NOW two or three family members have to work to support the family with the basic necessities. Corporate GREED, will eventually kill the goose that laid the golden egg. NO WAY will they ever be satisfied with a smaller profit margin. They have forgotten how our grandfathers and great grandfathers successfully ran their businesses. They were happy with genuinely competing to keep prices low, so that they sold more items than a competitor; basing their profit margin on quantity of sales, NOT MAXIMIZING PRICE OF EACH ITEM, like the Corporate GREED of today.

The Chaplain that I worked for when I was a Volunteer Chaplain in a State Maximum Security Prison in California back in the 90s, turned in a suggestion to the California Governor. He suggested that they add a requirement to felony convictions that would require inmates learn to read, write, and speak English before they were eligible for parole. Of COURSE, the Governor rejected the idea.

I am no Obama supporter, but maybe if our do nothing congress now ran mostly of republicans would have stepped up and came up with a bill on this issue for the past 4 years he would not have to override a push his own agenda's.
