I actually was referring to your interpretive statement. I'm not doubting scripture or calling it hogwash, and never presumed my "ideas" are better than scripture. Talk about arrogant and foolish. I referring to the love of some particular so-called Christians and their poor treatment of homosexuals as being perceived as a bunch of hogwash. I get it. Sin destroys, mankind is ultimately given over to a reprobate mind when they reject God continually...whether they end up homosexual or not. My point is that there are more people who reject God that are NOT homosexual than there is who ARE, being that homosexuality is still in the minority, and giving them over to their own sin or reprobate minds is not the same as God making them homosexual at His discretion as a judgement against them. Just sayin'.

I must say some of the guys that have admitted this struggle on this thread, have been very honest and reasonable..while upholding the moral standards of Christ ... I admire that and believe honesty about who we are and who Christ is, is the truth that sets us all free... Like to say thanks to the folks who have discussed this issue in such a civil and honest way 
I have learned to care very much what the unsaved world thinks about biblical morality. They control most of the academia of the USA. They, that is the public sector, are educating our children.
A 'for instance' is a recent special school board meeting dealing with a single issue. The issue was a second grade teacher showing her class a video about a kingdom's prince that rejected a wonderful princess for his boyfriend, married at the end of it with the blessing of the king, teaching "tolerance". Whatever they decide, that can't erase the poison already dosed. Yes, it should matter to Christians what the teachers believe about homosexuality.

I was thinking the same thing deesandpooh, lets not condemn homosexuals, we are all sinners in need of saving. The Bible is plain about homosexuality, it is wrong and sinful but so is murder and lieing and stealing. The feelings and tendencies we are born with are all affected by sin so we may have gay feelings and no one else can understand these struggles. So pray about it and ask God for help like an alcoholic that desire alcohol you can overcome by Gods grace.

GOD says it is! Will you argue with Him? And if you do, do you really think you will win that argument? Only God can say what sin is and what it isn't. And He says homosexuality is sinful, depraved, and unnatural. He says he that knows the good he ought to do yet CHOOSES not to do it, sins! So God says it is a sin AND that it is a choice. For you know the good you ought to do is to choose not to do what God says not to do. He says do not be deceived, homosexual offenders will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Neither is our sin nature a choice. We were born with it. And by the way, I don't single out homosexuslity, lesbinisn, porn, or any other sexual perversion as worse then one another. I don't think God color codes sin as our Catholic bethren sometimes think. If a husband defiles the marriage bed with his wife in a perverted act, that is also sexual immorality. When it becomes a lifestyle, a transgression, it has moved to another level and the person who is in such a lifestyle is on his or her way to hardening their heart toward God. After what Jesus did for us on the cross, you may as well call Him a liar.

I'm thinking GOD says you can be gay (happy) but not lay down with another man. In the same area of the bible is not laying down with a beast. If you love the beast is it acceptable ?
Also think about the last two decades and even the past few years how homosexuality has been accepted and the way the state of the world has gone.

Homosexuality is most certainly a choice, but in the environment of the world where wrong is right and right is wrong, it's something that people grow very comfortable with.
The beauty of our relationship with the Lord is that even when homosexuals repent of a life lived outside of Christ and are saved, if they allow Him to, God will remove these feelings and desires! Our God is an awesome God. However, while we come to Christ as we are, we cannot leave as we are. If there is no change, there is no relationship with Him.

In regards to the statement 'Homosexuality is not a choice!!!!' This statement is probably true - there seems to be no real medical evidence to say otherwise (as far as I am aware).
In the society we live in and the laws we live under we need to be mindful of how society as a whole views this issue. It is coming more and more acceptable than say 20 years ago. The big argument is that that gender and biological makeup are not the same thing. This of course was started with the extreme feminists..so nothing new.
Theres a couple of things that might help.. We need to keep on witnessing to all people of their sin before God. If you dont tell them why they need a saviour they wont understand the need for one. Those in darkness won't like it... and its not the easiest of times to witness however, remind yourelf of those christians in areas where it brings death not just ridicule,,that might help us all with courage.
The church itself needs show an example to the world..that is walking in integrity! Do we really live how we should..or do we just make excuses? Do Christians live in sexual purity? - Human sexuality is a big issue in our culture (the west), and purity of it needs to start with the church - the body of Christ. There is no poit crying over spilt milk.. Chrstians need to come from under the basket and let their light shine into a dark world.
