichrist at some level. The only Biblical definition of an Antichrist is given by John

Every Spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God
and every Spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh
is not of God and this is the Spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye heard that
it should come and even now already is it in the world.

1 John 4:2-3 KJV

It is believed that john was warning against Gnostic teachings that were beginning to creep into the Church. One main teaching is that flesh is evil and that Jesus was not really flesh and blood but a Spirit.
