We are new creations and only to the degree that WE RENEW our minds to the knowledge of God and Christ . . . . will we manifest that Christ within. Feed your mind crap and crap will manifest . . . feed your mind with the things of God and that new creation within you will manifest itself. . . . That new creation is not a magic trick . . . We are given NEW DESIRES . . . but we still have our same mind - that is why we are told to "put off the old man" and "put on the new man." We are told to "cast down imaginations and every thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God" . . . We are to "put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, as Christ forgave you, so also do you. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Sounds sort of like the fruit of the Spirit, right? So as we put off the old man and put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him who created him . . . we will manifest the things of God and bear fruit in our lives.

The interface really IS the new spirit we receive.

If you want to know it's precise workings start here with the Holy Spirit ... maybe God will grant you understanding.

I won't go into it much ... but the seven churches as a whole comprises the spirit (the lampstand) and the angels are like ears and voices....messengers.

20 The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. (rev 1)

There are many passages that unequivocally tell that God does indeed communicate with us by the Holy Spirit.
None, as far as I am aware, explain exactly how the process works.

It is not our intelligence as suggested by one post. Several refutations have already been posted on this.
One thing is certain though - the Holy Spirit will never contravene a principle of the Word of God but will rather confirm it.

One more little helping hand ... You asked about the mind ... that would be the church of smyrna ...

God's Holy Spirit speaks to our new spirit that was given to us when we were reborn.

But we must be reborn to understand such things ...

John 3 :12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

If we don't have a new spirit in us then we do not have ears to receive knowledge of spiritual things from the Holy Spirit

Is there a functional difference between the brains of a spiritually mature Christian and an emotionally mature non-Christian?

Any thoughts?
IMO,the spiritually mature Christian walks by faith and not by sight and the emotionally mature non-Christian walks by sight and not by faith.

Perhaps, we need to first ask what is the difference between our souls, our minds, and our brains. (I don't have an answer for this.)
Excellent point.

The brain is organ of the body responsible for converting oxygenated blood into involuntary animation of the flesh for such things as heartbeat, breathing and other things performed by the sub-conscious necessary for the life of the flesh.

The mind is the ability of voluntary animation by the free will of the living creature to produce their own animation by their own conscious though.

The soul is ability to discern between the things we can change and the things we cannot change, and the conscience to know the difference.

Brain....physical realm

Mind...science attempt at understanding the spirit but not the same exactly

Soul...connection between spirit and physical realm...where our identity mostly resides.

Hebrews 4:12 ►

New International Version
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

We are given a new spirit, a new mind that strives for things of God and not lusts of this world. We have to train our brain and our hearts to be obedient to God's will.

Man is comprised of body (soma), soul (psuche) and spirit (pneuma).

Psuche is the Greek word from which we get the English words "psyche," "psychology" etc.

Three levels of function; physiological, psychological, and spiritual.

Great bed side manners.
Satan is one's thoughts? Care to explain?
Satan is in the flesh, the dirt, the mind. He is the thoughts, the one thinking. Selfish. Do yourself a favor. Shout in your mind. Shot something silently in your mind. Notice what happens. God shows you, he is outside the servant of Satan, not within. You must deny Satan to know God. Know that the eye, the ears, the nose, the flesh, is controlled by the liar. He is your advisor , he gives you everything you can see and know, he is your master. You must deny him and God will come to you, not from within, but from outside of self. how did adam and even know shame? Their thought. Know satan, know the liar and know where he dwells, where he is, what he is.

Re: the OP title ...
All spirit beings can place thoughts in the minds of all humans ...
... the Triune Godhead, their angels, Satan, and his fallen angels.

Christians are to filter all of their thoughts through the filter,
which is God's word, to discern the source of these thoughts.

These are not my truths, these are Gods words, Jesus teachings, to me, now. I do not read the bible, I have not learned anything from the bible. Gid s truths, God, Jesus teaches me. How do you learn? I an Jesus' advocate, I speak his words, I know him, I see him, he is with me. I learned the mind and how it works in just two weeks. No kan knows the mind better than I do. No man knows the devil and all his tricks better than I do. God has shown me. None of you know God or Jesus and yet you claim you do, and here ye is, with me, speaking to you now, and you still decide to worship and obey the thoughts coming from you from the flesh, they grounds outside your temple, the yard of your temple and not Jesus, who is at your gate asking to enter your temple.

Back again, I see. You really should alter your writing style every time you rejoin CC.

No.. Gods words given by God are undeniable. Man cannot and will not discern anything. Man is not God. God judges, not man. Know God, deny yourself and stop thinking. thise thoughts are the devil. God does not communicate the wsy of sstsn, God does not talk to tye flesh, the dirt, God seeks and knows the soul, that's it. Satan, those thoughts, are condemned. Wrong. Judged. Foolish is the liar. God wiill not speak to the flesh, it is not his language and satan cannot hear or know God.
