No, the Jews or Israelites must I say are a scattered people. They are not gentiles. They may of mixed with gentiles, but they play a big role in God's plan.
When God called his son out of Egypt, he was speaking of ISRAEL. Israel is God's first born. Read the next few verses and you will understand that it is not talking about Christ.
