Well, Miri. for example: as a person who has studied Greek, I have done a bit of research and found something interesting. The only way I know to let the church benefit from that is to put some stuff on here for free.
Why do I want to end this endeavor on a given date? I abhor being attacked. For instance, recently, I was told that wolves are bad and the fellow quoted every verse about wolves as could be found. Why? because I made a comment about bringing the lone wolves back to the church. I know to use the term lost sheep instead. Even though lone woves thrive in the wild and sheep are rendered into fertilizer. It isn't worth the effort...
I dont try to do this in my church because I find it makes the minister think I am showing off. Two of my ministers have not studied Greek. It's bad to make a minister look bad. However, to give a gift to the church, we have forums.
You may not hav meant this to be an attack, but that is exactly how I saw it.
The way you put yourself across is very strange, you sound like some sort of advertising or
game show host. Most people when coming across a group of strangers either in real life or
the internet, would introduce themselves, get to know people a little.
If you think you have something worthwhile to bring to half a million people, or
you believe you are called to present Gods word, there are better ways of doing this otherwise
you come across as some sort of scam artist (You might still be for all I know).
No one goes from nought to instant recognition, fame, renowned bible teacher over night. But
you seem to want to do this. I saw your other thread where you had tried something similar at
your church. If the time is right and you are genuine, then God will open the doors for you. If
they keep slamming shut in your face that should tell you something. There's nothing wrong with
enthusasim but it needs a certain level of emotional and spiritual maturity and growth to be the
aforementioned.
First there is God's timing, proving yourself, earning the right and respect to teach, there are a lot
of charlatans out there, people won't listen to someone who pops up out of nowhere and says
hear me I have the answers, only I know the truth etc. That's how cults are born.
If an unknown person turned up at your church announcing I'm the great interpreter of scripture,
hear me only I know the truth, it will astound you etc. Would you instantly give that person a
microphone and pulpit?
As far as I am aware the only person who is qualified to do that is Jesus.
So how about you introduce yourself, tell us a bit about yourself, what your beliefs are etc.
Get to know this place etc.
