I needs some help with the "Antichrist" prophecies.

Could you ask any easier question than this? This is low hanging fruit. And anyone replying to this looking for a debate, I'm not replying back. I'm set in my ways, and don't need to get in any tar baby debates with message board folks on this topic.

And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Revelation was written before 100 AD.
President Obama became president in 2008 AD.
There is nothing shortly or near about an anti-Christ arising almost 2000 years later.
Now he may offer some semantic ways around shortly and near.
Just ask him, well if God meant to say literally shortly and near, how else would he have said it, other than by using these words so close by each other!?!
I'm sure your friend is all about a "literal" interpretation of Revelation.
If he is, then he's pretty much stuck with taking short and near, as short and near.

well yes... you kinda did! Your original post about the "anti-christ dilemma", did not require the specific details about this person being your boyfriend. You are a member of the "Body of Christ", aren't you? Be glad the Holy Spirit inspires some to see beyond the surface of your problem and to speak into your life in a way that could help you avert future disaster.

Well your boyfriend is lucky to have you. You care about what he believes. At first I thought this was a crazy idea that Obama might be the antichrist, & I still don't think he is. However, Scripturally speaking, forget the future events, but obama meets almost all of the other requirements. This will setlle IT:
ASK YOUR BOYFRIEND IF HE THINKS OBAMA WAS BORN IN HAWAII.
If he was born in Hawaii, then he does not fit Scripture thus far.
If he was born in Africa, as the African govt says he was, then he could be the antichrist. But then so does any male born in the east, who pretends to like women but really doesn't, (there was a book & a man claiming to be obama's lover), he's tall, powerful, speaks well, & he is not a Christian but pretends to be. Time will tell. Henry Kissinger said on PBS that , "We want Obama to head the New World Order." That flipped me out when I saw that on tv. But I don't think it will be any one so prominent. Has anyone checked out the you tube explanation of Obama's name. Apparently in aramaic it translates to "lightening from the heavens". Jesus stated he saw Satan as lightening from the heavens. You'll have the check the verse and the video. For now the US remains an Obama_nation. I'm not saying he is the antichrist but I wouldn't trust him. No offense to patriots, just playing with words.
He is highlu Republican as am I, but I do not believe every conspiracy theory about the guy.
The whole topic started out as a joke. Twinkies became extinct was a "sign"...Then we started talking seriously. He did say that he HOPES I am right.
I told him I would gather up all the info I could to calm his mind. So I thought why not come back here and ask for input from bible believers.
