we should not misrepresent the scripture.

in Genesis 26:5 Abraham was not credited with righteousness for keeping the word God had spoken to him: it was declared that Abraham's seed would be blessed, and through his seed all the nations would be blessed, because of this.

Abraham believed God, and for this, God credited to Abraham as righteousness. Genesis 15:6, several chapters previous, when the very same blessing was promised to him.

Well said...if "law-keepers" would only stand up and speak for Christ's work on their behalf even half as much as they did for the out dated law of Moses - than their Lord and Master would be lifted up finally in some fashion anyways.

It's amazing to watch how many different ways they try to put the law of Moses over Christ's work.

Peter tried to do the same thing on the mount of transfiguration. He said let's build 3 tabernacles one for Moses ( the Law giver ), one for Elijah ( the law restorer ) and one for Jesus.

Peter was trying to put the 3 of them on equal ground. The law had a purpose which was to bring us all to Christ.

The Father spoke and said. This is My beloved Son, Hear Him!

There once was a man named Howard. Howard was a very careful driver. He completely obeyed all the traffic laws in our town. Yes, with perfection, he fulfilled them all. Stop signs, speed limit signs, no parking signs - Old Howard kept every single law. In memory of his passing, the town abolished all traffic laws, since Howard had fulfilled them so perfectly.
As a matter of fact, in that town now, if you try to drive under the speed limit, you will get angry looks from the townsfolk. They will tell you that you are trying to add to what Howard has done. So, in this town, driver beware, don't dare try to obey the old traffic signs.

an allegory?
How is that "in memory of" Howard

if all Loved Howard they would do what Howard did

so then we have actually achieved zero orbit and forget all the slingshot effects...

what do you mean we can use a plane? what about tailgating?
We'll have to find Howard's lost scrolls to determine if tailgating is permitted on the plane... My hippocampus is beginning to hurt.

what about tailgating?

good question! i'm conflicted about tailgating.

the physics is quite clear: the closer i am to the back of a tractor trailer, the more enveloped my car is in the low pressure zone behind it, and the better my fuel economy is. markedly better. really, really noticeably better. i'm saving the earth, preserving natural resources, and preventing my currency from being passed into the hands of Arab oil sheiks who support ISIS. and if i were to end up rear-ending the semi because of a sudden stop, the tractor trailer may not even notice, and it would be entirely my own fault, and wouldn't harm the driver of the truck's job security or record at all.

but then, isn't it much cheaper to just eat at home before you go out to the football arena in the first place?

Sounds like a LOT of work, you should check out grace and leave a large carbon footprint.

interesting posts throughout.
some deviate from Scripture, but hey, it is the 21st century!
yes! like yours! ;)

and that's your position? that you can keep Torah by not really keeping Torah since it's the 21[SUP]st[/SUP] century?
how interesting!
